Angie was a great help in assisting me with creating my "birthday party" event and Gray was a great teacher to provide the knowledge and guidance needed to all of us newbies. He walked us through each of the different types of glass and textures and how to apply the colored glass pieces. We had a separate room and were given a lot of options to choose from for each individual project. Everyone had a great time and had so much fun coming up with creative ideas for their projects. Everyone loved the end results of their pieces! I enjoyed it so much that I'm going back again to do something for Valentine's Day! Yay!!!

Slightly pricey but fair enough, I was excited to order a mini plank for Christmas. The pick up process is non-existent... I privately messaged the Facebook page to learn the process. AR could definitely upgrade this experience by including pick up instructions in the confirmation email. I was given a list of times I could pick up my order. Waited a few days and headed into the shop... nothing was prepared. I had a very small slice of time to pick up my order and unfortunately it took far too long. I would very highly recommend you call ahead to confirm to your order is in fact ready. Sadly, I was hoping for some cute gift packaging... maybe some tissue paper or literally anything besides just the wood and paints. My piece of plank wood does not sit flat and the handles were different than pictured. Overall, an extremely "meh" experience but the ladies who work there are super nice and that's important.

Personalized signs to decorate your house, pillows, yard signs, etc. Think of all the cutest stuff at Home Goods but with your personal touch. Visit their website to pick a workshop to attend. Each workshop has a selection of projects for you to choose from. You enter your name, year, or whatever personal info they need to set up your project. When you arrive all of your supplies and your stencil is waiting for you. You spend the next couple hours working on your creation with the guidance of the owner or other employees, and at the end you have an awesome new piece of art to take home. I am not at all creative but they make it fool proof! The owner Katie and her mom were running the show the afternoon I attended my first workshop. I was nervous to mess something up, but between them and my friend who had attended a previous workshop I was able to create a personalized sign that will go perfect in my living or dining room. (It definitely helped that I was with someone who knew what they were doing. My only critique is that there were times I had to wait for direction or wasn't super clear what I was doing. If you're more patient than me and not afraid to ask questions though, it's really not an issue.) I can't wait to come back and create something for my daughter's room or gifts for my mom and sister. Everything is so cute and I want to do all the projects! I'll be back! Oh yeah, and it's BYOB. :) My friend and I split of bottle of cider as we worked. Seriously, perfect Saturday!

The Oakley location is quite new and has a small retail space in front and a larger class/event space in back. I was walking by one day and decided to stop in to check out the retail offerings. It was fantastic. They carry awesome jewelry, t-shirts, tea towels, notecards and custom wrapping paper all designed by local artists. And I wanted to buy it all. (I didn't.) This is a great place to find something to treat yourself or a lovely gift for a friend. And it is located between Deeper Roots coffee and Aglamesis Brothers ice cream shop, so you can get all kinds of good things while you're in the neighborhood.

I've now done five classes and I'm so excited about his new space in Walnut Hills, which will provide options for all sorts of events. His creativity and imagination is endless and his students benefit as a result. Like the name says, this is not your average paint-n-sip. The drinks are flowing and it's a full bar with beer, wine, and liquor, as well as n/a options. You get guidance from a theme and inspiration photos and images, but you ultimately decide what you're going to paint. Some people choose to recreate an existing piece but many go wild, like I do. The Pendleton Art Center space was brilliant and eclectic and full of color and inspiration. I have high hopes that the Walnut Hills space will be the same and I'll be one of the first ones there. James is a delight. He's supportive and encouraging but absolutely no-nonsense. He will give guidance when requested, or gentle nudges when things go awry (or you're taking too long lol). He's an excellent teacher, an outstanding entertainer, and you feel like you're best friends by the end of the class. Do yourself a favor. They have art gallery to view spotlights on artists and pretty sure they have studio space that artists can rent if they don't have room at home. I have done several of those "paint party" type classes at other venues so this was a great change of pace and I actually preferred this type of class- no stress, no artistic ability needed, and I liked the end result better than any of my other paintings. The instructor, Patricia, was very nice and accommodating, we were offered wine or water upon arrival and then went to the downstairs of the gallery for the class. We arrived early so had the pleasure of walking through the gallery beforehand. It's a beautifully renovated space and had a lot of nice pieces displayed. I would highly recommend RESN8 for one of their art classes or for a gallery visit!

I came to visit my son in Cincinnati and decided to do a mini yarn crawl. I was blown away by this…read moreshop! I meet 2 of the three co-owners, Francine and Lucinda. They made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I felt like we were old friends! They spent time showing me around, explaining their different events throughout the year and invited me back for open Knitting Thursday night. The store had some of the best displays, samples and pattern ideas I have ever seen in a shop. They had many sweaters knit up and labeled which were put in a 20 Sweater Idea workbook. The book contained pictures and all the information for those same sweaters. To help you make one of those sweaters, you can sign up for the workshop for a fee of $50. You can get all the help you need to finish. They have different times during the week scheduled that you can come in and get all the help you need to get the project done for that particular sweater you're making. That continues until you have finished the sweater. Their philosophy is they want to help everyone finish without having to worry about making it to all of the classes for a project, such a good idea - strictly scheduled classes are sometimes hard because you might not be able to make it to all the classes and then you're stuck. They were getting ready for Christmas and they had the best idea! They have at least 27 small Christmas items to either knit or crochet, made as samples for the store with a little picture and number next to each one. Then they have a book with each project listed by number with the pattern and a list of supplies that are needed. What a very creative idea! I wish I lived closer. I would be there every week. The vibe is so, energetic and enthusiastic.Laughter abounds and you can tell the staff all get along so well and enjoy what they're doing!!
