As an avid crochet/knitter and all things textile and crafty, I have yet to go and not find an item. As I write this I am on my way to pick up more yarn. I have been meaning to update my review of Michael's up from its original four stars to five. It certainly has improve greatly from my original review in the home goods and decorations departments... but the five stars is definitely earned due to its custom framing department. In the last few years I have paid for half a dozen custom framing jobs done for items in my home... and each and every one of them has come out beautifully... I have added examples in the pictures. The most recent one was a canvas wall painting of a bird I found online which I needed framed. Once again, it was beautifully framed and just made the work of art, pop. I have to give all the credit to one person in particular in this department by the name of Anna. She has amazing taste. I bring the items over to her and have a very vague/general idea of what I want. She makes it happen by giving me options, ideas and know how to make it work. I am thankful she works there because her good taste has helped beautify my home. In the most recent order of the bird, I made an order at the Michael's store and she wasn't there. When she came into work, she looked at the order and called me to tell me it wouldn't work. Seems I ordered a frame which wouldn't have held the canvas correctly. She said it wouldn't come out right. She asked me to go back to the store and helped me pick out a frame that could effective hold it and in a more beautiful design. If anyone at Micheals is reading these reviews... she deserves a huge raise! Great store and if you want custom framing... check this place out! read more

Store is clean, organized, and well stocked. The woman at the cash register was impatient though.

Birthday party: there were 8 kids in attendance. The assistant was already there. With the package you are given 2 hours. They had 3 activities planned and, because the girls kept going in and out of the cardboard dollhouse, we didn't get finished. They gave the girls the unfinished craft and any extra pieces that they might have needed to complete it at home. I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to do much. The craft kept the kids engaged. Loved that I wasn't responsible to clean up even though I did. I have been bragging about the fact that they have this (birthday parties) and happy that it went off without a hitch. Original review: Besides the fact that the lines are ALWAYS long in this place, I am such a fan! I love that there's so many possibilities. I went in to pay for my daughter's birthday party ($120 for 8 kids including the birthday child and $10 extra per child). I was helped immediately and was able to ask questions and pay within 20 minutes. read more

This has always served as a go-to store for all our Arts & Craft needs! I am really love this store! They have a huge selection but usually always full price. But they have a great App, with Sales going on all the time. They have a framing section where you can custom frame your pictures! I usually find everything I need as far as supplies for special projects. Rarely is there a need to order online from another vendor and get it it in two days. I usually check out their clearance racks every time I visit the store. There is always something there worth getting. Don't forget about the smells! Their candles smell great! Came to Michaels in homestead tag Said a price in clearance and when you go to the register the price is different . It's a mistake they did and they didn't help or matched the price it was suppose to be . On top the manager Had a horrible attitude. read more

Well.. I live 23 miles away in key largo. I went into Micheals specifically to get document frames.. I saw a few we're 60 percent off so I took the time to do the math and decited on 4 frames. Waited in a long line ..finaly another register opened ( now two open) finally my turn.. but wait.. the $16.00 frame is now $32.00 And the others came up normal pricing with no discounts.. " wait..these are all 60 percent off!" They said the sign was wrong and this will take a long time to figure out..( as they put the frames aside) ok... driving home 23 miles with no frames.. read more

They really have stepped up now with the pandemic going on. I always had a great shopping experience when I would come to Michael's and I am happy to say the great shopping experiences are still continuing. I saw a sale for teachers had been going on online, so I made an online purchase to pick up the next day. They sent me a text when it was ready to be picked up and after work I headed over to the store. I browsed to see if anything caught my eye for a minute before I went to go pick up my supplies. From the time I rang the help button in the pick up section they have (to the right of the store almost as soon as you come in) maybe less than two minutes had passed before someone was there to help me. They confirmed my names and went to go get my items from another place they have in the store for safekeeping. They had double bagged my items so I was able to check my order was correct when I was outside. Everything was great and quick and politely organized within the bag. They have hand sanitizer at the entrance so you can sanitize your hands when you come in and does her leaving. Masks are mandatory and all staff was wearing one. read more

I've been coming to this Michaels for years and I have never had a bad experience here. The prices are always fair and there's always discounts that help you save even more. They also have some great items for Halloween! I highly recommend this store for anything living here or visiting. read more

Michael's has everything you need when it comes to DIY projects and decorations. Only downfall is the staff is sometimes unwilling to assist you and most have bad attitudes, especially at the registers. Over all great place to shop for your money. read more

Good place for general crafts but really don't have enough yarns available. The Homestead one is better than the one at Kendall and the turnpike and the one at Dadeland. read more

The worst Michaels ever, I go to this store at least twice a month because if needs and they never fail to disappoint, their prices are often listed wrong, clueless employees, only once that a manager lady year was great, he picked up chocolate that I needed from another store. read more
