Crafts are very relaxing and there is always something new to learn. This is the store to find all my items and to find some new ideas for more crafts. They have online instructions and classes available in the store. The staff is very helpful and they have amazing sales! I recently went to the Micheal's store in Waldorf for curbside pick up. The first time it went smoothly and the employee came out and gave me my items in a very quick timely fashion compared to curbside at other places. The second time one of my items wasn't in the bag and the employee told me that the app wasn't showing that I had purchased it. I showed her on my phone and wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be charged for it. She told me she didn't think that I would. I wanted to make sure . She tried to help me as best that she could but then told me that she had to go back inside because she was the cashier. She told me that she had spoken to the manager and that he was going to come out and talk to me. The manager came out as soon as she went back in. I think he may have been handling the register while she brought my items to me. He came out and reassured me that I would not be charged and showed me the receipt they gave me that only had 2 of the items on it and told me that's what I received and that's what I would be charged for. They must be understaffed but both employees were patient and tried to assist me without seeming annoyed or agitated. They were both very pleasant and gave me quick and satisfying service. read more

I'm a crafter and I'm here a lot. This is not my first pick to go to for any crafting needs. The customer service on the floor is terrible. You can barely find any one to help. And when you do they act like they are too busy to even assist you. Yesterday I came looking for cellophane treat bags. The sales associate "showed me where they should be" and they were "all out if none is here". Those are her words. Eh... I didn't trust her lol because she barely knew where they were and what they were. I walked the entire store. Only because I had time! Ok and on aisle 42 what did I find? Bingo! I visited the this store on Sunday 11/27/22. First of all I couldn't find the items I was looking for. But that wasn't the problem I had with the store. I had to go to the restroom. That restroom was beyond disgusting. It was the most filthiest that I have ever been in. This store should be ashamed that their bathroom would look and smell so bad. The toilet had someone's feces all over it. And there was a sanitary napkin on the floor. It was absolutely disgusting. I don't think no one has clean that bathroom in months the way that it smelled Absolutely disgusting. The manager needs to be fired for allowing your customers to use such a filthy bathroom. We come in your store and spend our hard earned money. We should be able to use the restroom and not feel sick and disgusting when you enter or leave out. read more

I visited the Waldorf Michaels Store on both June 14 & 15, 2020, and received horrible customer services on both days. On both occasions the managers Shania and Curtis were rude and impatient towards myself and the new cashier. I feel it's very unprofessional and poor customer service like to be treated this way. I would recommend they take a customer service class on how to treat customers better. read more

If you have a coupon on your phone that says INSTORE and online do not let them tell you it will not work in the store. The clerk insisted they don't take coupons anymore but I asked that they try and after scanning it from my phone it went thru (shocker). In this day and age you should want to help your customers save while making business for the store not fighting with them about it. read more

Worst customer service ever! I've been a Michael's customer forever - always take my creating (cross stitch) pieces there to be framed. No more. Horribly overpriced - estimate for 10x10 piece WITH 85% off sale, was still over $150. Are you kidding me?! When I asked top see other options, they liked at me like I was crazy, refused to let me use my Michael's Rewards at all. Refused to help me consider anything else "because I have other customers waiting, ma'am." Wait - aren't I a customer, too. Don't I deserve your attention and assistance, just like the people waiting? Or is it because I actually asked foot something more reasonably priced that you were unsettling to help me find it? I give up on ever expecting a good experience at this location. I placed two orders online this morning at 11:50am for in-store pickup. I arrive at the store at 7:20pm and press the kiosk button as instructed for someone to be notified. Ten minutes go by and no one shows up. I proceeded to walk through the store and walk upon two Michael's employee's standing in an aisle talking. I interrupted and asked what's the process for online orders because I've been waiting ten minutes to be assisted with mine. Both employees quickly glance at one another and then one said she would help me right away with it. As we go get my items, the employee is trying to give me info but her "tone" is the only thing I heard and immediately I became pissed off. I don't get how an employee will easily catch an attitude with a paying customer for wanting them to do what they get paid to do. Customer service must not be a qualification in retail anymore. Great sales and discounts on my craft supplies and I even get some home decor and frames here. The register lines can be very slow that's why I deducted a star. Other than that it's a very clean and stocked store. read more

Really liked being greeted coming in the door but this store needs to do something about their registers. There is a post that says something along the lines of, "stand here for the next register". I stood there for a long time and had several customers jump right to a register to get waited on first so I said forget it and moved up. Then all of a sudden a cashier said for everyone to move back to the post and I said I wasn't because I had been standing for a long time with other customers cutting in front of me. Very rude female cashier. Don't talk to a teacher about where to stand in line at and tell her to go to the end of the line when you saw me standing there waiting longer than anyone else. The male cashier was friendly and nice but the young female with a Waldorf attitude was extremely rude. read more

This store is such a joke. Things are priced incorrectly. I asked to verify that an item was on clearance because I know that sometimes customers put things down in the wrong area. All that came up when it was scanned was that it was discontinued and the original price. I told her the sale price. She flagged down an employee to check, while he was 60 feet away and only new it was on the scrap booking three shelves and roughly the size of the item. I offered to show him exactly where it was located so that I did not hold up the line while he tried to find a product with basically no information about what he's looking for. We stood there and compared the description of the item on the price tag to verify it was the correct item. I was rung up incorrectly and had to drive back to the location and when I offered to show the manager the last one that was still on the shelf so she could mark it down or change the barcode....and she completely ignored me and just took the next person in line. So whoever buys the last one will get charged full price, and most customers (like myself) don't sit there and watch every item rung up. The manager's flagrant disregard for fixing the problem of over charging and the absolute obnoxious amount of attitude she gave me makes me never ever willing to go to that store again. I will go to ACMoore or another craft store next time I need items and if I ABSOLUTELY have to go to a Michaels store I will be driving the extra miles to the next closest location because the employees, top to bottom, are absolutely clueless. And not being willing to correct an item sitting on a shelf that someone will pick up to purchase, because there was more, is called bait and switch and should result in an employee being reprimanded. All it needed was a correct barcode with the actual price and put in the clearance section or just take off the tag on the shelf saying it's discounted. It's called honesty. read more

Michael's in Waldorf, MD is in a great location. The staff is friendly, and I am usually able to find all the craft items and anything else I need. Some of you may not know this, but they do birthday parties and they do them VERY WELL! They are held in a classroom that can fit up to 12 children and a parent (per child) comfortably. An associate comes in to facilitate and keep the children occupied with crafts. I had my daughter's 6th birthday party there today and it was so wonderful! All the children and moms absolutely loved it! It was sooooo cute and fun! Also, you get your money's worth! The children completed and took home three crafts. I would highly recommend using Michael's for craft parties. I would also recommend this location. Amber, the manager is knowledgeable and answers all your questions promptly. Aryana is the party facilitator! She was excited, patient, and so very helpful! We had a great time!!! read more
