This is a wonderful craft store, and whenever I'm in downtown Cincinnati, I always try to stop by…read more The store has a huge selection of secondhand art supplies and a wide variety of miscellaneous creative items. One of the best things about this place is simply walking around and letting the inspiration come to you! I ended up buying three random trophy stands for sculptures I'm working on, and all three together were only 15 cents! The prices are amazing. You're welcome to donate while checking out, and you can also pay what you feel is fair based on your budget and what you think the item is worth. They do provide a suggested price when you check out, so it doesn't feel like an uncomfortable haggling situation. Whether you're looking for supplies for a craft night with friends, working on your own projects, or just want to browse and get inspired, this is a great place to visit. They also have a small selection of newer items from local artists, including artwork, prints, and jewelry available for purchase. You truly never know what you might find here!

I took a friend with me and she also found something she liked. Prices are extremely reasonable. This is a shop that sells donated craft supplies and art supplies. Some items are partially used, some partially done projects, and new items still in the package it came in. I come to the Covington area once a year with an art group for a retreat and we always seek out places like this in our free time. If you are looking for great prices and some unique items then give this place a look through!

It was a great way to kick off the holiday season. I love that there was an outdoor craft show at…read moreWashington Park at the same time, so I got a "two-fer." I shopped there for the traditional arts and crafts gifts, then went into the side door of Music Hall (yes, at you're looking at it, the fair can only be accessed through the left-hand side door of music hall) for unique artist-made crafts. I didn't buy much -- just a silk-screened t-shirt and some tasty Jalapeno jelly -- it was the perusing itself, and talking directly to the artists that was the joy of the season. And I had some great, animated conversations with the artists themselves, who were helpful and excited to talk about their work. Yes, these are hand-made specialty items, so the price was high. But it is going directly to the artists, so it is worth it.

My first time attending the Crafty Supermarket, and it did not dissapoint. The space is beautiful…read moreand uplifting - warm, inviting, roomy, and festive. The booths were very high-end, offering great design and well-made products. Eli's BBQ was there, along with a bar, coffee stand, and gelto. It wasn't very crowded when we went, so take that for what it is. YMMV. Be prepared to spend some serious cash, also. I didn't buy many things, but the bill was high. I like supporting artists and designers, so I don't mind, but it certainly isn't a budget shopping experience.

I really do love this place. Take everything I wrote before and paste it here. The staff here is so…read moreconsistent and has been for years. I feel like I've developed friendships with people I've never actually hung out with. In addition I almost always get nostalgic about the time I spent in art store searching for items on a list for my art classes. Best prices in town. Right now they have 60% of professional primed canvas which is remarkable because it never goes on sale. I will attach pictures of my painting that this store is responsible for (in a way). I couldn't be more satisfied. Not so humbly submitted, Michael C.

They also have a Kenwood location that might have items in stock. The staff has always been helpful, polite, and accommodating. Also, pro tip... check Groupon for discounts. Unfortunately, there's no Dick Blick in the vicinity. In my experience, Blick is sometimes cheaper than Plaza but the benefits of having Plaza close by cannot be ignored.

Anyone who plans events (and does lots of heavy lifting on their own) knows that a trip to michaels…read morecan really spruce up your event (usually for pretty little cost). I dropped in at this location to grab a couple crafty supplies on the way to an event. There was plenty of parking, though figuring out where to turn in was just a bit tricky. This is your standards Michael's store which means that if you aren't going online to find dat 40% off coupon you're doing it wrong. The way they have the line set up at the register was also a bit confusing and I think I almost cut someone in line (I bet they would have put me in my place REAL fast). I did have to ask for directions to an item while here though and the staff spouted out the aisle number without batting an eye. Pretty standard experience here, but I'll be back if I'm in the area in need of craft supplies.

I needed…read moresome last minute frames for our nursery for photos the next day...went late in the evening because our newborn was having a hard time being soothed so it took some time before I could leave the house. It was 10:01 (the announcement had went off to finish your shopping) and I was gathering the last couple frames and one of the employees proceeded to find me in the store (as she should) because they wanted to go home. I told her I was sorry and just needed to grab the frame I set in the corner...she then told me "no- you need to stop shopping we're trying to leave." I told her she didn't need to be rude I was finished and headed their way... "I'm not being rude we're literally locking the doors." Lots of eye rolling and mumbling under her breathe as we walked to the front...added touch of kindness for this tired mom. 2 minutes past close... 2 minutes. I was made to feel like a villain and treated with no respect. being a nurse I work in a profession I rarely get off on time. Be kind- you don't know what people are going through. be a better employee and show grace and speak kindly!! I hope the manger sees this and addresses this woman...she needs a hug.
