Marjorie was amazing. This was the 2nd home she helped me buy. She is always looking out for her clients and is tireless when working with buyers and sellers. read more

Marjorie was amazing! I had already moved out of town, and she took charge of everything to do with fixing and staging the house, including painting, preparing the garden, and bringing in furniture to show it at its best, all. in consultation with me. A month after we agreed she would represent me, Marjorie put the house on the market, then held an open house, and a day later I had two very good offers. The house sold over asking price! The buyers wanted a quick escrow so there was a lot to do in a very short time after the agreement was signed, and again Marjorie made it all happen quickly and efficiently. I couldn't be happier with her work and the results! This is my second adventure with Marjorie, as she help me buy the house 25 years ago. Her service has always been exemplary, and I highly recommend her to you both as a buyer's agent and a seller's agent. read more

Marjorie recently sold my parents' home (trust sale following their deaths). The house had only minor updates in the 60 years my parents' owned the home. Marjorie took a dark and dusty house and made it into a bright and welcoming home that received multiple offers over asking. There was only one weekend in which the house was shown. This was done with just a few cosmetic updates. Because i am located 400 miles away, Marjorie coordinated everything - she even personally hung the curtains in each room! Marjorie is kind, helpful, and professional. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

Marjorie is a true real estate professional in every aspect of selling a home. She has sold three homes for me, and when it's time to sell the next one, I'll be calling her again. From the very beginning of the process through closing, Marjorie stays fully engaged--anticipating challenges, removing obstacles, and ensuring your home is presented to sell quickly and at a competitive price. Her attention to detail and extensive experience make the entire process smooth and rewarding. read more

Marjorie is an asset to have on your side when buying a house in the Redlands area. She will subtly nudge you in the right direction if she sees you going down the wrong path. Something we definitely needed since we just moved to California and didn't know all of the ins and outs. She was available at any time of day since our work schedules went late a lot of the time. She made sure the inspections were done properly, and the negotiations landed at the right place for us. Her years of experience gives her the knowledge of the history of Redlands and makes moving here and buying a house much easier. I highly recommend her read more

We met Marjorie at an open house and little did we know she would turn out to be our realtor. Her knowledge of Vintage Homes is amazing. Her attention to detail, her communication and knowledge helped us through every step of the home buying process. Marjorie went above and beyond our expectations and my husband and I are thrilled with her services. She truly cares about you and wants the best possible outcome for everyone involved. We love our new Victorian Home and have Marjorie to thank for assisting us and making the whole process smooth and stress free! read more

This was my experience with Marjorie Lewis so take it with a grain of salt. I tried to rent a house from her. She was too busy to show it to me the first day so we set up a time later in the week. Then she canceled. Fine, people are busy. The next day I take off work early to make the only time she can meet me. She calls me 2 minutes(!!!) before our appointment and says she's renting it out to a friend. Classy. Maybe she's an awesome realtor but if she is this inconsiderate to a potential client then she must be too rich to really care. read more

My husband and I bought a home from Marjorie about 5 years ago. When looking for a home, our specific home requirements (in Redlands, a Craftsman style home, something with character, on a main historical street on the South end of town, walking distance to downtown, our list was obnoxious!!) we were lucky enough to find Marjorie. During the initial showing of our home one sunny Saturday, we fell in love, head over heals in love with our home. Minutes after seeing the house, we knew we had to make an offer. We began working with Marjorie on an offer immediately. She warned us that our sale wasn't going to be a cake walk, but we loved the home so much that we took on the "short-sale challenge". Marjorie stayed at her office late hours and came in on the weekend to help us navigate each step with professionalism, patience, and care. Our little home may be the sale she will always remember because of the fuss the seller's bank put up, but at the end of the day we got our home and were proud to work with such a caring agent. If you want a vintage home and a real estate agent who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about Redlands and the vintage home market, you need to talk to Marjorie. She is a very hard worker and will do her best to work around your availability for showings. We always recommend her to friends and family when searching our area for the perfect home. read more

