My wallet isn't always thrilled, haha, but I give myself a time limit because I could spend forever looking around. The store was quiet, which I appreciated. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and only saw staff at checkout desk when I passed, but I didn't need help since I was just browsing. Some items can be a bit pricey, so I do compare prices elsewhere when I can. That said, the store is always beautifully decorated and really pleasant to walk through. Yes, I'll be back!

4 stars!…read more Gullywubbles reminds me a lot of Spencer Gifts except classier. It has all manner of gag gifts, collectibles, and funny accessories of every sort...in addition to some vintage stuff. For example, one of the areas in back has vintage games. Fun stuff. I had a fun talking with the owner. She's friendly and full of energy. I'd say, this entire store is a funny and infectious expression of her personality. She must be pretty tough too because she was somehow able to keep her store alive through the whole pandemic thing. The shop has a ton of oddball items. Want a candle that smells like bacon or gasoline? Gullywubbles has it! You get the idea. My favorite thing was I got to sing with Taylor Swift on the back stage! We sang, "Shake it Up". I think Taylor was impressed with my singing skills. Thumbs up! -Maxx

Today I…read morepicked up a large online purchase and decided to purchase a Christmas cententepiece in the store. It appeared to be a customer return as everything was removed from the box and was repackaged. I noticef one of the bells was damaged. I asked politely for an additional discount. They said no and said "Do you want it or not!?" Interestly, just yesterday they were giving customers an additional 15% off Christmas. Hmm....how hard would it have been to make a loyal customer happy by simply offering a discount? Sorry Woodbury location, I will never set foot in your store again.

However---They had a display that was clearly marked 25% off (pretty much the entire store was on sale!) We spend over 100 there that day and I was attempting to purchase an item from the display that was under 10.00 and the checkout gal argued with me about it not being part of the sale. This pissed me off---it seriously was on the display and by the sign..It would have made a bigger impression on me to just shave off the 1.50 discount but she decided to be a bitch so I let them keep that item and will wait till it is on the 50 or 70 % off but get it from another location. I have been to other locations where they bend over backwards with friendliness this one is not one of them.

I've been going to this hobby store since the 1980s when I was just a kid, going there with my late father. It was one of those places that helped build a lifelong love for RC cars and the hobby itself. Now, decades later, I genuinely enjoy taking my own children there and sharing that same experience with them. It's something really special to me and my family. That's why this situation has been so hard. I dropped off an RC truck for repair and expected it might take some time. What I didn't expect was how long it actually took -- months and months passed while I waited. Eventually, when I called to check on it, I was told the truck had already been surrendered after 90 days. That news was absolutely heartbreaking. This wasn't just a piece of equipment to me. It was something I had invested a lot into and something tied to years of enjoyment in this hobby. I understand that businesses have policies, and I don't doubt they have rules in place, but learning about it only after the fact made the loss feel even worse. What makes this especially difficult is that I truly love this store. It's been part of my life story from childhood to now as a parent. I honestly can't imagine not going there anymore, and that's what makes this situation so emotionally complicated for me. I'm not posting this to attack anyone. I'm just really torn and hurt by how this played out, and I wish there had been more communication before it reached that point.
