In my opinion, the Covid-19 Pandemic revealed two different types of people running service businesses: 1. Those who almost gleefully celebrated the pandemic as an opportunity to offer their customers less, to lower their standards, eliminate services, make everything easier for themselves at the cost of making things worse for the customer, and 2. Those who came back stronger than ever, excited to not only continue their services, but to improve them. This Giovanni's is a disgrace and leads the pack in terms of businesses who fit into the first category. They are still operating, right now, many years after the 2020 pandemic, as if they are still in the midst of a worldwide shutdown. They have never returned to in-store service or dining, the building sits there looking like some post-apocalyptic, sad, abandoned shell of a business. My family has sworn them off, and we've become loyal customers to many other pizza places in town, including the gas station right down the street.
