The inside is actually so charming with a lot of historic cabinets and stain glass details that I was not expecting at all. It's right off Falls Rd so very centrally located. You go to the deli counter, place your order, and then pay at the cash register up front. The menu is huge and overwhelming for a first timer. I got the Italian cold cut with everything on it on the gluten free roll. My boyfriend got the Black Russian on rye which came with roast beef, swiss, and coleslaw. We also got a small side of the broccoli salad. I loved the sandwich. It was stacked with yummy meat and flavorful sauce. I wish I would've added banana peppers for an extra kick though. It's been forever since I've had an Italian cold cut because so many places don't offer GF bread and if they do, it's usually sad white bread that falls apart the minute you touch it. The GF roll was pretty solid and stayed in tact. Next time, I'll probably get a hot sub since the flavor and texture of the roll would be better if it was toasted. The broccoli salad was delicious too with bits of bacon and a sweet sauce. I'd definitely return here in the future!

I purchased a fig balsamic (for me - I love ANYTHING fig), some stuffed grape leaves (for me!) and some olive oil as gifts. The grape leaves were addictive. I finished the entire container in two days. The service was fantastic. I was greeted upon entering, and after explaining it was my first time in the store, the lady showed me around and told me about the history of Dimitri's and helped me decide on what to purchase. She let me sample some of the balsamic. They have a full olive bar and fresh breads, baked in coordination with a local bakery. Will definitely start buying my olive oil here. What was once a welcoming, well-run club now feels like an organization that has completely abandoned the basic standards and values it was built on. The level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. Staff members appear poorly trained, disorganized, and often completely clueless when it comes to handling even simple issues. The kitchen area is frequently dirty and poorly maintained, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and management. The overall atmosphere has deteriorated dramatically, and the incompetence on display is honestly shocking. Most importantly, the club is no longer worth the money members are paying. Whatever management changes were made behind the scenes have clearly had a negative impact on the member experience. Long-time members who remember how this club used to operate will immediately notice the decline. This season has been a major disappointment, and unless significant improvements are made, I have little doubt that these decisions will continue driving away loyal members.
