Tonight was my 2nd time painting with The Paint Sesh. The first time was November 2019 and it was awesome!! I've been wanting to try one of their virtual sessions via Zoom. I tried the Beachside Night, it was also an amazing experience. Chelz takes it step by step so don't worry. She explains everything well. The music she plays is fire. They have great taste in music. I was planning a paint and sip for a milestone birthday of mine for a few years now. But thank goodness for The Paint Sesh- I was able to stay on budget and celebrate with my family and friends as planned. Chris was on time. He was very professional and patient. They took a few extra canvases for any last minute drop ins and Chris was able to accommodate for an add on in minutes. I truly appreciate it! The cleanup was quick. Our team had a lot of fun, and I got quite a few messages about how nice it was to just "turn off" for a bit at work. I've painted with The Paint Sesh quite a few times now, and can honestly say thanks to Chelz and Chris I've discovered a new outlet for stress. I went looking online in 2018 for a paint and sip service for my friend and I to try. The Paint Sesh caught my eye because of the more colorful vibrant acrylics than the common watercolors I was finding. I prefer vibrant richer color so knew I'd found my service. My friend and I did "So Cal Lighthouse" and I was hooked. I don't consider myself to have any artistic ability at all. I seriously still draw stick figures for people. Chelz was so good about walking us through every step, with encouragement and positivity, that I was amazed I actually painted something I was willing to display, and had a very relaxed time while at the session. Chris was attentively there when I needed more paint or guidance. The two of them make a winning team! Since that first session I've done several others. I've done them with family and solo as well. Currently The Paint Sesh is doing sessions online, which was a big adjustment for everyone, but has been a successful switchover. I've been to many of these "paint lesson" events by different companies and I must say, I was pretty impressed with The Paint Sesh - I honestly think they are my favorite so far. Chelsea and Chris are friendly, fun, and extremely organized. They are easy to follow and very helpful. Another plus for them is they are efficient! A lot of your time isn't wasted waiting for materials or help and when they say we will take a 5 minute break it's exactly that - in 5 minutes they pick right up and keep it moving. I've had other experiences where a lot of time is wasted waiting for more paint to come or a 5 minute break turns into 15 minutes because the class is held up waiting for 1 or 2 people returning from the break late. I was looking for something fun and a little different for my mom's birthday. This was a perfect girls' night out! Chris was a great teacher, the music set the right atmosphere, and we had a great time. This was my first time having a private paint party for my sister's baby shower and the only word I can think of to describe how it all went is AMAZING.
