Obviously a change in staff, but the manager has been around for a long time and a couple staff members had stayed and have been amazing and funny! Seriously, I used to just hang out here as a kid because it's an art store, I'm an artist and the staff is great. It's a very clean store. They always have what I need and things I didn't know I needed. The prices are far superior to Michael's and better than Curry's. Plus the discounts are great and the rewards program is solid too. Oh and did I mention it's animal friendly? I can take my dog for walks in Petsmart and Deserres, Oh and also the customer bathroom is pretty cool. And free bags, who needs to pay a nickel for a bag? All in all, it's a great store. One of my favourite hangout spots, I can test my markers and pencils and all that and talk to awesome staff.

The studio is spacious, clean, and large enough for team building events, or kid's birthday parties. They offer various options such as ceramic painting, hand building and potter's wheel. My plus one and I choose to use our hands and make our own bowl and cup. The staff were friendly and gave us a short tutorial and provided us various tips on placement and design. Not only were they friendly, they were patient as I had to make the same cup 3 times and smooth it out. In the end we left pretty late leaving the venue. Thank you Crackpot for not kicking us out!! Some tips before going, clip your nails, especially if you plan to get down and dirty with any clay. Not feeling the clay? no worries, they have plenty of premade ceramics and paint. You don't even need to be extra creative as we watched others around us make lily pads and clay hands. Keep in mind that once you finish your creation you can't take it home, it takes a couple of weeks for them to dry and give it a glaze finish before you can pick it up. This store is great for scrapbooking products because they have aisles upon aisles of stickers to add to your collection. They also have tons of baking supplies (mostly Wilton products) that will be more than sufficient to aid you in your baking hobby. What I don't like about Michaels is that their merchandises are pretty expensive. Make sure to have a 40% or 50% off coupon when you want to buy something. This coupon helps make their merchandises more affordable. What I do like is that they offer cake decorating classes during the week for really cheap. I completed two of their Wilton cake decorating classes for about $20 each. The reason why I deducted one star is due to the slow customer service at the cash registers. Lines can get pretty long when there are only two registers open. They need to open up at least another register to get the lines moving faster.

They also had a lot of cutouts if there's a theme you're going for. Michael's also has a great 3D sticker collection. They have ones for a ton of cities and countries which is great for documenting your vacation! They only had one checkout lane open. Once a line started forming, another employee opened another POS to help us out. I was asked if I have a Michael's account. They can look you up by phone or email. The membership gets you some deals and a birthday offer.

I considered it a treat going there. Linda is not only amazingly talented she is incredibly helpful. I tell her what I want and she puts the package together without me even having to think. lol. At first I was heartbroken when I learnt she was moving her store to Orangeville but now it is even a bigger treat to go to see her at her store. I am so happy for Linda and her new digs. She still puts everything together for me,knows my taste and lets me know when a yarn she knows I will love comes in. Now my biggest fear is if she ever retires. Items for sale were all reasonably priced and there were around 160 vendors. It took awhile to decide what I wanted/needed to buy. Finally bought 3 stained glass flowers ($5 ea) to put in my planters and a pretty necklace ($18). I wanted another necklace but it had no price and there was no answer from the artist after the cashier tried to get a hold of them which is a shame because they lost a sale). I was visiting from another state but I hope I get another chance to go back.

My friend and I booked through an Instagram direct message and went during their "buy one, get one free" promotion for the fluid bear. The bears come in many sizes, and prices increase accordingly (keychain $22, 7" $58, 9" $68, 13" $108, 21" $168, 1 mini bear and canvas $38, and 2 mini bears and canvas $48). On the website, it also lists how long each project is expected to take. They also have pom-pom canvases and bags. The pom-pom canvases are: 8 x 8" $58, 12 x 12" $68, 18" x 18" $88, 18" x 23" $108, 23" x 23" $168, and 40" x 40" $328. The pom-pom bags are: A4 $88, A3 $108, and B5 $68. When we arrived and checked in for our reservation, an employee showed us the different-sized bears, and there were even some that were sitting or leaning back in addition to the standing ones. He gave us some time to decide, and then we also chose paint colours. We weren't sure what colours we wanted, so he showed us photos of previous customers' projects. We were set up at a table with aprons, our chosen paint colours, our bear on a tray, and even given a hair tie if we didn't have one with us to keep our hair out of the way. The employee showed us how to pour and mix our different paint colours and then pour them on our bears. The first pour was definitely the best one for me. The colours and patterns were astounding. Sometimes the paint doesn't completely cover the bear as it drips down, so they provide a plastic spoon to fill in those spots. The last thing before paying was deciding whether or not we wanted the bears to have a matte or gloss finish. Also, there's no tax if you pay in cash. We were informed that our bears would be ready for pickup in two to three days, and I did get a text informing me that our bears were ready within two days. I wasn't sure how to transport my finished bear home.
