This little shop is located in the 'uptown' area of Oxford, where all the other shops and restaurants are. First you walk into the small shop and see the walls lined with pottery. There are pieces mixed in that are already pre-made, these are nice because they give you some ideas and show you what the finished product looks like. There are a variety of different pottery pieces to choose from. Some of the finished items didn't have a corresponding pottery item to paint on. This may have been because it was family weekend and they were especially busy, regardless I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Tables are set up, and if you make a reservation, they will have table laid for your name written on the paper covering it. There are tips on the tables if you are new to this. But other than that..it's just paint away at your own discretion. It's a fun experience if you are with a good group of people. I could see how it would also be a calming and even therapeutic experience if you go on your own. They do let you bring your own drinks and provide cups to drink out of. We brought a bottle of wine. Also keep in mind that it takes 7 days for your piece to be ready, so if you don't live in the area you will want someone that can pick it up for you. They do offer shipping though.

There was so much sentimental value because of the time it was made the people who came out make it. It was definitely one big family effort and it was a gorgeous frame and Chelsea went in on her own time and managed to fix it and make it. It's almost perfect. We decided to pop in and check this place out on a Saturday morning, unknowing what we were getting ourselves into. We just needed to get out of the house. On the left side of the shop is a wall FULL of unfinished ceramics starting at $7 and going up. You choose what you'd like to paint (we went with a few different items) and then you get started! The kid wall is full of little animal statues like penguins, peacocks, elephants, bears. For the adults there's mug, ornaments, plates. You can add on smaller pieces for $1 or decorate a cute ceramic letter. There's so many different selections that you could come back 10 times and still find something new to paint. They have everything you need as far as paints, brushes, smocks, sponges, stamps. Go at your own pace, use whatever design your heart desires and they glaze and fire it for you. Keep in mind, this process takes one week so you can't take it home right away. Plan for one week if you're giving as a gift. As for pricing, you purchase your item for whatever is written on it and then for kiddos it's $5 flat fee, adults is $7 flat fee on top of your piece. My kiddo painted 3 things and it was under $20. They have different specials throughout the year, so you pick. I chose the flower and vase. The flower uses a pulling of the glass and the vase you blow the glass. Our teacher was awesome.
