They do not follow corporate return policy. I purchased online and in person, the product was way larger than portrayed and wouldn't work for my project. Within a few hours we returned with the scan code for returns on the front of the bag. The return wasn't going through and they asked if we bought through Paypal, which we did and has never been a problem anywhere. They said due to that, they had to issue a gift card. I don't shop here regularly, that is of no use to me. Trying to find a customer service option on the main website is near impossible. After looking at the return policy online, it CLEARLY states all purchases made with Paypal will be refunded cash!!! (See pic) I'd like my cash back please because it feels shady that I'm forced into a gift card when your own website says that shouldn't be the case. read more

I was getting prepared for some projects for National Crafting Month this March, and I needed to pick up a variety of items to round out my supplies - wiggly eyes, foam sheets, a baseball cap, and the like, as well as refills on my mod podge and hot glue sticks. I was able to easily locate everything I needed, plus found some great clearance items at the various displays around the store. The store was clean and organized. The checkout moved quickly; they have converted to having several self checks in addition to having one cashier run one at the time of our recent visit. This store is located in the Easton shopping centers, and there is a lot of parking available in the lot. We noted that there is a side lot adjacent to Michaels in particular that was nearly empty, which was very handy. read more

I came here in search of a wooden placard - to use for mounting my cut outs for a vision board. I didn't know exactly what I needed - but figured they would have something I could use. Rather than asking for help, I just wandered around the store and I love looking at all the various stuff they have. I'm often tempted to buy things I find interesting - but know I will never use the stuff. So I wander on. I found a display of various wooden boards in many shapes. I found one that I knew would work - but kept looking. And sure enough, I found another possibility that had finished wood and a thin rope attached for hanging - AND - it was on sale! Cheaper than the other unfinished wood I didn't like as much. So I headed towards the front of the store, still walking slowly and looking at everything in my view. I did stop and go down the baking aisle to see if they had any deals. I recall getting some of their chocolate rounds (that you melt for dipping) on clearance and other frosting and coloring products on sale. Those types of things I will always use and I love to cook and bake. At the register, I was behind a lady just finishing her sale. Ringing me out was fast and easy. Surely I've already reviewed this? Huh. Anyway, Sweetie comes here all the time, I come once in awhile. Holiday decorations, craft projects for the kid, etc. They do framing, and offer advice for projects. Prices seem high to me, except for sales. This time we got stickers for Baby K- they have fancy scrapbooking ones, and little school-type ones. Service was good. They're on the edge of Easton so there's plenty of parking, and it's usually not as crazy as the center of Easton on weekends. read more

As I buy all my DIY supplies for my crucut, jewelry, and tshirts since I never have need to return but did this 1 time I find out that you are taken to the bank. If you're a crafter and artist like myself, you bounce back and forth between Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, and Blick. Depending on the day and the coupons you have, you can visit all of the spots mentioned in one weekend (guilty!). The things I like about this location of Michaels include the giant parking lot out front, the close vicinity to other shopping options, the quick checkout lines, and the helpful staff. Unlike some craft stores, Michael's store layout tends to change depending on the location and sometimes I have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. While yes, all the aisles are marked accordingly, they aren't always easy to see due to the large amounts of supplies stacked up high. This is when their helpful staff is much appreciated. They are always happy to point me in the right direction. Pro tip - Michael's offering a reward program where you can save some money. They will send you great coupons on the mail and they're always something like 40-60% off an item or purchase. Well worth it! read more

I have recently brought two paintings in to be framed. Michaels was having an excellent sale right before and after Christmas. The quality of work has always been good and there are many cram and matting choices. I would recommend knowing want and how much you want to spend as they obviously work on commission and give the hard sell for more expensive frames and matting options. read more

I'm puzzled that one mystery continues to remain unsolved every time I visit this particular location. Why can I never find an employee away from the cash register? The employees working came across incompetent and lazy. Michael's you might want to pop quiz your employees - they seem quite daft. With that said, I love that Michaels allows coupons to be scanned from smartphones. There were several sales going on throughout the store which made me feel comfortable buying a few extra items I didn't intend to purchase for my project. read more

