The woman working had to have been the owner because she was so attentive; she offered to start me a fitting room when I picked up my very first item. A few of my favorite pieces are from here, including an Eisley LBD from several years ago - I think I paid $50 for and have worn at least 50 times! They have a ton of great stuff right now: maxi dresses, Thunder tees, lots of fun chevron, scarves, dresses, etc. I found a sheer purple blouse that I can wear now with a jacket but all spring and summer too! I decided to wear it out, so they rang me up quickly and we visited for a few minutes. It's a treat to shop somewhere with people that will visit with you and make you feel like they're happy to have you in the store. So many places treat you like you're a burden, especially if you're not just seeing how much money you can spend. Because I had no other clothes to change into I kept the sweater on throughout the game and by the end of the game the other sleeve had come apart in exactly the same spot AND the seam on the shoulder had come apart as well. When I brought the sweater in the next morning with a receipt showing I had purchased it the day before and showed the girl how it had fallen apart they told me nothing could be done since it had been worn. I offered to exchange for a different piece of clothing and was told that was not an option either. In my opinion this is no way to treat a customer and shows that they are not at all concerned with the quality of clothing they are selling in their store. I will not shop here again and will advise my friends not to as well.

They have a beautifully curated collection--a blend of local and non-local items--old and new, practical and quirky, unique and creative. My spirits are lifted when I walk through the door. I feel a bit like a I did as a child looking through a favorite relative's hope chest or exploring all of the treasures in my grandmother's home imagining what my home would look like when I got big. I've always been a big fan of Louis Vuitton and I noticed that they sell pre-owned Louis Vuitton for a fraction of the cost so that is why I stopped in plus not to mention it is conveniently located in the shops where TJ Maxx target are. The store is packed with OU goods from apparel to mugs, sports equipment, etc. Basically if it says OU on it Balfour will sell it. They also do a lot of business for the Greek system at OU. The store is in campus corner, so if you go during busy times parking is always an issue, which is no different than any other campus corner place. It is also full, and on big weekends (football games, graduation, etc) it feels crowded. I have never encountered an unfriendly employee at Balfour. There clearly is a reason it has been around this long. Highly recommended for locals or visitors to OU.