Marjorie is reviewed below as a hard worker and workaholic, both are true, in a good way. Marjorie is personally involved and persistent in communication, this is critical in the real estate business. She approaches your sale or purchase as Her Business. This is her more than full time job. Redlands has many excellent realtors, but we would recommend Marjorie because of the work ethic, thoughtful comments and persistence. She helped us write offers on investment properties that due to Bank owners unrealistic expectations did not work, but she recommended stepping away from the deal even though it cost her the commission. Buying difficult properties, probate, shortsale, REO takes persistence and tenacity. We are not likely the easiest clients to help but she always does with a smile. We met Marjorie at an open house many years ago, when we had another excellent realtor, now retired. Being old house fans we loved several of her listings. When we held a 100th year re-dedication of our current house for Assistance League; Marjorie made sure to be there, even though we had never purchased a house through her. She knows old Redlands real estate very well and can give you the name of a great ______(fill in the blank) to help you know what it will really cost you to move into the house of fix the _____. I have met more than a few realtors that are just sales folks that do not know much about what they sell. Some hardly return calls or emails. Not so with Marjorie, most any time you will get an email or call back, even late at night. If you have an ideal you want to own part of Redlands History your very own old house, or you have one to sell, call Marjorie see if you do not find yourself writing a similar review. We are very happy to have recently closed on a probate property that required special handling from Marjorie, thanks for all your help. read more

We recently bought a home in the Redlands region in Southern California. We can honestly say that it would not have been possible without Ms. Marjorie. From home searches to closing, she was always generous with her time, patience (important for first time buyers like us) and expertise. We were often stumped by her thoroughness and diligence. She always gave us the complete picture (and all the information) so that we could make a well informed decision, never forcing us into a decision. If we were being irrational, she would keep us in check, give us insight into the market conditions and help us put in the right offers. It is very clear that real estate is not just a work/business for her - she works round the clock, never missing a beat. We couldn't ask for a better buyer's agent! We would highly recommend her to any first time home buyers in this region. read more

Professional, hardworking, honest, skilled. My wife and I casually shopped for a house for a couple of years. Marjorie was with us the whole way. She was patient, never pushed us to buy. Always gave us a unique perspective on the houses we looked at. Have her show you a house once and you will be blown away by the amount of wisdom she has in real estate, rentals, flipping, remodeling, Esc. My wife and I pulled the trigger a year ago and bought a house in Redlands. We love our home and we appreciate the price that Marjorie was able to negotiate it down to. I work as a Firefighter/ Paramedic and my wife works as a nurse. Being in fields that are known for good customer service we appreciate Marjorie for doing just that, providing excellent customer service. Thanks Marjorie! Btw she likes collecting hats... Her license plate makes a lot more sense after my wife explained that to me... Lol read more

My family and I just bought our first home in a very desirable area of Redlands and we couldn't have done it without the incredible, above and beyond service from Marjorie. We were first time home buyers and she held our hand through each step of the process. She is kind, professional and incredibly hard working. We would joke that she must never sleep because everything we handled so efficiently and smoothly. There is no other agent I would ever use or recommend higher than Marjorie Lewis, if you hire her you won't regret it and you will likely end up in the house of your dreams. read more

Marjorie is a great agent. She really knows the market and has many resources at her fingertips. Great attention to detail and managed to help us get through the sale of one house and the purchase of another even as the landscape was changing due to the CoVid19 situation. Marjorie was great, we needed a new home with more space for our growing family but we had very specific requests. She was able to find the perfect home in exactly the neighborhood we wanted. Marjorie seems to have her thumb on the pulse of the housing market in Redlands, and even more so when you are looking for an older home with lots of character. She works harder than anyone I know and is always available to talk or answer questions. We couldn't have been happier working with her and I know when it is time to sell my current house she will have it sold in no time. Hands down, the best realtor around. read more

Marjorie was great!! She helped us buy our first home, gave us advice and counsel on important details we wouldn't have thought to look at, continually negotiated for our interests and helped us find the perfect place. Amazing! read more

Marjorie made the ordeal of selling my home in San Bernardino much easier her pleasant, professional manner made selling an almost pleasure. Marjorie was online very early taking care of business I would recommend hiring Marjorie to anyone and would hire her again in a heart beat. We chose Marjorie as our agent to sell our home based on Zillow and Yelp ratings and she did not disappoint us! She provided us with an honest appraisal of our property's worth and was within $5,000 of getting us the price she told us she would be able to. During the COVID pandemic, our house sold within 2 weeks of being placed on the market and with only minor issues, sailed through escrow within 45 days, allowing us to move seamlessly into our new home. She was readily available for questions or concerns. We would recommend her without reservation! read more

