After doing my due diligence over the past few months I had narrowed it down to a few great metal detectors but knowing I am just getting into the field I had lots questions and definitely some anxiety even after reading up on the subject matter and watching many hours of YouTube videos it was Bart's wealth of knowledge that got me across the finish line. My package arrived in about 5 days all in tact without any damage, it was a breeze to assemble I down loaded the manual after placing my order and read it several times cover to cover which definitely made it simple and also allowed me to get acquainted with the controls and operations, I highly recommend you do this if this is in your future plans. As we searched, this place seemed perfect and in all honesty it was! We were greeted right away and given some instructions on where we could find certain things to paint. There's mugs, piggy banks, plates, bowls, seasonal items, vases, different animals of all sizes and $5 mugs which is a nice money saver. We were impressed by the selection and every piece is a different price that is on the bottom of the item. This establishment is clean and very organized. We spent 2 1/2 hours at Color Me Mine and we were provided with aprons, unlimited paint, paper towels, sponges, water cups, a ton of different brushes and even paint bottles that have a tip for writing on items. During our time there, the associate, Deb, was absolutely incredible! She was attentive and answered all of our questions. She was really good with the kids as well which we always appreciate! She explained that the pieces will have to be picked up later so the finishing gloss can be applied so I can't wait to see our finished results! Deb was happy to recommend near by restaurants as well when we asked. Of course the kids finished before us adults however the facility allows snacks and drinks so they were able to have their snacks. The pricing can vary so I suggest asking up front about the studio fee. For myself and my seven year old we left spending less than $50 including tip. For 2 1/2 hours of fun, that's worth it!

On today's outing that my husband doesn't know about, I went to get some random artwork that he has purchased over the past year framed. I worked with John in the framing department. He was phenomenal. He was very patient as I pulled item after item out of my big bag. He also had some great recommendations that helped me make good decisions. As I was strolling the isles to pick up items for a coworker's going away gift, I realized I hit the jackpot when it was 50% off scrapbooking this week. If that doesn't make you feel like a winner, when you're at hobby lobby when the thing you came to shop for is half off, I don't know what will. I went to the checkout line and today I got the friendly Amelia. She was very polite an easy-going. I had some extra forms to fill out and she took her time as to not rush through them. We went in and were together the entire time just browsing the store, I was on the phone with my phone the entire time that we were there at the location. I was on a back isle talking to my mom about a train when a random employee walked up to me and interrupted my conversation with my mom. She simply said all items are 50% off, nothing else was said and I brushed her off and ignored her because I was on the phone. Within 10 minutes of this, I had a man come to us and stalk us. I have my mom and wife as a witness to the way we had a man stalk us and follow us the entire time we were shopping. He kept watching and being awkward, following us all through the store. He was pretending to face items and just watched constantly. I did not stop talking to my mom at any point expect well after the man started to follow us, I got off the phone because I felt like I was in danger. He made me and my wife very uncomfortable even though he had a hobby lobby outfit on. My wife talked to 3 employees about joining our church but never talked to the man following us because she was too worried. I was a police officer years as well as a veteran for the air force 12 years. I do not appreciate the way he acted, it seemed like he assumed we would steal something at the time. I decided to file a complaint once we left. However, we went to the check out and 4 employees were all looking at us the entire time. I told them I was a former police officer and veteran and asked for the discounts, they denied having the discounts and the woman at the register was very hostile and tried to rush us. I then asked if they had a student discount because I was in school and they mentioned only a card from a church which I didn't understand for a discount. The man who followed us continued to stand behind us the entire time we checked out which was frightening. My fiancée was very scared, she didn't think buying a train for the kids would go so badly. We paid and left the store and the man followed us out, we called the police because it was so weird and they told us to file a complaint on the man. I proceeded to call and I asked for the manager on duty. She picked up, I told her I would like to file a complaint about stalking and harassing of me and my wife, she asked if I was the one who bought the train. I said I bought one yes, I asked her for her name because I record all conversations for record. She refused 5 times to give me her name when asked. She then said she should have called the police and I was a sex offender, claimed I was a sex predator and claimed I talked to some under age woman and slapped her butt. I did not even talk to a woman !!!, I was on the phone the entire time with my mom and was with my wife, my wife did ask a few if they had a church and invited them to ours. "I said ma'am I don't know what you mean I was on the phone and didn't talk to any employee besides the man stalking us. To see if he would leave us alone. I also said I was a police officer years and a 12-year veteran and wouldn't tolerate false accusations. I told her she needed to look at the video before believing what employees say. She dropped several F bombs and never said a name, likely wasn't the manager to begin with. I said I want a written and verbal apology from the woman, I have shopped at Hobby Lobby 25 years and have never had issues. I even worked there when I was young, I know the discounts they have, I also know they do not take employees under 18 so I do not get why she made up a lie like this. Some woman was invited to church by my wife and some how twisted into an accusation or a slap on the ass. She accused not my wife but me of this which the video camera wasn't looked at, they take their employees say as truth without evidence. I told her I would be suing unless I had a verbal in person apology by man who stalked and followed us, and verbal in person apology by the manger who accused me of doing something without looking at the video feed. I also Want my wife to be apologized to in person by both, I also said I wanted to have my items refunded and free at no cost due to the unprofessionalism of the employees based on a lie by someone I didn't even talk to once. I do not even know who accused me unless it was the one I brushed off that came to me and interrupted my call. I told her that I want the removal of the employee who lied about me. When half the order…read morearrived the chalk paint lid was off and bag inside box was covered with paint. 3 days later the rest of order showed up and 8 oz bottle of grey chalk paint had spilled all over everything. I sent my 6th email tonight to their customer service with no reply to date while I get 100 emails a day from them about specials and sales. I have never went a month with ZERO reply of any kind, you can at least get something saying your email has been received and will look into it or something.

The condition of the store reminds me of the poorly managed Dollar General stores. Especially in the fabric department everything is just thrown everywhere, patterns and books are unkept, 8 of 10 patterns we looked for they didn't have. When we asked questions, the employees we talked to were not helpful and knew little about sewing. The store was much better before it moved to this location. It's really too bad there aren't many fabric stores in OKC area anymore. If there were others, I wouldn't be going to JoAnns.
