I saw that beyond painting you can also use wheels and make your own stuff. There's a decent selection of things to paint (always the hardest choice) and then a wall filled with different paints and little pictures of what it'll actually look like once glazed. I appreciated the emphasis on how the color will differ based on how many layers you paint it. There's also soooo many stamps and lace and texture type stuff to help you in your design. You pay after finishing and then they'll call you once it's done (for me it was like two weeks later but it was also the holiday season). Very enjoyable time!

The two of them did several pottery painting pieces together while the rest of our group with kids and toddlers explored the play area of the malls. Obviously with pottery needing fired after painting they didn't get to take their pieces home. We have family nearby who will pick up the pieces for us as we are out of towners. If you need them to, they will also ship your finished pieces to you at a charge. This was by far one of our daughters favorite visits we have done in a while. The staff was kind enough to take some pictures of them during their session as well.

There was so much sentimental value because of the time it was made the people who came out make it. It was definitely one big family effort and it was a gorgeous frame and Chelsea went in on her own time and managed to fix it and make it. It's almost perfect. I was so touched that she spent all of her free time and energy trying to fix this frame to make it look good for me to have. However, I've been to a handful of pottery studios and the prices at Cactus Rose are still significantly less than a traditional studio fee. Options are: paint and take home same day or glaze and pick up in a week or two. Pottery Wheel classes are available intimately for $45/person which includes four bowls, glazed and fired in the kiln. Huge shop full of summer camps for the kiddos, pottery retail, fun t shirts and tumblers for purchase and events held often!