After a couple very unfortunate experiences with other realtors (the lazy and/or treacherous ones) I had pretty much given up on having a realtor to help me buy a home. Mainly, I was doing the search myself, and not getting anywhere. (Trying to do all that while holding down a full time job was not so easy.) At some point, I decided to give Marjorie a call. I had met her briefly at an open house. I liked that she did not pull the car salesman routine (following me around and pestering me with chatter while I tried to look at the house) and seemed the sort of quiet, competent type who knows what she's doing and doesn't need to stand on a soapbox with a bullhorn and fireworks attached to her head. I was very much impressed. First and foremost, she was willing to meet for the first time on a Saturday. (She even suggested up front that she was willing to do so when I said I didn't know if I could get time off on a weekday. Hooray for adjusting to the worker bee's schedule!) I went in to meet with her for the first time at the office on a Saturday morning, when there was practically no one else there. She listened closely to what I was looking for (price, location, etc.) and we started looking up listings right then and there, and we were out looking at houses later that morning. Although the first morning's five houses didn't produce any that I was interested in, we kept looking at more. She signed me up for an email service that sends me listings every day. (It's a simple thing to do when you think about it, but my previous realtors hadn't done it. They each sent me one email with a few listings, and that was it.) When something came up that she thought I might be interested in, based on our conversations, she gave me a call. When we looked at a house together, Marjorie tried to strike a balance between her own opinion and neutrality. Although her specialty is vintage homes, she'll help you find whatever you're looking for: old, new, in-between. She wasn't pushy at all, which I very much appreciated. (Some realtors just talk up a house's strong points, and seem immune to any discussion of its flaws.) Sometimes her opinion came out, mainly if a house had serious problems - I found this helpful. She would try to note a house's potential too. For the most part, she lets her clients say yes or no to a house; she's very patient, and does not force her opinion on her clients. All in all, I found Marjorie to be a very nice lady, who totally knows what she's doing, is honest, and is willing to work hard for her clients. Those are all very important attributes in a realtor. I bought my first house with her, and when the time comes to sell it, I'll be giving her a call. read more

Marjorie has helped us buy our last two homes. Needles to say, we wanted to work with her a second time because she had been extremely helpful the first time. When she helped us buy the first time around, we were first time home buyers and really didn't know much about the market, process, paperwork, etc. She was patient, courteous but more importantly, she was extremely knowledgeable, so we got the house we wanted. It's important to mention that we had an awful mortgage company, and the seller's agent wasn't very motivated [the house was a flip and the seller's agent wasn't going to make full commission] but Marjorie kept calling them until the deal was done. The second time around she was just as knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. When you go out to see a house with Marjorie, you know you have an "ally". She really looks into the house with you: as she's been on this business for so long, she can see things you don't see and she will let you know. We appreciated her pointing out things in houses that would affect value now and in the long run [positively and negatively]. We hope not to move in a long time [we just did 5 months ago], BUT if we were, we'd call Marjorie again! read more

Marjorie recently sold our home. She is a professional and easy to work with. Her knowledge of the Redlands Market is second to none. I highly recommend her. read more

My husband and I had met with a few other agents, but we didn't feel like anyone was a good fit for various reasons: not experienced enough, too busy to give us enough attention/help, too pushy, or untrustworthy. Also, we didn't have very much time left to shop because we have a baby on the way and wanted to get settled into a new home before the baby arrives. We are so grateful we found Marjorie! She met all our needs and more. We love our home, and I really don't think we could have found it or bought it in such a short amount of time without her. :) Marjorie is a really good person and provides excellent service. She is a busy lady, but she is also a workaholic - she can always fit you into her schedule and promptly respond to any sort of questions you may have. I really liked that Marjorie was not pushy - she never rushed us, or pressured us to make an offer. She always gave us the pros & cons of a house when we asked for her opinion. Marjorie has a lot of experience is also very smart. I am sure we saved a lot of money because of her help. We are so glad we did not listen to the other reviewer Matt M., because we found her to be very dependable, honest & sweet. Even now, after the close of escrow on our home, Marjorie is still very responsive when we have random questions for her. I am a very picky person and I truly don't have enough good things to say about her!!! read more

