I recently did a balloon order here, and to my dismay, I found that all the online reviews about Michael's ballon service was true! I went in store to place the order the day before, and I found the cashier to be a tad strange and bit awkward with customer interaction. Fast forward to the next day, which was pick up, and my order was not made! I was so furious as they looked and checked for my order placement. Luckily, a similar order to mine was done, so I walked out with theirs order instead since I had no time to wait. Still, the experience was less than ideal and I would not recommend. This Michaels was in rough shape when I went. All of the prices printed on the shelves at least for what we bought were all wrong, a dollar more each item which will definitely add up. Some staff were super over the place but a few were helpful. Also the bathroom was probably one of the smelliest I've ever been in even though they lock it to make sure only customers can go in. If it's locked all the time why does the place reek so bad? Michaels is usually a lot better than this so hopefully they're just going through a phase at this one. I'd say try another location instead. read more

Entering my 5th week of being furloughed due to COVID, I have to give a shout out to Michaels for keeping me sane. My first two weeks of being furloughed seemed to just drag and I also probably watched too many movies. So on week 3, I decided to make the best use of my time and learn a new hobby. Thanks to online coupons and curb side pick up, I am safely learning something new and making good use of my time while I wait for the green light to return to work. Thank you to the staff for working so hard in fulfilling online orders, keeping the store clean, and running out to our cars! I know a lot of people have been arguing that Michaels shouldn't be considered essential and should be closed during this time. Are they making medical grade masks, gloves, face shields, or mass producing hand sanitizer for our front line heroes? No. However, they are helping to keep people busy at home so that one day we don't just flood the streets from pure insanity. I think any organization who can contribute to preventing mass hysteria in my neighborhood deserves a shout out! read more

I do a lot of shopping at Michaels for students at the U. Whether it's art supplies or canvases, Michaels seems to have everything. I also appreciate all the coupons I can generally use, so prices are usually comparable (and sometimes cheaper) then I would find on Amazon. This store's employees are very helpful and friendly, and have no complaints about the staff. One thing that bugs me-I can't use my tax exempt ID # very easily online. Home Depot and Amazon offers really simple ways to enter a Tax exempt ID number at checkout, and for that reason I have to drive to Michaels to use my tax exempt. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed in the future-and if it was, I would shop here way more than I currently do. read more

I've visited here twice because it's closest to my house. Most Michaels have gone through updating but this one is insanely cramped for some reason. Poor setup, busy and the employees are not helpful. I'm assuming our cashier was a seasonal part-timer due to his work ethic. He barely acknowledged us throughout our transaction, was joking with someone else over his walkie-talkie and drinking soda. I pretty much only visit Michaels if I need something. This Micheals is in the former Old Navy spot. I would say this location has the best layout compared to other Micheals stores. The flow guides you through the store and it seems easier to find what you need here. It is a smaller space, but they use it well. When you walk in, there is a party room for classes or birthday parties off to the left. I think the schedule is posted in the store or online. Don't shop here without a coupon! They always have ongoing sales, but they will ask you to present that coupon. Since I don't get the Sunday newspaper ads, I signed up for their email coupons. They can be pulled up on your phone quickly at the register. read more

I have posted before about the lack of customer service with the company and I am posting again. After many conversations with customer service, they still refuse to refund to total amount owed to me. I am being told to contact my bank. My bank has nothing to do with these charges, Michaels does, and I am disgusted that they are not refunding the money they took from me. This customer is done giving them my money. read more

It's convenient to have a big arts and crafts store like this in NE now. Wish it was here when I was planning my wedding a few years back. Now I stop here when I need basic yarn or needles to whip up gifts for people. Me and my sister went to this Michael's to purchase from picture frames and checked out with AUDARA. She didnt greet us until we greeted her. When she finished checking us out, she asked for us to enter our phone number in, which we did but she was distracted trying to help another associate and demanded us to enter the phone number in because "we didn't enter it in" and we explained to her we did. As we were explaining it to her, she completely ignored us and started babbling about how we need the rewards and kept interrupting us so I had to speak louder so she could understand that we did enter in a phone number and no longer want to sign up for rewards. We also asked her to separate the frames into two smaller bags instead of one huge bag, that would be way too big for my frames. She didn't care and tried to put it in the huge bag so I asked if she could change it to two smaller bags and she ignored me and continued on to put it in the bag so I had to repeat myself a lot of times before she finally understood what I was asking for. Audara needs to get better training! She has horrible customer service and need to be attentive! She's off in her own world and is so rude! read more

Store has good selection but pricey. Very few sale items. Staff not friendly or customer service oriented and store doesn't seem to trust customers. Lots of items are locked in cabinets, so you can't get a good look unless you find an associate and keep asking them to open the cabinets. I'm from Chicago and I have never seen this at a Michael's. read more
