I slept on my experience before writing this review. Yesterday, my 10 year old had their birthday…read moreparty here at Richmond's Paint The Towne. It was a first time experience for myself and several others in attendance. There were 20 people in our party. The party was reserved and paid for over a month in advance for 1:00pm. I arrived at 12:35pm for Maria, the owner, to tell me they weren't expecting us. Shocked, I gave other names that might have been written down since a couple of us had called multiple times with questions for said party beforehand. (Myself, called with questions after paying reservation fee which was...again...over a month before) She told me that the staff had tried contacting us previously to confirm the party and that they'd received no response?? I said "I'm confused, wasn't me paying the reservation fee a confirmation?" I also double checked my call and text log as did the other person who had left a number prior to me paying. She never really cleared that up for me. She wasn't friendly at all. Walked us back to the area I assume was supposed to be for us and in a frustrated manner told me she could work it out. During this time, I stood there wondering what'd happen next as she walked away. After 10 minutes waiting for other people to arrive, she approached me with a clipboard and still clearly frustrated, she asked me the name of the "guest of honor" and how many people would be participating. I pulled up my call log and bank receipt to show her...she looked and said ok it's fine. I began to apologize and explain this was my first time and that after I paid, not once, did anyone I'd spoken with mention another confirmation before the date of party. She cut me off mid sentence and said very brashly "I said it's fine." This is the owner of this place. She was the one to explain to the kids what to do and after that maybe came around 2 more times briefly. (We didn't need anyone to babysit us as the process was simple and there were plenty of adults in our party to assist the kids...so that wasn't an issue) However, nobody explained to me the process of how to or when to pick up our painted pieces. We were there for exactly 2 hours. Total spent from everyone (including 75 dollar reservation fee) was 250.00+. Other details aside, I felt like we were a burden. The kids did enjoy themselves and had a good time so the experience was fun overall. Maria has a wide variety of things to choose from to paint and the space is well decorated, clean and very roomy. The prices aren't horrendous either...In my opinion, it's nice to have so many options that are affordable. Her attitude on the other hand, was very poor. I have never been treated that way by someone I was doing business with. I may return, may not. Somewhat depends on the pick up process for our pieces. I do know I will never book a private event there again.

This place is great! The staff was amazing and very helpful! I will be returning for sure!read more

We used to come here a lot. Even just a couple weeks ago. Today we wanted to celebrate my birthday…read more My mom, daughter and I came in. My mom is very slow due to mobility issues. The lady didn't seem very friendly. Every time we've ever come in we've picked a table. Well not today as I was sitting my mom down the lady told us she had just sat 2 people there. So she told us to move. She wasn't friendly and just not a friendly environment today. My daughter who never says anything asked if we could leave. Very disappointed in our experience. Now looking for a new place to start going to.

5, 10, 15 stars if I could! I LOVE that there's a place like this so close to home. Based on our…read moreexperience, we will be back (a lot!) especially on those gloomy, rainy days that Cincinnati provides. My kiddo loved it and so did mom! We decided to pop in and check this place out on a Saturday morning, unknowing what we were getting ourselves into. We just needed to get out of the house. On the left side of the shop is a wall FULL of unfinished ceramics starting at $7 and going up. You choose what you'd like to paint (we went with a few different items) and then you get started! The kid wall is full of little animal statues like penguins, peacocks, elephants, bears. For the adults there's mug, ornaments, plates. You can add on smaller pieces for $1 or decorate a cute ceramic letter. There's so many different selections that you could come back 10 times and still find something new to paint. They have everything you need as far as paints, brushes, smocks, sponges, stamps. Go at your own pace, use whatever design your heart desires and they glaze and fire it for you. Keep in mind, this process takes one week so you can't take it home right away. Plan for one week if you're giving as a gift. As for pricing, you purchase your item for whatever is written on it and then for kiddos it's $5 flat fee, adults is $7 flat fee on top of your piece. My kiddo painted 3 things and it was under $20. Our finished pieces are so cute and my kiddo treasures hers in her room. Can't wait to go back! AND we snagged a couple gift cards for Mammaw and Nana! I hope Doodlin never leaves!