In the last 18 months Marjorie Lewis has represented us as sellers and as buyers. She is hands down the most professional, dedicated, and hard working realtor you will find to represent you. We have worked with other realtors in the past that made us feel like we were a burden rather than a client. We definitely needed a new experience. When it was time to list our home, we decided to give Marjorie a call. We had seen her signs all over town, and figured anyone with as many listings as she had must be doing something right. We are so glad we made that call! From the first time we met, Marjorie made us feel like we were her top priority. Ofcourse, we knew she was juggling several (understatement) clients at the same time, but she never made us feel like just another customer. She answered our calls personally, and responded to our inquires very promptly. More importantly, she never encouraged us to make decisions that were counter to our own plans. I simply cannot say enough about Marjorie- she is the best of the best!!! She has vast knowledge of the business as well as the various resources avaliable to buyers and sellers alike. Her success as a top agent is a testament to just how hard she works. Do yourself a favor and trust Marjorie with any of your real estate needs. You will be very impressed!!!!! Marjorie Lewis is the most competent real estate agent in Redlands. The Hat Lady is experienced and knows how to close a deal. Her knowledge of vintage homes is unquestionable. I can't say enough about her expertise. read more

Having worked with other agents in the past, I can say without a doubt that Marjorie Lewis is the best real estate agent in Redlands. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area, vintage homes, and the market in general. Going through the experience of buying my first home, she took her time to explain each and every step and always looked out for my best interest. She was also very punctual and quick to respond. Now that I am settled in my new home, she continues to help me with all of my property needs. And to top it off, her hats made the home buying experience fun! Marjorie helped me buy my first home this past January and it was a very positive experience working with her. I am new to Redlands and she provided us with many references and possessed expertise with the market. She championed our position as the buyer and was proactive in the negotiating process. I appreciated her straight forward frankness and guidance during a slightly frustrating process with the sellers. We are very happy in our new home and feel fortunate that she showed us this listing. read more

Recently we had the daunting task of cleaning up and selling my Mom's house after she passed away. We had seen Marjorie's signs everywhere and spoken to her at open houses so we gave her a call. We couldn't have picked a more professional, kind, patient, and compassionate person to not only get us the best deal, but dealing with all the emotions involved in dealing with parting with the house and all the memories it has (and believe me there was some emotion at times). Marjorie was also very helpful in giving us names and numbers of people who could help us with an estate sale, and some repairs. We can honestly say that when it comes time to sell our home, we will not hesitate to call Marjorie--she is truly the best! read more

Marjorie Lewis made our dreams come true! We first met at one of her many open houses and we instantly knew she was the realtor we wanted to represent us. Her personality is vibrant, fun, caring and focused. Marjorie knew exactly what we wanted; a 1920s cute bungalow near downtown Redlands (on the South Side). She never wasted our time showing us anything we didn't want, even after long periods of waiting for our dream house. She encouraged us to wait until we found something we loved. It seemed like all odds were against us. The market was competitive, lots of buyers, tight budget, difficult inventory and the list goes on and on. Marjorie was there to help us and battle for us along every second of the way. She found us our dream home and got us in!! She listened to us and got us just what we always dreamed of. I cannot think of anyone who has been in the industry this long around Redlands. She knows everyone and every home. That kind of expertise is not easy to find. With Marjorie Lewis, you will only get the best. Marjorie has become a friend now and we just adore her. You cannot go wrong with Marjorie Lewis!! read more

Marjorie is the BEST. After multiple recommendations from friends that had worked with her, we decided to talk with her about selling our house. We knew right away that we wanted to work with her. Never once did we feel any pressure to do anything we didn't want to do, but she gave us honest, real advice - no nonsense. We always felt heard and respected. Marjorie is kind and empathetic in a very genuine way, but without the fluff that can feel over-the-top in a sales situation. She communicates with you every step of the way and is on top of every detail - she is so busy, I have no idea how she does it. We always felt like she was in working hard for us and we always felt like she had our back during any negotiations. Within days of signing the contract, Marjorie had marketing material out and an open house scheduled immediately - our house was on the market for less than a week and we had multiple offers at or above asking (most definitely because Marjorie helped us make sure it was priced right and created amazing marketing materials). Marjorie made the whole process so easy and was a joy to work with. We would hire her again IN A HEARTBEAT and already recommend her to anyone we know that is looking to buy or sell! read more

We just recently purchased a home with help from Marjorie. My husband and I had been through the escrow process before with a different agent and we were scared to go through it again since it was a horrible experience. We told Marjorie all our concerns and she worked with us step by step. She always answered our questions and pretty much held our hand until we closed. I would have still considered myself as a first time buyer and Marjorie never made us feel bad for being so nervous. We both loved her work.
