I've never had any bad experiences here, but today I had one of the best customer service experiences ever. Like this would be the kind of story a manager might tell in training to motivate new employees. I was looking for about 20 frames that are an unusual size - they're poster size, but i was looking for a frame a little nicer than the plastic poster frames you'd normally see - and found only 6 on the shelf. The woman who helped me is named Rachel (98% sure on that) and she went above and beyond the call of duty. Rachel looked up the inventory of the store to see if they may have had more. Luckily for me, they did. Rachel looked in all of the storage places she thought the extra inventory might have been (just to make sure the 6 that I had were really the only 6 left in the store) and she found me 2 more. Then she went on to look up the inventory at other stores, called the Colerain store and waited on hold to see if they had more in stock than this location, and while she was waiting she checked online to see if I could maybe order the frames that way. It was awesome. I left the back of the store 12 short of my goal, but knowing that there was no stone left unturned. This awesome experience didn't stop there. While I was in line to checkout, Rachel came to find me with a different style of frame, but right size, in hand to see if that would work. (It didn't quite fit my need, but I so appreciated this effort.) This place rocked! read more

Went in for material. Suggestion: you need a help button/bell at service cutting station. A note said go find an associate. Yeah, that was fun. Another suggestion: when ordering online can you move the quantity to 1/2 yard and a yard. Right now it's just a yard. I need (9) 1/2 yard cuts today. Would appreciate it if IT could change that for online orders. Thanks a bunch! read more

Amanda was super helpful. But Katelyn should learn better customer skills if she's going to be a cashier. Everyone is allowed days but she didn't greet, ask if anything was ok, nor thank you upon. I went in for picture frames and Amanda was great with helping to locate various options. And I walked in on a sale, so event better value buy one get one. read more

They now have some self check outs and the line goes much faster. They have a good selection of times. Prices are decent. Workers are friendly. read more

Michaels - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I went to return a product because I realized at home that the quality did not match the price. It was a clear backpack priced at $29.99 plus tax. However I had lost my receipt. I did pay with my card and the charge for Michael's was there for $32.33, price of item + tax. When the cashier proceeded to find the transaction with the credit card, she was not able to find it. I showed her my transaction history with the price being charged she said that was not enough. She hesitantly scanned the item to process a return. But in the middle of the process I saw that they were only returning $9.00 dollar (I guess this is how I find out the real price for this backpack). I told her that was not what I paid for it. She said "without a receipt that's all they could do". I asked to speak to the manager. I offered to show them at the store where this item was and the price displayed. She said no. She said she spoke with the manager over radio and manager said the same thing "without a receipt you get the lowest marked price". I left the store but called from the car. They told me to come in but that without a receipt and if they could not find the transaction I would be returned the lowest marked price. I came back and this time I took a picture of the other bag and the bag itself. They, the cashier and another worker, did the same thing and said I would only get the $9.00 they were registering. I said if I did not get the full price I would have to dispute the charge since at least I was overcharged. New person said they would not process the return if I threaten to dispute the charge. She took me to the back where the frames are and there she asked me in which register I paid. I told her which one, I even made it easy on her and told her it was at about 12 pm the they before. After some minutes, she found the transaction and processed the return. I apologized for my outburst. I did not get an apology back. She (they both) had a very upset demeanor throughout the whole process. read more

I spotted the store while I was in the shopping center for other stops and popped over. The store was clean and well organized. We were able to locate the items we were looking for promptly and did enjoy a little extra browsing. Plentiful parking is available in the shopping center lot. read more

Today I was in line 32 minutes. There was one cashier. Once it was my turn she was having a difficult time. She explained she was new. I said well at some point we all have been it's ok I was patient with her. She called Amanda to help her. I had an "as is" purchase. The girl scanned the wrong bar code so it came up the 50 percent off. Amanda then left not waiting to make sure she knew what to do. In turn making me wait even longer. She then could not get the price on the screen. She apologized and said she had two hours of training, alone on a register with a line. Amanda was called back, and said read your register. She had to key in the price. Again not waiting to make sure it was done and the customer did not wait any longer walked away. By the end I was not given any change and said nothing. Her register will be over cents. Michael's as a store you need to do better. Train your employees. Help them till they get the basics down. We all learn at different speeds. Two hours for this cashier was not it. Holidays are approaching. read more

I lost my boy here! We came in and got two big paintings framed and that was a wonderful experience, good prices and service. Nice frames! But then I completely forgot Lister was still in the store when I drove off. Turns out the nice folks up front gave my boy some candy and called my cell phone number which I attached to his hoodie because last time I left him over at the Discovery Zone my ex-wife was a little upset.
