We finally gave him a strict, final 48-hour deadline. Minutes after the deadline passed, he called to say the documents were being sent over. We waited until the next morning, only to find out that absolutely nothing had been received. While an agent cannot control a client's actions, Mr. Bailey is entirely responsible for his own lack of follow-through. He failed to properly vet the buyer, verify paperwork, or submit documents in a timely manner. What should have been a straightforward 35-day escrow turned into a chaotic 60-day nightmare. Because of this, our family is now stuck navigating a changing market with rising interest rates as the winter season approaches.
