When I first went for my initial consultation, I was so scared. I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that I was under a lot of stress and pain due to my injured foot. I wasn't sure what was really wrong, or how bad my injury was, nor how I could afford any fractures at the moment. Due to covid, I have lost my job and don't have any health insurance to help me out. The thought of everything being out of pocket with no job freaked me out. However, once there, Dr. Bodeker eased my mind off and worked with me. He completely understood my situation and never made me feel bad about anything. He assured me that things will get better and that we will pull through this. As of now, I'm about 6-8 weeks into my fractured foot injury and still healing. It left a rather large hole where my foot lands when walking - the worst place possible. Every two weeks Dr Miles would have minor surgery removing the callus that would develop over the wound. This would allow new skin to develop instead of deep calluses. This is deliberate and painstaking work to heal a complex wound in a bad place. This was outstanding work from a doctor that knows and understands his role as a physician. I'm grateful for his work to not only for caring for a bad wound but to heal a wound that few would take the time and effort to accomplish. I believe he's one of the best at what he does and I have great respect for his work. The real win is that Dr. Long left nothing to chance; he took the time and invested his total attention to my pain/problem.
