I've been trying to get my medicine refilled since before Christmas and here it is the end of January and still nothing. Went to the new office and still no prescription called in. Looks like I've got to find a new doctor. Terrible treatment to loyal patients. By the way, I called the emergency line 7 weeks after a c-section when I was bleeding through pads and puppy pads on the bed and the doctor on call told me if I was that worried about it then I should just go to the ER, without so much as a concern to call my primary doctor. Within 48 hours I was on life support with Leukemia, so yeah thank you for wonderful service.

One word: AMAZING!…read more And I must say, after reading the reviews on here and Google, I was more than TERRIFIED to say the least. So, I went in with the "reviews" on my mind. I have been a patient of Care for Women [primarily at the Kingwood location] since 2008 after moving back to Houston, and my experiences with both locations have been nothing less than professional, warm, caring, and courteous. My first doctor [Dr. Feuer, the unbelievable gentleman who ensured my health with the greatest of care throughout my entire pregnancy to delivery of my daughter to all all-woman exams] recently retired -which, for anyone who knows the agony of 'letting go' of familiarity can be devastating. But, he and his assistant were always amazing, and our family will always be grateful to them. After learning of his retirement, one of the assistants at the Kingwood location highly recommended Dr. Turco to me as his replacement. I'm one who is always skeptical to change about any and everything, and hate having to choose from too many options...you should see me trying to decide on a restaurant for a dinner out...LOL. [I digress]...at any rate, I said okay...did some research and kept my appointment to meet my new OB/GYN. (Fingers crossed) Upon entry to the Atascocita location, since it was the only location that had the time I appt. time [8:30AM] I needed, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist. She gave me the documents I needed, answered my questions, and assisted me quite efficiently. The wait time from arrival to being received to an exam room couldn't have been more than 10 to 15min. Perfect! Note: I observed the other patients in the waiting area -some who were noticably expecting, others who appeared to be post-menopausal...all of who were just as pleasant and comfortable with the services as I was. On to the visit: Stephanie, Dr. Turco's assistant...incredibly kind and patient. She told me who she was, took my blood pressure, and informed me the doctor would be in monetarily. [Great CUSTOMER SERVICE to a patient [me] who is still a bit nervous to meet the new doctor. Moments later, in walks a smiling, happy, and insanely PROFESSIONAL Dr.Turco! In nutshell, Dr. Turco was AMAZING! We spoke about my medical history, talked about how great Dr. Feuer was as well as how much he is missed, and completely dismissed ALL of my anxieties about my visit. Well-woman exams are awkward enough when you know there's a medical expert "seeing" all of you better than you can, but Dr. Turco made the visit comfortable. She answered all of my questions, sent my BCP prescription sent to my pharmacy, and had me leaving the facility happy! To close: The cashier was kind...settled my account and I was on my way back to summer vacation! All in all, as an educator and former employee in the retail industry, I am all about excellent service and knowledge. This office staff and doctor delivered on all accounts. I look forward to my next visit when the time comes for my [future] husband and I to have more children. Every experience, physician, staff team member, patient, etc. may be different. Had a 10:20am appointment I didn't get into a room till 11:30 and then waited another 20mins for the dr to come in. I really didn't get an understanding or answers to the reason why I got a referral from my original dr since my estrogen was low. Overheard other ppl complaining about the wait times and the reception said sorry we over booked the drs. The appointments and wait time is a joke here don't bother unless you wanna wait almost 2 hours from start to finish.

Everyone was nice and the doctor asked me tons of helpful questions, explained everything she was doing and why, and answered every question I had. I have never had a better experience anywhere else. I really needed the appt. so I finally called and the woman on the phone explained to me that it was a new system. Ok, fine. Shit happens. I get in, see my lady, she's awesome as usual, I get what I need and get out. This time they give me a secure login so I can email my doctor and see my medical records and everything. Sweet. A couple days later I have some concerns about the medications that I was prescribed so I emailed my doc. They say please allow 3 days for a response........I emailed Friday.....It's now Thursday. Nothing. Ok, seriously. W.T.FFFFFFF. I don't like this. At all. Hence the reason I give them two stars. To add to that, I was talking to my recently pregnant girlfriend and she was complaining that her obgyn wasn't calling her back with some test results. I asked her where she goes and WHAT. DO. YOU. I barely had a 12 hr notice when they called to inform me that they were not in network with my PCP due to not being in network with my insurance plan. That's something that they should have found out when making the appointment-given i was waiting for it for weeks. They also mentioned if I wanted to pay out of pocket it would be $600 for the visit. Why would pay that, I have 2 different insurance plans? I called to cancel the appointment and of course they were trying to charge another $25. I just dont recommend this care to anyone. Find someone else. They will charge you for anything here and on top of that, this whole experience was a red flag. i don't believe they even care about their patients based on my experience.

During the exam, I had a concern about what I believed was a "hemi" (not to be too graphic). Dr. Torres agreed and prescribed me a prescription strength of Prep H. Unbeknownst to me... and apparently to Dr. Torres, it was not a "hemi" but a tumor. I was soon after diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. In my opinion, I would think an OB/GYN sees many "hemies" and I've been advised by surgeons that there is no similarity in appearance between a "hemi" and a tumor. Had I not continued searching for answers, who knows if I would be here today. Very dismayed and disappointed.
