It takes place in a private residence in the Malibu so you're not given the address until a few days before your scheduled appointment. Kirscha and Luca were very nice and welcoming; they led us to the area where they conducted the soundbath and it was spacious, clean, and I felt very comfortable. Rather than give everything away about the experience, I will say this: it was truly relaxing! I wasn't sure what to expect; there were areas where they didn't physically touch me, but I felt tenderness in the area the next day (the vibrations from the soundbath affect tense areas in the body). After it was over, I felt very mellow and at ease. In terms of price, I would say this one is on the higher end, but your experience is worth it as you look at the view- the expanse of the ocean, the crisp fresh ocean breeze, I really had a lovely time.

The class itself was amazing, and the setting on such a beautiful day made it even better. The lighting inside was warm and inviting, and I loved the cute, earthy decor in the office it added such a calming vibe. She really made everyone in the class feel welcomed and like a community. Parking is also great. I had an early class that morning, so there was lots of open parking spots in the Malibu country Mart. Down from The Bay visiting the bestie and Valley Salt Cave was on our "Try Something New"…read moreitinerary. Took the drive from the thorn, and we are glad we did. I had secured the private cave prior to our arrival which was smarty, just like me. This is the type of care I would consider doing on a regular, because it was just that relaxing. Between Warren who was my first point of contact when securing the cave, to in person hello from Keri upon our arrival. I was pretty satisfied. I'll give this place 4 thumbs up and breathe in breathe out!!

Ritual is located in a strip mall close to Trader Joe in Thousand Oaks. The studio offers a wide range of classes and a tasteful array of retail. The studio is bright and clean, and offers a relaxing calming studio. Outside of the studio there are plenty of places to store your belongings. My experience at the studio was great- despite the fact that I barely got to practice. I appreciated the yoga instructor and his patience during this experience- it was fun to have puppies in the class. The instructions throughout this experience was relaxing and informative. I look forward to trying a more typical class despite loving the distractions from puppies. Parking is ample at this strip mall. The shopping is busy so be careful in the lot and be prepared to walk a little bit.

Here I am rolling into class like, "Heh, only 6 credits ," thinking I'm a financial genius, while behind the scenes the studio and the blonde assassin owner are basically getting paid in exposure, incense and dryer lint. I wasn't hacking the system--I was the system. Those credits were straight-up Chuck E. Cheese tokens: "Congrats, you survived heated sculpt, here's 10 tickets and a rubber spider. Also, the studio made 37 cents." Now that I know what's actually going on, I'm fully on Team Blonde Assassin. If anyone's going to roast my form, vaporize my quads, and trigger an emotional breakthrough in savasana, they deserves real money, not a handful of digital coupons. So yeah, RIP to my "free" workouts. I'll be over here swiping my card, supporting the studio, and pretending I totally knew how ClassPass worked this whole time. ‍

Will just start by saying I've been a CPY-er for 8 years in 3 different cities and have loved it…read more But I wanna mention something that seems to have become a real issue in the last 6 months. The heat and, more so, the humidity are out of control in SO many classes these days (at several studios, not just WL). Even though there is a clear chart posted in each studio with the temps and percentages that each class level is to be set at, it seems like each instructor just does whatever they want, unfortunately. I'm ALL for the hot yoga, that's why I go to CPY, but please keep it at the standards that we pay for. Don't set the class to 105 degrees if it's supposed to be at 98 max in a C2, please. I was in a C2 yesterday and saw the tstat said 108. That's insane. I'm paying 200 bucks a month and I want to not be distracted from my workout and my zen by the fact that either I can't breathe or am feeling like I'm dying from how hot and humid you've made it in the room. Please don't crank it up just because one person asked you to, or because you want to. I want to leave feeling like I kicked ass in the correct amount of heat, not was tortured by it and had to leave early to escape it.
