We had come here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, as we were heading to Ottawa, and wanted to check-out Perth on the way. When we walked into this restaurant, we were surprised to see how nicely decorated it was. The decor was chic, as well as being inviting and warm. The restaurant itself was more on the small side however, it was a good fit for the number of customers at the time. Since it was a nice day outside, we decided to eat on the patio. The patio faced the street, and was nicely enclosed with flower pots decorating the edges. Once we had settled down and chose our items, we waited about 15-20 minutes, which we found to be a bit too long. As we were about to ask the waitress where our meals were, we were brought our items. I had settled on the chicken focaccia sandwich with sweet potato fries; the chicken in my sandwich was dry, with only a small amount of garlic spread inside of the bun. I did enjoy the sweet potato fries though, as did my daughter, whom took nibbles of the fries from my plate. My daughter had gotten the pasta with red sauce, which looked like chunks of tomatoes mashed up, and spread on the top of the dish. The taste was also inadequate, as my daughter hardly ate it. My mother settled on the fish tacos, which were heavily battered. My son chose the hamburger, which he enjoyed, especially with the fries on the side. We weren't too keen on the food, as many of the food items were subpar, and the prices were high. Luckily, the children ate free, as the restaurant had a deal that all children ate free on Sunday. We found that to be a plus however, the price was still high despite the removal of two children's meals. Overall, this restaurant had a nice ambiance however, the food wasn't worth the price, and we didn't find the service to be accommodating. Despite asking about recommendations for the area, the waitress told us that she wasn't aware of what was available, and to just walk up and down the main road. We were hoping for more of a recommendation however, we didn't receive it. We definitely wouldn't return to this restaurant in the future if we were in the area again . read more

Our group of 8 was participating in the Kilt Run event and booked a table weeks before the event. We got a call the day before to demand that everyone had to be there on time or we would lose the table. After the race started, two of the group who were not running went to the restaurant to confirm that we were all still coming but some would be a few minutes late as they could not finish the race in time and the manager was not happy with that. I got a call during my race from one of our group to say don't waste time getting changed after the race as they were not letting any of our party be let in and seated until most of our party was there. So we all arrived sweaty and uncomfortable to sit down to dinner. I called the owner/manager over to complain about the way we were treated and she said that in past years (before covid) at race events, there had been lineups waiting to get in. Don't underestimate the unassuming exterior. This place serves spectacular food. Loved the menu. They serve comfort food like roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The latter, in my opinion, is a rare find on menus and a real treat. All in all, a very well rounded menu. See pics. I had the lobster roll that was fantastic. It was a very generous size, no fillers, just pure lobster in a great citrus mayo served on a terrific bun with fresh cut fries and the very best coleslaw I've ever been served in one of those little paper containers. I found the price extremely reasonable at 18.99. My mother had the fish and chips with sweet potato fries and my husband had the turkey cranberry sandwich. Everything was so delicious. Disappointing lunch. Thai salad with chicken. Chicken was way over cooked. Salad was overly dressed in a very sweet and sticky bottled dressing. 'Home made' gravy for fries was anything but home made. Service was pleasant and professional. Sorry Michael's, but there's so much competition in town, best to up your game. read more

My lunch date enjoyed his meatloaf dinner. I however had, by far, the worst ribs I ever had. It was like they missed some stage of cooking them. I could not separate them from each other with knife and couldn't eat them with my teeth. Awful! read more