This review is primarily for the framing department. They went above and beyond the call of duty for us. A few weeks ago, we took advantage of a frame sale to have our poster/wedding guestbook framed. We were nervous about leaving the original (with the notes from our guests) at the store so we substituted an unsigned poster. It came back when they said it would and looked fantastic! The hitch came when we tried to swap the posters ourselves... due to a teeny, tiny flaw in the glass and our own stupidity, we managed to break the glass. My husband went back to the store to see what could be done about getting some new glass. Not only were we offered a new piece of glass, they took care of re-framing the poster so our stupid hands didn't break anything again. The best part? They fixed it on the SPOT! I was floored, I thought we would have had to wait (and was perfectly okay with waiting). So, not only were they super-accomodating but the picture looked amazing. Yes, it was pretty expensive but we needed a custom frame... it was so worth the price. We will definitely come back to get framing done. read more

This Michael's can sometimes get very busy, but that doesn't stop staff from being helpful and keeping the lines moving. I love that they accept coupons on smart phones. This store has some great clearance. They also have great weekly specials and are good about having enough stock to supply the demand. I shop here for baking supply (pans, boxes, decorative wrap, frosting tips, and colorings), silk flowers (because I kill all living plants), baskets, picture frames, art work, Christmas Decor (can't beat 6-% off before the Holiday ends). I give 5 stars to the entire Michaels group. They are all over America and sell everything you could want in the shape of arts and crafts materials. Huge buildings and take ages to look round. If you are like me you will spend a fortune but marvel how everything seems to be half the price it is in UK. As well as books and materials for many projects they have doll and bear crafting, scrapbooking, mosaics, leather, jeweelery tool and a huge selection of beads and findings. Moulding materials, craft paints. Ribbons, candle and soap making, papercrafts, yarn and fabrics, and stuff for DIY home decor. Not like B & Q but to give arty touches. I have only visited 2 or 3 of these stores but all were great. Mail order too I believe. read more

I just had a horrible experience at the @Michaelsstore Easton location. As a consumer, I am fully aware of the department store hours in this area. The Easton area store closes at 9pm. I was on my way to @michaelsstore to pick up an item for my daughters project. I arrived to @michaelsstore at 8:50pm to find the doors were locked for the evening. A sales associate was stocking in front of the doors so I knocked to get her attention. She looked up shook her head and mouthed to me the store was closed. As I looked down to check my watch she walked away out of sight. I could see a few ladies checking out so I called the store. Another associate answered and I told her that I was standing at the locked door and it was not yet 9pm. She said ok and hung up the phone. At this point I realize everyone in this location was rude and the customer service is well below satisfactory. I knocked and the first associate came over to unlock the door. She had a very nasty tone as she told me they were closed but would let me in. I was able to grab my one item in seconds. I've worked in retail and customer service and would never have treated a customer the way I was treated this evening. Locking the doors before the posted closing time, refusing to open the door, and hanging up is unacceptable for any business. I normally shop at Joann's Fabric and their associates ask if you need help. They have even walked me to the items I'm looking for. It was definitely a different experience going to Michael's. I won't be returning to the Easton location. read more

I am repeatedly disappointed in this store. They take coupons, including JoAnn's coupons, but only one a day. Who does that? JoAnn's lets you use multiple coupons. But my biggest gripe is that when you go to the register with all your expensive stuff and a coupon, they say, "Sorry, the coupon doesn't cover that." Especially books. The coupons =never= cover books. So my advice is, if you want art books or other how-to craft books, buy them from Amazon (much cheaper) or JoAnn's (you can actually use a coupon). The only reason I go to Michael's is that they have better art supplies than JoAnn's, I refuse to shop at Hobby Lobby, and there is no good art supply store on my side of town. But I'm starting to think I would be much better off to drive to the real art store in Dublin (Blick's) or the other real art store downtown (Utrecht). read more
