Don't underestimate the unassuming exterior. This place serves spectacular food. Loved the menu. They serve comfort food like roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The latter, in my opinion, is a rare find on menus and a real treat. All in all, a very well rounded menu. See pics. I had the lobster roll that was fantastic. It was a very generous size, no fillers, just pure lobster in a great citrus mayo served on a terrific bun with fresh cut fries and the very best coleslaw I've ever been served in one of those little paper containers. I found the price extremely reasonable at 18.99. My mother had the fish and chips with sweet potato fries and my husband had the turkey cranberry sandwich. Everything was so delicious. Service was A-1!

Although the servers lack enthusiasm, the lively establishment and fresh menu never disappoints.

This is an excellent family restaurant. My salad had real bacon bits, crispy chicken with moist white meat.

TLDR: Fieldhouse Bakery came highly recommended as the place in Perth for lunch. It did not…read moredisappoint. Sandwiches were tasty, albeit a bit pricey. The cruffin was decadently delicious. One of my colleagues is from Perth and when I told her my husband and I were doing a day trip to Perth as part of our staycation, she recommended we have lunch at Fieldhouse. I love bakeries, so we followed her recommendation. The place is a lot smaller than I expected. It only has seating for 8 inside (4 tables of 2) and 4 picnic tables outside (so seating for about 16 outside). I got the Chicken and Brie sandwich ($14.75) and added a side salad for my husband and I to share ($5). My husband got the Ham and Swiss sandwich ($14.25) and we also got a cruffin ($5.25) for dessert, but ended up taking it home. Before we left my husband got an Americano to go ($3). I enjoyed my sandwich. The bread was crusty and held the ingredients of the sandwich well. The peppery arugula in the sandwich went well with the chicken and Brie. I was thrilled that the chicken was real roasted chicken breast meat (and not deli meat, lol). The aioli was flavourful but a bit excessive in quantity for my tastes. It dripped onto the plate with every bite, lol. The salad was leaf lettuce, shredded cabbage and carrots. Vegetables were fresh. I asked for the dressing on the side and it came as requested. The dressing was a creamy dressing and on the runny side. I'm glad I asked for it on the side, as I used only about a third of it. I had a bite of my husband's sandwich and it was ok, but I much preferred mine. He liked his better, so it all worked out. His was on a fluffier and softer bread. The ham was deli ham, but it tasted ok. The Swiss cheese was nippy. Service was pleasant. My husband enjoyed his Americano. We had the Brownie Cruffin at home. The pastry was flakey and delicious. The chocolate filling was like a rich chocolate pudding. It was very decadent. Overall we enjoyed our meal, but I found it a bit pricey, but I guess in today's economy, this is what you pay for sandwiches. Street parking only. (125)

Room to sit and eat there if you like. Their "Valley" muffin was a real winner but quite enjoyed their Ham & Cheese and Chocolate Almond croissants too - flaky, buttery goodness.

The Monday special for today (Monday) is the build your own bowl of the day. You choose the ingredients - all different, or double up on the ones you love best. Can't go wrong with this! And the Ranch dressing was awesome! Very garlic and dill! The server was patient with us, which we appreciated, and helped ease things along by making suggestions. The setting is a bit like a subway sandwich bar, where you order at the counter and wait for your order. This gives it a fast food chain feeling. It had some low chairs at tables, and some high cafe chairs against the counter along the wall and windows. We were alone when we started, but it got quite busy!! I wish some soups had been on display (although I was happy with what I got), and that the seating had been a tad more comfortable. We never did find out what the wifi password is; something to add for next time. Can't wait to go back!!

It might have been just the Buddha's Bowl itself because my husband's Oaxaca Bowl portions were much more generous than mine. I asked the older lady/staff member who put my bowl together, and she told me that's how much their scoop is, which is too small. The entire contents of the bowl did not fill up even half of the bowl. Other than that, friendly cashier.

My belly full, the price comparable, plenty of interesting menu items. I had found a new favourite spot. Let's fast forward our adventure to 3:00 am. There is the sudden awakening as there is roar within the depths of my soul. The basement is a far, far away place to call home for your bedroom when the only two facilities with running water are up a flight of stairs. You make it up the stairway to heaven to slam the pearly gates behind you, causing the three resting hounds to alarm the whole home to the exorcism happening. The God's looked favourably upon you as you grabbed the newly cleaned trash bucket across from you, as the toilet was definitely busy at the moment. There's sweat, there's tears. There is praying to the universe and all forces to halt the happenings. It's far too late. God can't hear you now. Not through that metaboost wrap that has cleansed your soul at this point. (Repeat x times) The customer service really was awesome, and I did really enjoy the taste of my wrap. But please, for the love of all things holy - get a handle on that metaboost cleanse you have going on.

We ordered take out and asked for dressing on the side for our salads. When my husband picked it up he noticed the dressings were no in the bag. They put the dressing in the bag at half amount only for one salad. I had to return my salad as it had no dressing. I asked for a refund as they did not even offer me the salad for free for my inconvenience. I am in the service industry and know this is not the way to keep loyal customers. Their portion size is also smaller..
