Great suggestion for gift shops, Thanks Yelp, Just recently I made my first visit to the Occasions store and it was a wonderful experience. All the ladies were still eager to help at the end of the day, 4 days before Christmas and very busy. They did a beautiful job of wrapping my two gifts and helped me pick out a card for my special sweetheart wife. The shop was well appointed and I surely will return soon. PS. I didn't get to spend a long time in here because I had my dog with me and dogs aren't allowed. I needed to grab a gift bag for a birthday party and wasn't even sure if they sold gift wrap, but luckily after circling the store there it all was. It looks like they even offer professional gift wrap which is so nice. I will have to remember that. The majority of the store is niche high-end gifts. It's not really my cup of tea. Imagine sorority mothers visiting from Dallas - that is who this store is really for. read more

My daughter just got married and she both registered at Occasions and ordered her wedding invitations there. Susan was wonderful to work with. She directed us to the perfect invitation, so lovely. The whole staff was fun to work with in keeping up her registry, delivering gifts, etc. Loved loved going in each and every time. Jennifer, Susan, Debbie, and all the girls there are delightful. I will never spend a dime in Occasions ever again. They do have a good selection of stationery and gift items. There are adorable paper goods for every occasion. There are fun items like file folders, sticky notes, and address books to brighten up any desk/cubicle/office. There are candles, cake plates, and napkin holders that would make great housewarming presents. There are lots of Greek letter items for the sorority girl in your life. Occasions would be a fun place to shop if their customer service weren't so atrocious. One one visit I purchased two boxes of notecards and paid the $5 to have them personalized. Even though I printed my name for them in order to avoid an error, they still managed to misspell my name. A few months later I went back to get some personalized stationery for my 82 year-old grandmother. They spelled her name correctly, but used the wrong fonts and colors. Recently I purchased a few items for my dining room based on the insistent recommendations of an employee. Once I got them home and saw how wrong they were with my decor, I decided to return them. Even though I had my receipt and nothing had been opened or used, they refused to issue a refund. Instead I am stuck with a store credit at a store where I no longer want to shop. You're taking a chance when shopping at Occasions. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle by going elsewhere. read more

I feel so lucky to have found this shop. Last minute confusion and I was trying to get retirement gift delivered to my sister in Norman OK from my home in IL. I got a couple of recommendations from other people in OK but for one reason or another they didn't work out. And then I saw "OCCASIONS". There is a wonderful young woman there (Hannah) who put me at ease immediately and told me 'of course' she could take care of it. They didn't have the balloons I wanted but she said she would go down the street and get them!! With what I wanted from OCCASIONS and the balloons she got from another shop, I was able to send my sister her retirement present. Hannah sent me a copy of the gift and a copy of the separate card receipts. Excellent service is so rare, I only wish I could give Hannah 10 stars. Thank you so much read more

I love this store!! I went in today to get a gift for my sister and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They helped me pick out a candle and the owner even helped me pick out and personalize notecards for her. They gift wrapped it all so cute and printed the notecards with her name on it while I was still in the store! So quick and easy; I will definitely be going back anytime I need a gift for someone or want something cute for my own home!! I highly suggest going in and looking around! read more
