Sad to say from the moment we walked in it was not too pleasant. She has her owns beliefs and entitled but would rather her provide a service and keep her opinions to herself. She frowned up the fact our dog wasn't neutered. It was difficult to get an appointment, not the cleanest area and she is not very personable. Not only is she Very rude, a know it all, opinionated, she did not listen to me or take into consideration my concerns or handling of my baby. I brought my Yorkshire terrier here for the works (bath, nail trimming, and cut). I had read some reviews online and thought this had to be the place. When I arrived, we were greeted and I felt I was leaving my baby in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. I was absolutely right! When I returned to pick up Usagi (my yorkie) she seemed to be the life of the party there and genuinely looked happy to be around Michelle, her team, and the other dogs. Before I set my next appointment, I asked about my other dog, Billy. He is a pug but he is very anxious, and I've never really felt safe leaving him anywhere because of how sketchy he is, just as his personality. Michelle advised me to bring him in and see how he would get along with everyone. At usagi's next appointment (approximately four weeks later), I took Billy and Usagi in and again, although I was very nervous for Billy, once we got there Michelle paid very special attention to Billy and his needs. I knew and felt that he was in excellent hands. About three to four hours later, I got a phone call from Michelle and feared the worst! To my surprise, she said that Billy was good and he did very good. I was so happy, I couldn't believe it! I appreciate objective and transparent reviews, especially as a cautious fur-parent. Over the past 18 years we've rescued/adopted large breeds with a mixed bag of backgrounds and have to be very careful with who/where we place trust in their care. We have a 170lb senior Saint Bernard with bad hips, 140lb Saint Bernard with severe anxiety and a 110lb puppy Bernese/Husky mix with a lot of energy. Michelle is hands down the only groomer that has the skill, confidence and experience with such a wide-range of needs and we're so grateful that we found her a year ago. Our senior comes home fully bathed/groomed (without limping, exhausted or still wet), our anxious girl follows Michelle (and also allows for the full bath/grooming without trying to escape), and the puppy was wagging his tail, un-phased after his new experience/first formal grooming. We were referred here by our vet (Citrus Veterinary Clinic) and they weren't wrong! I'd previously used a mobile groomer for the convenience...except she stopped returning my calls and messages, so I had to find a place fast! This place is great! We've visited a few times now and have a pretty good grasp of the place. There are always lots of dogs there (on the weekends at least) and they're all happily moving around. Smaller dogs (and dogs not on flea treatment) get to watch the excitement from kennels that line the walls - so they're sort of a part of the action without actually being in it. The good? Prices are super reasonable ($45 for my small dog) - and the cut is always PERFECT. They are the 3rd groomer my puppy has ever visited and we agree they've given him the best cuts. They listen to what we want and execute it perfectly. The bad? It's crazy crowded on the weekends and it takes about 4-5 hours. But I just drop my dog off in the morning and pick him up when they call, so it's not really a bad. The great? Grooming just isn't fun for dogs, but my dog has never come home depressed or traumatized or upset - he comes home in a pretty good mood because despite the horrors and indignity of having his butt shaved, he got to meet new friends and play with new dogs. We'll be coming here from now on! read more
