SO MUCH FUN!!! I was looking for a fun, new experience activity for my birthday celebration and was so happy to have found this place. Angie was a great help in assisting me with creating my "birthday party" event and Gray was a great teacher to provide the knowledge and guidance needed to all of us newbies. He walked us through each of the different types of glass and textures and how to apply the colored glass pieces. We had a separate room and were given a lot of options to choose from for each individual project. Everyone had a great time and had so much fun coming up with creative ideas for their projects. Brazee adapted to the crazy Covid times and kept us artsy with homemade glass projects! We've been eyeing Brazee for a while and registered for a class before the craziness of 2020 struck. However, they overcame an obstacle and offered the same class as a take home kit! Insert our Mother's Day pendant kit. Pickup and drop off were entirely contact free. They had everything nicely organized so you knew where to drop off and where to pick up your finish product. The take home kit is still offered on their website and include all the materials and instructions. It is quite thorough! If you're artsy, I highly recommend! read more

If you're crafty and want to make art with glass, this is the place to be! Our group could have maybe used a little more direction and supervision by the person there, but we managed all of our individual projects and truly had a great time. I was recently here for a work outing where we each got to make an individual piece. The studio also made an item to display in our office. Coming here was a lot of fun and provided a neat experience for everyone. The pricing was very reasonable and there were a lot of different options for our group members to chose from in our point person. Emma who facilitated the experience for us was extremely helpful and patient throughout the entire process. We purchased few of the take home ornament kits for a weekend activity. Each one was around $25. The instructions were clear and easy to comprehend. You can make the glass pieces as intricate or simple as your heart desires. Placing the tiny pieces was almost therapeutic and relaxing. It surely took my mind off all the craziness in the world right now. I dropped the completed kits back off at Brazee to have them fired. You can also receive and send the glass projects back by mail if you do not want to leave the house. The ornaments turned out stunningly. I look forward to see what projects they will have in the spring and hopefully get back for an in-person class. read more

A great mixed-use space for the arts in Oakley. Brazee Street Studios (its address conveniently located in the name) is in a fully renovated LEED certified building and opened just last year. They offer classes (School of Glass, bead making, mosaics), a gallery, studios and open houses on certain nights (check website for schedule). The building itself is amazing and worth checking out alone, but you can spend lots of time just perusing the galleries and enjoying the different mediums (the wood shop was one of my favorites). read more

Brazee Street Studios is a welcome addition to the Oakley arts scene. Come check out their monthly open studios on the 2nd Friday of the month. Upstairs you can find a variety of artist studios talk directly with local artists & support local art. You can take kilnformed glass classes for all ages and now they have glass blowing studio run by Queen City Glass Arts in the Box studio area, separate building behind the main studio. Participated in their make your own ornament workshop. It was a lot of fun and made for a very unique date night (unique always wins for date nights!). I love that they are taking the mystery out of working with glass. Bead-making, coasters, and more can be made. Many of the classes are geared toward children as well. A great way to expose your child(ren) to a new artform and hobby. I'm definitely interested in taking a few more classes and I've been spreading the word about this exciting new space in Cincinnati. They also have a gallery space that adds a little extra surprise to your visits. I've also heard they have artists' studio space available as well, but don't know much about that. All in all, there is a lot, A LOT, going on. Definitely check it out. read more

Brazee has art classes, but are at times that are not convenient to those who work normal business hours. However, my girlfriends and I decided to take off early for a Friday class that was listed from 3:00-5:00. It took our instructor 45 to take us through the whole thing from beginning to end and that was stretching it out. There is absolutely no way that class could ever take 2 hours, which was a disappontment because I made reservations for a FABULOUS restaurant just around the corner at 5:30. Since we were done so early, we had to find ways to kill time since they didn't even open until 5:30. Boo. The instructor was very friendly and patient. Overall, the class was fun. We made small bowls, but it would be nice if we had more of a variety of colors to choose from. There were 5 colors to choose from, but they were all very earthy and similar. I would go back for another try at something more challenging. read more

As an artist, I'm always glad to see a new studio space, especially one that specializes in varied art forms. The building is a beautiful example of how to rehab and use green energy- the solar panels on the roof can attest to that. I've been to several art-making events at Brazee, and they've been fun and well worth the money spent. Their schedule is ever-evolving, and is one to check out with regularity. I came here as a tagalong on a tour with some fourth graders. It was really cool how much art they fit in one building that I had no idea about! They have a gallery space, plus 20ish studio spaces that artists can rent out and sell out of, AND (the big draw) a glass working school. You can take classes or come in to make pieces of art with glass. We had a couple of demos on cutting glass and marble making, and it was really awesome. The kids loved loved loved putting together their own little medallions and trying out different pieces. The teacher, Emily, was amazing with the kids- so patient and attentive and really nice about enforcing the rules when the kids took off their protective goggles, etc. I would love to come here again- I saw that they have open gallery nights and also classes for the public to come to too! read more

I signed up to make my own tumbler. Cool concept. I paid $50 for the class. I was the only student in the class, which is fine. However, I basically sat there while the teacher made my tumbler. Sure, I 'helped' her rotate the pole at times, but she did everything else. The most upsetting part is that I picked 3 colors for my class. The teacher alone put the colors on my tumbler. When I picked up my finished item only one color showed up. I had no part in adding the colors, so I was quite disappointed that one of their artists couldn't add the colored glass correctly. If I'm going to pay $50 to watch someone make me a tumbler I would hope they would at least know how to add color. Would not recommend. read more

Took our two children to the class expecting a lot more seeing it was $18 (per child). Had to wait for someone who had signed up for the class who was 20 minutes late. In the meantime the teacher told the kids to play in the "garden" outside. After the tardy participants arrived they read a story and put a few colored pieces of glass on a glass tile. That was it, I could have purchased the exact same items (for a few bucks) and done this at home and seen the results of our work in a few hours rather than a week.
