So delicious I licked the cover!

Fresh Monday's made my Friday morning! I never ate an ACACIA Bowl before- I figured - it's FRIDAY I'm playing hooky from work- I can indulge in breakfast since I'm on strike from the morning routine- I should try something new and different! Total yum yum. It had fresh bananas & strawberries with coconut and a honey drizzle- it was so DELICIOUS I licked the cover!

Fresh. Tasted. Healthy. I really enjoyed the juice (green machine) I believe other juice must be great too. Can not wait to come back!

Left to right: PB&J (definitely some rotten fruit, see post), Tropical

I was really looking forward to getting smoothies because of all the good reviews. We got the Tropical and the PB&J smoothies. The Tropical was a little bland and tasted like they were using fruit that was out of season, which is strange because it is the beginning of summer and the smoothie base it mango. When I tried my PB&J smoothie something tasted really quite off about it--to me it had the aftertaste of vomit which was rather unpleasant. I had my friend taste it and he agreed saying that it tasted like the fruit or something else they used was rotten. It had bananas, strawberries, and Greek yogurt in it. I was worried that the yogurt was spoiled so I decided not to finish it rather than risk getting sick. I did want to give them the benefit of the doubt though so I tried again and ordered something without the Greek yogurt. I got the Cafecito instead, which had banana, cocoa, coffee and agave in it. This one tasted much better but it was overwhelmingly sweet which almost masked a subtle sour aftertaste. Now I think the culprit was rotten bananas since that was the only ingredient common between the two. I'm hoping this is just a mistake that won't happen again next time, because I was hoping to try their açaí bowls sometime. I guess we'll see how my stomach feels tonight and hope for the best. :/

You can grab a hot breakfast and brunch, empanadas, pies, donuts, coffee, vegan items, dips, fresh bread, flowers, tea, dairy meat and, of course, locally grown fruits and vegetables. I went to the market for some fresh baked bread and bagels. While I was there, I was persuaded to purchase a vegan sandwich and some organic vegetables. I had to stop myself because there were quite a bit of other things that caught my eye too. The market is set up right below the highway and was very easy to get to. There is a public parking lot right next to it as well as lots of street parking. I found the Instagram page for the market and the website to be very helpful and informative with information like times, vendors and explanations on how to arrive. All of this adds up for a uniquely Baltimore experience with something for everyone.

It's located right in the city of Baltimore under the highway bridge on E Saratoga St. Street parking is free and i guess there is a way to reserve parking in line now. Mercy hospital has also offered free parking in an adjacent lot. The market is open on Sundays for the season and is such a delight. The vendors are very busy but eager to assist. The prices are fair. Need a coffee fix? The local Zeke's coffee is on site to assist! Many fresh foods, plants, and seafood to choose from. Definitely worth a visit!

Their new location is BIGGER and BETTER than ever! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Wondering if they'll be getting more of that yummy snack or seasoning you picked up there last week? Ask them! They're always happy to get things back in stock if you want them to (supply chain permitting, of course). If they don't have it or can't get it, they'll help you figure out where you should be able to get it. I watched one of the owners spend 10-15 min with a customer trying to find a couple of specific ingredients for a dish they were planning on making that night. The owner called another local store to ask if they had those items in stock and then gave the customer full directions to drive there from Culinary Architecture. Besides their excellent selection of packaged goods and produce, the food and drinks they make in-house are also exceptionally good! Sweet treats? Meat (and No-Meat) pies? Bread? Caffeine fix? They have it all, with a solid selection of staple recipes and a rotating menu of new/seasonal items! With the natural light, warm smells, and big community table with different chair choices right up front, you'll feel right at home here. Convenient parking and outdoor seating available, too! Come check 'em out in Little Italy! (BONUS: A lil lady named Pokey... You'll know her when you meet her. )

Upon coming into Di Pasquale's I wasn't sure what to expect and my expectations were not high, but oh my gosh were they blown away. Quite literally everything I had was without note. I had the muffuletta, caponata and some Pignoli cookies and I truly cannot speak highly enough about each item. The sandwich was wonderful and well balanced, the Caponata was genuinely some of the best Caponata I've had in my entire life. As someone who makes Caponata on an almost weekly basis I was absolutely blown away at this one and would genuinely rank it top five I've ever had. The Pignoli cookies were good as well they were a bit harder than I like, but no real complaints. There's not much to speak to in terms of service here as it's an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place but staff was friendly and then ambiance is again nothing too crazy but definitely a great lunch spot and so many fun items to purchase. Next time I'm in Baltimore, I will without a doubt be coming back here and would genuinely put this on a must hit list for anyone visiting the city.
