In some places I know crocheters aren't always treated right in indie yarn stores, but it wasn't an issue here at all. In fact the big project kit featured in the window (a mood blanket, which I got!) had both knit and crochet patterns. There's also a crochet class offered, but as I'm just here for the week I won't be able to speak to that. I do know that it's right around the corner from a Little Anita's, so if you want to make a day of grabbing lunch and yarn it's easy.

The store is small and a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area, but don't let that fool you -- this is one of the best yarn stores in Albuquerque. Their selection is incredible, and their staff is warm, welcoming and kind. I got lucky and swung by when they were doing a trunk show with local New Mexico yarn dyers, and I got a skein of gorgeous Dye Monkey Yarns, on top of some other yarn I grabbed for a granny square purse. I sincerely wish I had stopped by again before leaving just to hang out and crochet in store; the atmosphere was that good. Next time I'm in Albuquerque, it's going to be very hard to keep me from just hanging out here the whole time and buying a ton of yarn!

Only buying online from now on…read more My brother went to buy some new LiPo batteries for our slashes and was directed to buy batteries the employees claimed would work with our chargers. This was after my brother showed them the old batteries, the store employees claimed there would be nothing wrong. So he spent $150 on two batteries when lo and behold they don't work with our chargers. He goes back for a refund and they have no sympathy for putting us out $150. The same employees only suggest buying the correct chargers for an extra $70 each on top of money we already spent. Awful service and no thought. Bought two batteries off amazon for $40 and couldn't be happier. Good riddance.
