I had a small nagging pain in my ankle for several weeks. I finally decided to see a pediatrist. Dr. Wynn barely touched my ankle and then got up and told me that it was really bad. I needed to stay off of it for weeks and don't do anything. I told him that would be hard because I was going on vacation soon and I also have a small child to take care of. He told me that I couldn't lift my child and should stay at the hotel the whole vacation and drink tequila. I was a bit in shock, my ankle didn't hurt much, it wasn't swollen and it didn't seem like a huge ordeal. I kept asking questions and he started asking me questions in a very condescending tone that brought me to tears. He started to use fear tactics saying that I needed an MRI ASAP and until then I shouldn't do anything because my tendon might snap. I asked more questions and he felt my foot for the second time for a split second and said "see you are in so much pain I can't even move your foot" I tried to tell him that it didn't hurt at all but he cut me off mid sentence. He then sold me a giant $350 boot and had me schedule an MRI. I wasn't allowed to take the boot off, not even for showers. I went to another pediatrist the next day, he spent a lot of time examining my foot and asking questions. Told me I had minor tendonitis, gave me a $35 ankle brace and told me to apply ice at night. My ankle significantly improved in a weeks time while I was hiking in the mountains of Colorado. I've had a slew of health issues over my life and have seen many doctors. I have NEVER been treated so poorly. I'm not sure what his motivation to use fear tactics on me other than monetary gain or he gets a kick out of freaking people out. I would not recommend Dr. Wynn to anyone unless they are your worst enemy. A final touch, after paying for this insanely expensive and unneeded boot, I continue to receive bills in the mail. I only get answering machines when calling and last time I tried to enter their facility to speak to someone in person (around 11/2020) the doors were locked with a sign saying you could only get in with an appointment, and I wasn't foolish enough to do that again. read more