I never write reviews, but you need to be warned. I ordered the MICHAEL'S CHICKEN | chicken supreme stuffed with bacon, spinach and brie; finished with maple thyme demi-glace and asked instead of potatoes and vegtables, to have a small ceasar salad, instead. The chicken was undercooked and looked like they got it out of a generic frozen package. There was very little brie, and the bacon was raw crumble, and smelt terrible and tasted terrible. The Ceasar salad was the smallest salad I have ever seen, maybe one cup worth, and also had clumps of the raw bacon crumble. The bacon crumble was not even cooked, it was raw and soggy. I was willing to put up with all of that, BUT.......... when the bill came and they not only charged me $26.99 for the meal, which now consisted of only the small chicken piece, but they added on $4.oo for substitutine the potatoes and vegetables for a tiny salad. WOW. When I asked them why they would charge me for the substitution, they said it was clearly written on the menu that if we substitute it would cost $4.00. I explained it was ridiculous and the salad had raw fake bacon crumble that tasted horrible, they didn't care. I paid the $30.99 for one tiny piece of chicken, and 1 cup of salad, and will NEVER ever go back. Be warned. The customer service was horrible, they didn't care that the meal tasted terrible with the raw crumble bacon, and simply wanted us to pay. Now its 2.5 hrs later and I feel sick to my stomach from the undercooked meat and raw bacon crumble. I wish had had the forsight to take a picture. You would not have eaten this meal, nor paid for it. read more

Super disappointed couldn't eat here. Came on Mother's Day knew it would be busy ok cool. Checked their website and they said they were offering a brunch until 3pm and the pricing. That's all it listed. We came at 2pm it was pretty near empty and we're greeted and told that the only option was the brunch buffet at $25.99 a person, the kitchen is closed and that's the only option. I really wish the website specified that, since we came out of the way to give them a try. If we come by again I'll give them another try at a higher star review. For bad communication on the website they sit at 2 stars. Bonus star because staff were friendly. read more

You would never guess in a small quaint town like Perth Ontario to find a really really good restaurant. This place has it all! Burgers (Gluten free bread by the way), Thai curry stir fry, Chicken tikka, Filet Mignon, Smoked meat! If you feel like something you will find it here. Gluten free friendly, they even had a GF on the items they can change to gluten free. I was wonderfully surprised with the selection and the excellent quality of this restaurant. If your driving close to Perth, it's worth the drive to try this place out. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant. One of the better ones if found! Try it! read more

This is an excellent family restaurant. My salad had real bacon bits, crispy chicken with moist white meat.

Came here for lunch with my husband for the first time since moving to the area. Lovely staff! They were very sweet. The environment was nicer than I'd imagined from the outside - very warm and comfortable. I ordered a burger and my husband got the French onion soup. They both left something to be desired. Not the best food I've had in Perth, but I will give them a second try before being absolutely certain. read more

First trip to Michaels table. Fine dinning experience. Waitress was efficient, good knowledge of menu and most pleasant. I went there with a friend for dinner on a Friday night. Really we were going to go to O'Reillys but there was a 20 minute wait so we decided to try Micheal's instead. We walk in and there are only 2 tables with people at it. We sat down and told the waitress we were in a rush because we were going to see a play. She was very understanding about it and friendly. My friend and I ordered the same thing - Fall Turkey Panini. The thing is, we received two totally different meals!! When I got my panini, it was a nice bun, good turkey and delish. However my friend had a panini that was mushy on the bottom (from what we have no idea - there is no sauce on the sandwich!) the bun literally fell apart when she took her first bite and her turkey was dried up grissle. So of course she never ate it. The server did ask is she wanted something else, but by then we had 20 minutes before we had to leave and my friend said she doesnt have time. She did offer a dessert but my friend is not a dessert person especially if she hasnt eaten anything else so she said no. Then the bills came. Amazingly they charged her FULL PRICE for a meal that she took 1 bite of. When she addressed it with the manager/owner her response was that because I liked my food and i got the same thing they are charging her. We told her that we even SHOWED the server how the quality of the food was totally different, and the sandwich was mushy and falling apart. She still argued that she offered something else and we said no. Again we stated that we were in a hurry. She finally offered %50 off. Now I am someone that believes the customer is NOT always right. However when you have a customer eat ZERO of the food and show your server why then how can you actually charge that person?!?!?!?!? And then to argue with them about it. Very very VERY poor service from the owner. I will never go back, my friend will never go back. There are way too many great restaurants in Perth to receive an attitude like that! I now know why one restaurant was packed while Micheal's Table was empty. I would rather go anywhere else but back to Micheal's Table. read more
