Although I've only seen Dr. Yang for dental care three times, he is, by far, the best dentist I've ever had. As I read the other reviews, I saw that almost everyone else felt the same way. I'm suspicious of the one negative review, which describes Dr. Yang as uncaring ... because that couldn't be further from the truth. Perhaps said reviewer works for a competing dentist!!). Dr. Yang has always followed up with a phone call in the evening after I have had any dental work beyond a routine cleaning. Last week, he put in temporary overlays and scheduled me to come in next Monday for the permanent overlays. Well, yesterday (Friday) I was feeling sensitivity on those teeth and thought that perhaps the temporary overlays might have come out. His office was closed, so I left a message for him. He called back shortly and said just to be safe, I should come in and have him check it out. I told him I thought i would be fine until my scheduled appointment and didn't want him to have to come into his office on his day off. He insisted it was no problem. He followed up by phone after checking with the lab to tell me the permanent overlays were ready, so he'd just take care of it all at once. I met him at his office at 4:30, and he spent nearly two hours on the procedure, making sure everything was perfect. BTW, the temporary overlays had not come, just loosened up a little, hence the sensitivity. Bottom line: This was his day off, and he is a family man with young kids, so he went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out. If that isn't caring ... I don't know what is. My fiancé and I found Dr Yang after some unpleasant and frustrating experiences with other dentists in OC. We chose Dr Yang based on his excellent reviews and his impressive credentials (USC School of Dentistry.) Dr Yang has replaced 2 bridges for my fiancé who is a somewhat nervous patients. He also did multiple fillings for me. His work was skillful and unlike some dentists who seem to only care about the money, Dr Yang truly cares about his patients. Dr Yang's staff is extremely professional and the office is meticulously clean. I took my young adult daughter in there for a chipped tooth. We had a regular dentist but I thought I should take her to who our orthodontist recommended for a chipped tooth He did a wonderful repair and we were quite pleased. Yes, he has a kind wonderful staff, and he is a nice man. However, he is not truthful. Once my daughters tooth was repaired, they suggested she come back for cleaning and xrays. We did, and she was told she needed extensive cleaning which would take place over 3 pricey visits. Then we were told she had 2 cavities. I was really surprised by all that, so I made a phone call to our regular dentist. I took her back to our dentist and she did not need the extensive cleaning and MOST IMPORTANTLY she did NOT have 2 CAVITIES that needed to be filled. Also I paid a portion as my insurance would cover the remaining. Well, they disposed my payment and tried to charge me twice. When I looked around in the office and saw all the kind people going in there, many of them elderly. It hurts me to think how he is ripping them off by advising them they need services that they do not need. Shame on him, please get a second opinion on any work needed. read more

Dr Yang came highly recommended. I immediately had a great conversation and sparked a friendship with the kind and caring Mary, at the front desk. The crew who work by Dr Yang's side were incredible, kind, and fun to talk to. Dr Yang was caring, explained things, and really took time to listen and help me. Only once in a while do you get an incredible Dr who will hand write a thank you note, give you a return call, or text you late into the night to assist with a problem. Dr Yang referred me to Irvine Endodontics, where Dr Jimmy Pham was a great help with my problems. In the end, a molar had to be extracted, being unsalvagable. Upon entering the office one can feel the general care and hospitality right from the get-go because you are instantly greeted with caring smiles. Snacks and beverages are offered while you're in the waiting room. I myself am a huge coffee drinker so it was great to see they had a Keurig with a great selection of delicious coffee flavors. For many it can be a nightmare as you lie there having your teeth worked on, but here you can eliminate the noise of the instruments being utilized as you tune into your favorite Netflix show or movie because they have a t.v. and a pair of headphones in each room. It goes to show you just how much they go out of their way to make the visit as comfortable as possible for their patients. It definitely made my visit more relaxing.
