This store is great for scrapbooking products because they have aisles upon aisles of stickers to add to your collection. They also have tons of baking supplies (mostly Wilton products) that will be more than sufficient to aid you in your baking hobby. What I don't like about Michaels is that their merchandises are pretty expensive. Make sure to have a 40% or 50% off coupon when you want to buy something. This coupon helps make their merchandises more affordable. What I do like is that they offer cake decorating classes during the week for really cheap. I completed two of their Wilton cake decorating classes for about $20 each. The reason why I deducted one star is due to the slow customer service at the cash registers. Lines can get pretty long when there are only two registers open. They need to open up at least another register to get the lines moving faster.

Prices are not the best in town, the Michael's just a few blocks down the street has things cheaper but I thought it's a small business I could support. However, the most recent trip made me definitely not wanna go back. I walked in to a customer talking to the owner at the checkout counter. I didn't pay much attention to them as my mind was fixed on getting the supplies I needed for my project. The conversation got heated and both parties raised their voices so I stopped to take a look. I saw the owner pointed his hand toward the door and said "out, out!" and she angrily left. When I was done with my shopping and came to the counter to pay, he smiled and said, in his very limited English: "black people, trouble trouble right?" It's bad enough yelling at a customer, it's entirely another level of rudeness to make racist comment to another customer. Am I apparently better than the other lady just because the colour of my skin?

Immediately upon entering the store, numerous beautifully signed framed photos of Toronto Maple Leafs (TML) star players lined a large wall. Plenty of other gifts to choose from. Everything in the store was 25% off and refreshments and cupcakes were served. I completed a ballot for an opportunity to win a grand opening prize. I also entered a $5 raffle for a chance to win a pair of TML tickets for an upcoming game. Staff were helpful, friendly and courteous.
