Michael Your Plumber is the only plumber you should use. One side of my kitchen sink had a leaky pipe underneath and my landlord asked me to get 3 estimates. The other plumbing companies I called quoted me $125 and $220. Michael said it would be only $60!! AND, he ended up changing the pieces on both sides of the double sink to prevent future leaks. He didn't charge extra. In fact, he made it very clear that people who charge extra are a pet peeve of his. He was on time, friendly, talkative, knew what he was doing, and even gave my dog a treat. A week later, I got a hand-written postcard in the mail from him, thanking me for using his service! Wow! Had another bathroom issue, this time it was a leaky toilet. After my last experience dealing with my funky bathroom fixtures I didnt even bother trying this one myself. Straight to Michael. He was awesome as usual, had everything going smoothly in minutes! He even stopped by the next week to replace a valve that looked ready to go. The price was perfectly reasonable. Seriously this guy is great. He even had treats for our puppy to keep her from barking at him. He doesn't even have a dog, he just keeps treats for clients that do. Wow. Another plumber had come by, fumbled around for an hour, and told me he couldn't fix a problem with our toilet and that I needed to buy a new toilet for $400. I wanted a second opinion, and Michael fixed it and another toilet in an hr for $90. He was knowledgeable and pleasant and even sent me a postcard that reflected our conversation! Amazing service. Great communication, really reasonable rates, and he's fun and personable! It took him a little over an hour, and then he chatted with us on our porch while he wrote up the invoice. I contacted Michael after experiencing a first visit AND an exorbitant estimate for further work from Albert Nahman Plumbing. Shocked by Nahman's cost and inability to fix a washing machine drainage issue, I texted Michael as a second opinion. He was chez moi within 48 hours (as it wasn't an emergency). He then listened to me, identified the issue, and quickly drew out his thinking with pen and paper allowing me to be part of his process. Within minutes he found the true root of the problem while teaching me what he was doing. Albert Nahman charged $1359 to potentially fix the clog vs. Michael's $120 which ACTUALLY FIXED the clog. Michael was wonderful. He wasn't able to do our large plumbing job but referred us to another plumber that is just as great. The project is in process but when it's done, I'll be sure to review him as well. What topped the cake for me was after Michael looked at our problem he mentioned that for smaller projects he would absolutely be available. I told him that our tub was backing up. Michael is great. About a year ago he installed a toilet for us. He actually showed us that we didn't even need the new toilet, as a different plumber said we did. He showed us there was buildup (cleanable) causing the problems, not a broken toilet. We had him install the new toilet anyway, but I sure wished we had talked to him first. This week, he replaced a broken, leaky pipe under kitchen sink. The job ended up being a hassle as the old pipe threads broke and had to be cut away from inside the connector pipe. But he got it done and thank goodness. He is a decent guy. Very fair prices. Absolutely knows what he's doing. While we hope we don't have to call him again anytime soon, he will always be the first one we call if needed. read more

This guy is great! He really knows a lot. I had discussed repiping the house with another plumber, but Michael did a "backflush" which solved our problem for pennies. He's been here several times and it's always a pleasure. On other visits he's found simple and inexpensive solutions to tricky problems. Michael Your Plumber is one of the great finds I've found on Yelp. Don't be suspicious of all the five star reviews: they're genuine, like Michael.... He first answered my message while out of town, and then came over almost immediately upon returning--on a Sunday! He mentioned that he wanted to check out the situation--our mangled shower fixture. After sussing it out, we agreed upon a time which I missed, not hearing the doorbell as I was in the back of the house. When he responded to my "What happened?" message he was pleasant and not the least bit miffed that he had come over unsuccessfully. He was successful our next date, fixed the mangled shower, and set another time to take a look at our kitchen sink's no hot water issue. Throughout this process, the thing I most appreciated was his honest assessment of the problem, and a strategy to fix it that included various methods if the first prognosis wasn't accurate. His rates are incredibly reasonable. Almost unbelievable. He was here again recently and resolved the kitchen plumbing. We now have hot water again, and man, we are eternally grateful for his prompt scheduling, efficient and super pro skills. My garbage disposal apparently died, and my sink clogged as a result. I called another plumbing service and they weren't available for a full week. I found Michael on Yelp and texted him using the number listed on his Yelp page and he texted back within a few hours - at night, while he was traveling on the other side of the country (!!!) - and he coached me through tripping the breaker on the disposal and unjamming it using a simple Allen wrench. Complete with photos and all. It was fixed in five minutes flat! Michael saved me a week of misery being without a kitchen sink, and he did it out of the goodness of his heart, by text. I offered to pay him for his advice and he said "You're CRAZY if you think I expect any payment...." Michael Your Plumber worked in conjunction with The Plumbing Ministry on a project in our home. In the process of clearing a clog they unknowingly created another clog elsewhere in the system. Because their camera was going back and forth between Michael and them, between jobs, they failed to use it at the end of the job to ensure that they did not create a problem elsewhere in the system. They flushed the toilet, but did not use the camera to make sure that the lines were all clear. As a result a clog developed elsewhere in the system and we had a sewage overflow from the toilet and shower downstairs that caused extensive damage to our home. Just putting this out there to warn the other yelpers. When I first hired Michael Stabile (Michael Your Plumber) I was in a hurry and missed the crucial step of asking if he was licensed. I wasn't looking for the cheapest plumber, I was looking for the best. Since his listing is 5 stars with lots of reviews on yelp I didn't think to do further checking. And because he was so highly rated, I thought he would also bring in good subcontractors, and didn't check on The Plumbing Ministry. A lot of people like Michael because he is nice, easy to work with, and cheap. The Plumbing Ministry is cheap. But as you can see, one mistake can be very expensive. Michael did apologise and pay $100 toward our damages but I was left to fight the Plumbing Ministry until their bonding company paid me most of what I asked for. read more

