I am used to enjoying Thai massages--here in the US and in Thailand. When I lived in Los Angeles, I…read morewould typically treat myself to one at least once a month. You can imagine how over the moon I was to find this place in lil' Rhody. Thai massages are dry massages and involve a lot of gentle stretching and some acupressure. I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork. It's worth being familiar with Thai massage, and this place does a good job.

Upon arrival, you enter a modest building and head downstairs into a dimly lit environment. You're guided down a narrow hallway to another room, equally dim, with soft lighting and comfortable massage tables. It's the kind of place where you know the focus is purely on relaxation. The two women who greeted us were warm but spoke limited English, which led to a bit of communication hiccups. But no worries -- Google Translate came to the rescue, bridging the gap with ease. They were friendly and attentive, asking us whether we preferred a "hard or medium massage." We both opted for "firm," and in hindsight, that choice was great for our feet. The foot massage itself was nothing short of therapeutic. They worked the pressure points with precision, sometimes pushing so deeply it verged on painful -- but in the best way possible. It's the kind of intensity that makes you feel every knot and tension melt away. While it wasn't always the most comfortable, it was certainly effective, leaving my feet feeling lighter, rejuvenated, and surprisingly energized by the end. We plan to return for body massages.

She was able to replicate each routine to each of the opposite body region/muscle which I truly appreciate and recognize. One note I'd leave for Emmy is that I wish she would ask to stretch or massage in wider ranges. I felt like she was restricting my flexibility range when I could definitely do a lot more or can stretch a wider range, which would have felt a lot better for me. I did speak upon that after the massage. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back to her again!! This was my second time attending this business and once again, I had an amazing experience. To friendly, patient staff, and cleanliness of business. It was overall fantastic. However, I did leave a four out of five star review under service because I was very chilly/cold in my room during my massage session.
