This is a very nice Michael's, with a fabric and sewing section! I went in there to get molds for epoxy coasters. I need practice before I attempt a countertop. Ended up with monkey lamps and a few other things. I am blaming the monkey lamp purchase on a friend who said I needed Palm Beach decor in my library. But they are adorable. I needed help, and two sales associates were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. Lots of things were on sale. Non-sale prices can be sort of high--$40 for a wreath, $70 for a monkey lamp--but on sale, they're a great value. Lots of gorgeous faux flowers, but I think they are indoor only. Worked with Kait to try to return an item that we were 'supposedly' told was final sale. Would never have purchased as it was a Christmas gift. The cashier who took the sale NEVER stated so! I assume a manager- Priscilla intervened rather aggressively (maybe as a manager introduce yourself as such), Kait who was a little more professional then left. Priscilla would not relent about the final sale ($200.00), we asked to look up our sale (paid cash) as we have a # on file, she refused & actually shoved the item towards my daughter! After dealing with a local frame store in Riverhead and dealing with an extremely rude owner I decided to try Michael's.. wow Kathleen knew her stuff. Patient , took her time with me and listened to what I wanted. The end result was impeccable work and stunning results on two canvas prints. What an asset she is to the store. Michael's sent me a coupon for $45 after reviewing my complaint. The Credit Card company admitted fault and refunded me interest paid and cancelled the outrageous $2 fee to close the already closed account. Also the Credit Bureau was brought up to date by the credit card company. The credit card company said they would retrain their representative. Will continue shopping at Michael's but not ready to get another Michael's credit card. read more

I was at michaels in Lake Grove on Saturday the store was packed the check out line was wrapped around store no social distance. People on top of one another. No one counting the people in store. A real spreading ground for covid 19. I walked in and right out. What is wrong with the staff there. read more

This pertains to the framing department. I've had two pieces framed there and the two stars are because they do a good job, but WHY is everyone working in framing so rude? I've yet to encounter a person who didn't rush me, tell me there was an hour wait (twice in one day), or just act like they hated every moment interacting with customers. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Great store. Always well-stocked, always clean. Helpful staff in the framing department. Custom framing has always come out beautifully and on more than one occasion, the employee helped me save money by helping me find a stock frame. Took off one star because on my most recent visit, the young lady working at the register quickly put the frames I bought and the art paper I bought in one bag before I could tell her not to. When I got home and took the contents out of the bag, the paper was creased and dented and unusable. read more
