Went here for my husband's Christmas present. To the frame department to be specific. The customer service was beyond horrible. Michelle was rude, brash and literally said "I will not do that " when I asked her for a magazine frame. She should NOT be in customer service at all. The value was reasonable with the sales price but because of her, I will go elsewhere for my framing. I do not recommend the framing department at all. With just a couple weeks left before Halloween, I popped into this location just to see if they had anything left and I was surprised at a decent variety and a few things I hadn't seen at other locations. You learn pretty quickly that you can get different items at different stores- sometimes because of higher foot traffic and sometimes because of merch distribution. Having worked for a different location once upon a time- I know to stop in and check out various locations when I get the chance! They were currently slim on Christmas decor compared to other stores, but it is worth checking back later to see what gets stocked at this spot. read more

Thank you Michaels for making buying easy with your online shopping platform that allows you to pick up your orders the following day in store! I'm a military spouse. My husband is constantly deploying and we have a toddler (who is very fussy). I also work full time from 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. I barely have time to run errands on my own or do any crafts but by allowing me to plan ahead and take the hassle of having to walk through the store and wait in long lines. I can just buy all the items I need online and quickly pick them up at the store by showing my ID card. I am in and out of the store in less than 5-10 minutes. It makes shopping with a toddler so easy! I make my husband care packages for him and his crew. I've made my husband birthday theme package and a Valentine's Day package. I've also made goodie bags for his crew members filled with candy for Christmas and Valentines Day. My goals is to build up morale and make these men feel loved for all their sacrifices they make for our country but I wouldn't be able to do that without Michaels. The care package decor that I used was purchased at Michaels. I used cardstock scrapbooking paper for the sides and the bottom. I would stencil and cut words out of the remaining paper and purchase the stickers and goodie bags in packs of 6. A total of 3 packs of 6 fit perfectly in these care boxes. I get USPS medium boxes. My husband and his crew get excited when they get care packages from me! I do it because they make the ultimate sacrifice and deserve all the love they can get! This store has switched to all registers self-checkout, so they don't have to pay employees to be cashiers. The line was terrible and once I finally got to the front of the line, the computer had another customer's scanned items on it, so I couldn't complete my purchase. I left my items and walked out. This is unacceptable customer service. Do better Michaels. read more

Recently started crafting more so visiting Michaels has been a weekly routine. The staff is always super friendly & helpful, the deals are the best & I always walk out with more than I walked in for. I love bringing my niece & nephews for the kids crafting events, it leaves you wanting to decorate just about anything. I highly recommend this store for any of your crafting needs. read more

The service that I received at Michael's was excellent. I went there the other day the frame manager Michelle helped me with a project that I'm working on. I am trying to make a chunky blanket and couldn't seem to follow the YouTube video very well she took her time and worked with me. She also had some patterns for me to use And helped me with some yarn selection for future chunky blankets. Plus, Michelle told me that if I had any questions, I was welcome to call her and welcome to come back for her assistance. I can't believe how kind and welcoming she was and how helpful she was if I could, I would give her a raise, but I'm not the manager or corporate, in addition, she also let me make a little videotape for myself on my cell phone so I could remind myself how she made the chunky blanket. It was spectacular and I will be going back there again to look for some more yarn. Thanks to Michelle. What a wonderful experience as a customer, she is so helpful and so interested in what she's doing. I wanted to stop off at Michael's today to buy some St. Patrick's ribbon for my wreath I had made for my front door. I also wanted to buy a necklace or hat for St. Patrick's Day. My Red Hat Group is going out to lunch this day and we have the option to wear green. I found a cute little headband with a green hat on it. Too cute to pass up. Just what I was looking for. I also found some four leaf clover cake decorations. If I have time, I will be baking a cake to take to work on Friday and use the four leaf clovers on top of the cake. All of the St. Patrick's items are all on sale for 50% off! I had a 40% coupon, but did not need it. Everything I bought was surprisingly 50% off. This is why I like Michael's. My only complaints are (1) its far from Riverside and (2) there are customers who hunt this place faithfully, so if something goes on sale, you have to be totally on the ball and get there ASAP or there will be nothing left. I'm addicted to paper, stickers, stamps, pens. I am a big fan of stationary and I always have been. So when I browse Michaels, I always feel like I'm back to being a kid. I look at all the cool scissors that cut zigs and zags. Anyway, this store is always well stocked and up to date in inventory. I always see their changing displays for Holidays and seasons, and I am never bored with the selection. They always have great prices and sales, even coupons in addition to their already decent prices. Sign up for their emails and you can receive extra coupons for the store and get the inside scoop on upcoming sales. Overall, I love perusing the aisles for new things to use in my planner. I should really buy a scrapbook, but printing out pictures is so tedious I just post everything online instead. Anywho, they also have great gift options and their clearance is great when you are looking for something out of season. I can always find use for some of the things in the clearance section even if it's not right at the moment. Customer service is great. Ever walk into a store and get stuck on repeat saying, "Oooooh! I want this. Ooooh! I want that!" This was my problem when I visited Michaels today. I was on the hunt for some new wall frames for my house and Michaels was up to the task with an immense collection of frames to fulfill my needs---if only their home decor and art supplies weren't tempting my attention away! I bought some LOVELY double white matted frames that were on sale 40% off (Studio Décor® Airfloat Gallery™ Wall Frame with Double White Mat.) My photos look FANTASTIC against the double mat and with the QUALITY wood frame. I had been searching across town for the past week and most store frames were dismal plastic garbage. Thank you Michael's for the rescue! I didn't have a coupon but the lovely Lynne gave me one and even signed me up for their Rewards program to entice me back with more savings! Used this store for "ship and pick up at store", which saved me a bundle on shipping costs while shopping on-line in November and December. I was taking advantage of the sales while stocking up on paper craft supplies and it worked out great. The sales people were pretty great, hardly any hick-ups. Nothing major and easily resolved. I made some returns and those went smoothly, which can sometimes be a pain with on-line sales. The sales clerks knew what they were doing. Yeah! The location of the store is pretty good. It can get confusing with the off-ramps and such at that location, since I am directionally challenged, but I managed and once you know the route it's pretty straight forward, but it can be tricky. I really recommend the shopping on-line and then picking up, they will bring it out to you and you can get 20% off if you do it that way on everything you purchase, anyway that's what they were offering over the holidays. Previously visiting this store had left me disappointed but as of recently they've really bulked up their product selection and quantities available and I am loving it. I reside on the north side of town and I have found that each time that I've gone to this location they have had everything that I've needed without me needing to make multiple trips. The store associates are more than helpful and friendly the store is well kept and it's clean. I truly enjoyed myself there this morning. I needed to make a return & the process was super simple. I'm also loving the rewards program updates where as I can see the savings through their app and also know what they have available in stock. Worst customer service ! If I could only give no stars I would. I walked around half the store, passed by 2 employees & no one spoke. There were 3 employees yackin it up at the floral arrangement counter about personal things. When I approached them as asked what I was looking for, The floral arranger that was on the phone told the employee named Nick to take me to the department where I needed to look and Nick looked down at me with the disdainful snooty face and said " she can find it herself" I don't have to take her ! he was so rude !