12 years ago we had a sewer line backup and called a big time franchise rooter service. Short story is they did a poor job and wanted us to spend many thousands more. A friend told us about Michael, and we called him for a second opinion. He fixed it completely for a hundred bucks and we've never had another problem. Since then we've had him back many times. He's installed new pipes for hose bibs and irrigation supplies. He once repaired an ancient shower valve that leaked and spent a lot of time hunting down the parts but only charged us for the time he spent doing the repair. We've recommended him to many friends who all think he's great. He's so popular he gets very busy, so sometimes he takes a few hours to respond, and he can't always come out, but he always recommends someone else to take care of us, and his recommendations are always reliable. He's a Good Guy. We always get a funny postcard from him afterwards. read more

Michael is truly the BEST! Just a REALLY nice guy, helpful to people like me (who know absolutely nothing about plumbing :) and super knowledgeable. The first time I called him in a panic, new to the area, and he raced on over to fix the water that was spewing from my broker sprinkler system. Problem solved in about 1 minute. The second time our toilet was clogged with baby wipes and paper towels, and he came same-day, used his tool and had the clog out in 5 minutes. He even CLEANED the bowl with my toilet brush afterwards! WAY above and beyond his call of duty. I'd recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. read more

Michael is an excellent plumber and is also a very warm and kind person. After each visit he sends me a postcard personally thanking me for using his services. Unlike many other plumbers, Michael always charges very reasonable prices, sometimes even working for free if it's a simple problem that he can fix in a few minutes. He has done a wide variety of plumbing work for me for at least 7 or 8 years now and I am always very happy with his work. He is trustworthy and has never tried to up-sell extra jobs, which is something I fear when hiring anyone for home repairs or services. Very professional, honest, hard worker. My toilet was wrecked and Michael came in and recommended a toto drake toilet and even directed me to the cheapest place to get it, free of charge. He was very punctual on the day of the installation and did a great job. He hauled the new toilet up 2 flight of stairs and the old toilet out. All this at a reasonable price, and it was even fast. The installation looks great, and he also didn't leave a mess behind. I'm very pleased with my new toilet. It's definately about 100x better than the old American Standard toilet that was installed previously. Like he said, the flushing system is designed alot better. And it'll definately save you money on the long run. Would definately use his service again and recommend it to others. read more

Michael is a great plumber. I have hired him for several times in the last few years. He's snaked well-clogged drains, and recently did a handful of odd small jobs (leaky faucets, flex-pipes, and bad washers). He was able to do everything quickly and affordably. Michael is prompt, knowledgeable, and very responsive (I used to live in his neighborhood, so he'd often be there the same day!). His prices are much less than other rooter-type companies. He communicates clearly if a repair is needed, and will draw a picture of the part I should get. On more than one occasion, he's made a quick fix that will help prevent future backups, and he has not charged extra. And yes, he sends out awesome "thank you" cards for the business. read more

Does he even need another review? Well, why not. My ancient sink drain pipe decided to quit on a weekday evening. Sink flooded, general sadness and yuckiness. I started calling plumbers at 5 pm, four plumbers total. Michael was the first to get back to me, at 8:30 pm, and came the next day at noon. He cleaned out the drain pipe, which harbored a new life form, and modified the pipe so its crazy angle will not lead to more drain tragedies in the future. The price was very reasonable, and the work was great. Somehow, during this plumbing crisis, we managed to have an entertaining chat about a whole bunch of stuff.
