We've been ordering from here for years and they have a great sauce! When we get pizza with multiple toppings we usually get it well done so it still comes out crispy. They nail it nearly every time. The chicken & eggplant parmigiana are fantastic as well as the meatballs. The cheese sticks leave a little to be desired as they aren't usually hot and melty and the breading would be better if it were more Italian. Customer service is usually friendly and professional. The owner is a very standup guy. He fed children in the immediate area for 6 wks when we were on lockdown at NO CHARGE. I don't know him personally, but I gained a lot of respect for him after that. Antipasto salad for one. I know times are tough but I only got 3/4 of a slice of salami and 3/4 of a slice of cheese. In the past I've at least gotten a whole slice of each. Also got some wilted lettuce which you can see in the photograph. This was a to go order so I feel like I was taken advantage of. Michelangelo's understood the assignment! Honestly the meatball pizza is out of this world. The chicken cutlet parm sub/hero and the meatball sub/hero are freaking bomb. And let me tell you that cannoli is made fresh daily! With all of that being said, the Margherita pizza is absolutely the best on the menu. Decided to give this place another try. Just got a large, hand tossed pepperoni pizza. I ordered online and arrived to pick it up about 5 minutes early. I paid and the cashier said it would be a few minutes...no problem. The older guy making the pizzas pulled out an already-cooked cheese pizza, put pepperoni on it, and put it back in the oven. A couple minutes later he pulled that same pizza out, sliced it, and gave it to me. So the pizza crust was burnt and the pepperoni was floppy instead of crispy since it wasn't cooked on the pizza. I understand pepperoni doesn't HAVE to be cooked, but undercooked pepperoni and overcooked crust is not delicious. read more

It has the right blend of garlic salt, sugar, & dough. They have great lunch specials that get your appetite satisfied without draining your wallet. One of these specials is a meatball slider plate that boasts 2 sliders on garlic knot rolls with french fries. I was teetering between 3-4 stars. If I was just reviewing the pizza it would have been 3 stars. My companion ordered the New Yorker which had green peppers, onions, , mushroom, pepperoni, sausage and double cheese. There was tomato sauce on it but it was used sparingly. The pizza was just so so. It was actually bland. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and chicken wings to go. The Chicken Marsala was good and the wings weren't bad either. This place touts their "New York" pizza. I'm from New York and was very disappointed. They are very friendly when you walk in and make you feel welcomed. One of the things I like about this restaurant is how the food is delivered to the table as soon as it is ready. Clearly they take pride in serving hot food hot! You can order pizza by the slice with all sorts of interesting toppings. For the Gluten Free folks - there are salads that are available and you can add grilled chicken to any salad for only a few dollars more. There are a handful of 4 tops and a similar number of booths that are more comfortable for two than four adults. Service - very good. Our server (David) was polite and attentive. Our food was served hot and within a very reasonable timeframe. Food - average to slightly above average. we dined with another couple who consider the restaurant to be their favorite informal Italian restaurant. The menu offered a wide variety of pizza and traditional southern Italian entrees. We ordered two large pizzas. One was sausage, green peppers and onion. The other had pepperoni and ham. Both were piping hot. They are thin crust, NY style pizza (my favorite type of pizza). The pepperoni pizza was much better than the sausage pizza, which needed more sauce to suit my taste. Definitely the best pizza in Manatee County . It won't get any better I can assure you. They have 2 locations, one in Lakewood Ranch and one in Parrish. Both locations are excellent. This simply does not compare to any of the chain pizzerias. Their menu items besides pizza are also very good. The wait staff is always friendly and the guys behind the counter are nice as well. They are always tinkering and coming up with new kinds of pizza and I have yet to have one that I dislike. Don't waste your time going to any other pizza joint, you'll just end up disappointed. We tried pizza and calamari being delivered. The food was warm at best but definitely not hot. The calamari we fed to the dog. It was flavorless. The only redeeming factor was the marinara sauce. The pizza was a fantastic value as the weight of the box alone was a testimony for all the ingredients. The problem is that it had so much garlic on it the only taste it had was the garlic burning into your taste buds.
