Did not see anywhere to get the material cut so had to got all the way to the front and stand in line behind 5 other people. The whole time 2 people working there kept yelling "self checkout is open for card only". They also told everyone they checked out they were glad they had "a good experience". Never heard anyone talking about a "good experience". When we finally got to the front we said we needed some material cut. We were told we would have to go back to the very back of the store to do that. I asked why there wasn't a sign. Their answer "there's a cowbell". Yes, a cowbell! Then they yelled at each other even though they were only 5-6 feet apart that I told them they needed a sign. We went back to the back of the store and never saw a cowbell!. We did see a sign up very high - approximately 10 feet that said we could call for a cut. At eye level at the same place was a sign that said pick up orders could be retrieved at this location. The person that told us where to go in the back disappeared as soon as she pointed to the cutting area. We left without buying anything and won't return! RUDE customer service. Filthy store!

It wasn't to capacity, but there were 5 groups of guests working on projects and a birthday party in a designated group room. Jerry, is extremely kind and patient. He is knowledgeable about the craft and is wiling to help in any way. The price is more than fair for an evening of positive entertainment and camaraderie. There is an $8 sitting fee. This sitting fee includes access to all materials available for the craft and the fire of your project in the kiln. The cost of the the item you select as your project is the only other cost to consider. That price is reflected next to the item for transparency. In the end, you will pay $8/person and the cost of the ceramic piece. I painted a $25 ceramic chicken, so my total was $33. The length of time you spend at Let's Go Paint Pottery varies depending on your level of skill, the size of your project, or simply the time alloted to enjoy your company. Some of my finds included a Corian trivet shaped like a turtle, and I got our niece one that's shaped like a mermaid. I also bought a spoon made from Corian with a notch on it so it can rest on the side of the pot. I bought a print of the Middle Bay lighthouse painted by a retired fireman. I bought two prints of sea turtles painted by an up and coming artist named Gary Pope, Jr. My friend Bev kept telling him he should increase his prices before I paid for mine. She's totally right, but wait until after I buy mine. My favorite local photographer/candle maker was there selling her candles and wax melts and I loaded up. That's Lynn Jordan/Bon Secour Candle Company, in case you're wondering. I bought Jasmine a tutu from a booth that had everything you could possibly want for your pet. Of course I bought some pottery. I got the most fabulous and practical utensil holder with crabs on it for only $36! I wanted so much more and the prices were great. In addition to what we bought, we saw wood bowls, gorgeous and well-made handcrafted jewelry, paintings, clothing, address plaques and so much more. There were several food stands as well and some live music. This festival is not huge. We walked in in a matter of a couple of hours and saw everything. It's really a can't miss annual event. There's no admission and parking is free.

The kids class (Shard Shop Original Art Class) is really reasonably priced and they had a blast creating their own piece of art! Strange, but their only other location is in New Orleans. We showed up on time for our appointment and did not feel rushed. There was one party leaving and another party was there with us, so my kids had their own table full of supplies. They have sample you can base your art off of, or you can freestyle it. Everything was included! Note that it takes a little over 24 hours for your art to cure so don't plan this the day before or the day you are leaving the area. They can always mail it to you, but there is a cost associated and it's more fun to pick it up yourself.
