This is a review for Catering / Sandwiches ordered from Michael V's for a tailgate party we had a few weeks ago. Normally we break out the Grills and cook up a storm for Football or Concerts at the Meadowlands Met Life Stadium events but with limited time and doing this all on my own, I decided the easiest way to do this would have some casual catering done. Recommended highly by family and friends I gave Michael a call and asked for some trays to feed 25 to 30 people. What I received was nothing short from Spectacular. Ended up with 3 Trays of Sandwiches an 1 platter of appetizers. Appetizer platter was All fresh cheeses, Mozzerella, peppers, hot peppers, pepperoni, soppersata, etc presented nicely. Everything was plentiful, fresh and the Hot Peppers if you like that thing was to die for. Trays were 1 Each of Italian Subs, Turkey / Roast Beef Subs / and fresh chicken cutlets with fresh arugula, roasted peppers and olive oil. All the bread was fresh, the sandwiches over stuffed and fresh cold cuts while the Chicken Cutlets were such a big hit it looked like a pack of wolves went through that tray. All and all more than enough food for 30 Plus people, with stuff left over. Price points are unsurpassed. I've experienced some of their Hot Tray's at family events and can say that these are equal to the quality and presentation presented for my order. All and all simply stated if you need something of this nature DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS BRAVO!!!! read more

This was my first time having a party catered, I usually prepare food myself or have family help and bring dishes. I ordered from this place for my daughters graduation party. They were on point with everything from ordering to delivering. The food was a hit and people kept asking where I ordered from. It was so good that I catered two weeks later for my parents wedding. Now that I found a good cater, I might just never prepare my own food for a party again. read more

Zero star ! Food is horrible and very expensive! My husband got 2 Taylor ham and cheese , small fries 1 egg salad sandwich, 40 dollars ! The bread was horrible and was so sloppy the sandwiches ! I can't believe they call themselves catering! read more

Wonderful family-owned restaurant with warm friendly service and amazing food. It's my go-to spot for all my catering needs. I know I can count on the order being ready and scrumptious. Our favorites are the stuffed peppers, seafood salad, and parmigiana dishes. It's all great and well worth the ride from Wayne. read more

BEWARE!!!! The owners are very nasty and the food is disgusting. The parking situation is horrendous. There are far better restaurants in the area that know how to take care of its customers. Even after I said I was a returning Iraq Veteran the owners attitudes were even worse. I couldn't believe the way my family and I were treated. I think they may even be racist pigs. read more

Michael V's has been around since I was a child. I've gone here with my family and it brings back tons of good memories and good food. Actually I'm thinking about going here now, lol. Even the waitress whose there mostly there on weekends knows me as she watched me grow up. It's very family friendly. You can easily have a great breakfast or lunch for 2 and leave a decent tip with 20$ or less. They have homemade specials everyday and I think that's what sets this place apart from so many other restaurants. The food is homemade. I love their home fried potatoes. It's a huge disappointment when it's passed lunch and they may have run out for the day but that's my fault for not getting their earlier. I also like to create my own sandwiches and Michael or whoever is cooking, makes it exactly how I asked for it. They do have great Taylor, egg and cheese sandwiches. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had .. By far best place around for breakfast and to get Italian food catered this is the place to hire. I don't know what Norman W is talking about because they have their own parking lot and the owner is one if the friendliest people I've ever met, so I'm thinking he has the wrong place. Best Taylor Ham Egg & Cheese around! For lunch I recommend the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich with Broccoli Rabe, Fresh Mozzarella & Roasted Red Peppers. Catering is also excellent - love the Prosciutto & Mozzarella and Cheese platters! Michael V's Italian Hot Potatoes are to die for & are the perfect comfort food with an added spice. Expired Food!? I went there this morning for a valentines breakfast with my girlfriend and the waitress gave me an expired orange juice. I looked at the date because it looked brown. I kindly asked for a new one and she put the old one back in the fridge and handed me a new one. I said thank you I appreciate it and she didn't even acknowledged me or looked my way or smiled, just walked away. We both ordered a grilled cheese and the cheese smelled sour. I ordered a cheese burger, with letus and tomatoes. My cheese burger had no lettuce or tomatoes, tasteless and greasy. We asked for a to go bag because we couldn't finish the food and didn't want to be rude. The waitress brought us used foil with grease and food stuck on it and a paper bag. I went to pay and the waitress was on the phone for over 15minutes having a personal conversation right in front of us. Overall we did not enjoy our time and I don't know in how long this place has gotten a review but I'm astonished that it has anything higher than 3stars. It's 2020 and this place is due for an inspection. read more

I don't know if these other people meant to review a different place. Michael V's is the best breakfast AND lunch it is actually homemade and tastes that way too! I even prefer their catering over my own uncle's catering business. Any party I have Michael V's caters and I am happier each time. The entire staff is always friendly and welcoming so I am not sure how/why the word "abusive" is being tossed around. Do yourself a favor and ignore customers that were probably in a bad mood to begin with over something else. And about the parking, it's Belleville! Park on the street! read more
