Every time I have visited this Michaels location, I have experienced the best customer service that I have ever had in the Buford area. Not only are the associates helpful, they go above and beyond to help. An associate volunteered to help me shop when my son and daughter were with me and my hands were full. Came to Michaels recently to get a Secret Santa gift for my son who is in High School. He needed some art supplies (colored pencils and a sketchbook of which they had high quality products of both. Michaels is great and has a wide selection of art supplies and supplies for presentations and crafts. Store is well organized and prices are fair. Check out is fast and high tech. I recently had some custom framing done of three very antique baseball gloves. They weren't in perfect condition, but Michael and Jacob of the framing department (Mall of Georgia location) really went above and beyond. They knocked it out of the park. there was some old leather flaking from the inside of the gloves and they got creative to figure out a way to ensure the result was fabulous. Highly recommend them both for skill, service and being great! They deserve a raise! read more

My friend and I came to this location looking for clothing crafts for a concert outfit. Chelsea was amazing in helping us find what we need, knew exactly where everything was, and even provided suggestions on what we should do to elevate our outfits. Thinking we can just use super glue to apply our decors, she pointed us in the direction on the exact adhesive to use for the fabrics we had. read more

I actually like this Michael's a lot. They have so any craft ideas, supplies, nic-knacks, baskets, etc. their holiday section is pretty nice too; If I had younger children again I would be in this store a whole lot more!!!! This store in Buford is always clean and very organized too, which makes me so happy! I can get in, go right to what I need, if I am ever in a hurry... but with this store can you ever be in a hurry?? So much to get excited about! The prices are a little on the higher side, and sales are typically pretty good. BUT, with the high original cost and the sale cost I find myself passing on fun decorating merch more than actually purchasing... not good for the store trying to make a profit. I think the last 3 times I walked out with nothing, but wanted about $150 worth of stuff I wanted to buy. I left sad to put them back. Keep up the great work, but consider costs for all budgets. I received a plastic container that was cracked during shipping. When I brought it to the store, they were able to swap it out for me. The employees are friendly and helpful. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program for coupons and to earn reward points. Due to Covid, employees are wearing masks and plexiglass are installed at the registers. read more

Nearly every aisle is always blocked with boxes of unpacked merchandise, carts full of go-back products, or unchained ladders. Thhis store is a fire code and ADA violation waiting to happen. Don't bother trying to buy anything, you won't be able to get down any of the aisles to get it anyway. read more

This Michaels is a standard format store in size and layout, but because it is tucked away in a fairly empty plaza, it is never as busy as other in town Michaels locations, so it is easy to park and navigate the well stocked aisles. I haven't had much interaction with associates on the sales floor, but the cashiers are adept accepting smartphone coupons and are friendly and reasonably fast even when processing larger orders. read more

I have had hit or miss instances at this location. It is hard to find someone in the store that will assist you at times in locating an item. The cashiers are usually friendly. Items are usually stocked well. Sales signs need to be taken down when they expire. I have seen some that have been left up for weeks. Overall... not bad. read more

Went on a Sunday not to long after store opened. I was so upset with the way my shopping trip turned out. First thing, walked in and 2 store associates looked right me and neither one said hello welcome can we help you NOTHING! So I'm walking around trying to find what I needed I'm having a rather hard time so I walk up to another store associate he sees me about to ask a question he turns and walks off. Some of the things I needed they didn't carry and it was normal craft items! But the few items I did find were so expensive I would not pay that price for them. Still no one ever spoke I walked past several people to me this is not how you should act in the retail business. I have worked in retail many years I know how you should act and that you should always put customers first. As a store associate you should smile, be cheerful, ask customers is there anything you can help them with, if your not going to be helpful and at least act like you enjoy your job then quit. I have never had such a bad store experience! I'm not one to get upset about stuff and I most time do not say anything negative about things but this needed to be pointed out. I do not plan on returning I will take my business to hobby lobby where I know it will be appreciated. read more

I like this location. The staff are friendly, and they don't pester you. The store is tucked away so there's plenty of parking. It's clean, and the layout makes sense. My only complaint is they never seem to have a full store. They usually have every item, but only like one or two. The prices can be a little high. But they always have markdowns, and a clearance aisle. Sign up for their rewards program, and DO NOT enter this store without a coupon. Overall, it's my go to place for craft needs. read more

I took back 4 frames that were the wrong size. Since they were a gift, I did not have a receipt. They gave me a store credit of $2.99 per frames even though they were purchased at $4.99 2 weeks earlier. They said it was because it had been $2.99 previously. To top it off, they didn't have the size frame I needed anyway. So now I am stuck with a store credit for a store that I will not shop in anymore. read more
