I must say the bulk of my experience with Dr Sinkins was nothing short of a nightmare. He worked on an old crown I had and in his rush to finish, he worked in my mouth while I had an on going infection and cause me the most serve pain I had ever experienced. While he half heartily apologized for not giving me a stronger antibiotic he was quick to collect the almost $2,000. out of pocket. Long story short - the crown ended cracking after a few month and Dr. Sinkins response was this can happen with an old crown. It would have been nice to know that fact before hand. I strongly suggest you save yourself pain and suffering and expense and seek dental care somewhere else. read more

I was away from NYC for 7 years and when i got referred to Dr. Sinkin - i didn't have any expectations - just wanted to find someone i liked and trust. Well now i am home for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. Check ups are easy and great not that i have many cavities - I have done a few other procedures with him - the teeth whitening he does is GREAT!!!!!!!!!But the teeth whitening isn't why i think he is a good dentist bottom line he cares about his patients! For example - I had a bite plate made by a dentist in San Francisco - I told Dr. Sinkin i had a bite plate that didn't feel comfortable - as well as telling him I was annoyed that it wasn't comfortable and he asked that i bring it in - and he adjusted it to fit my mouth. Being that I am not a dentist so my knowledge base isn't on the same level with his - he could have told me to have a new one made and charged me an arm and a leg - I wouldn't have known - instead he adjusted it and made it work. Now in my eyes that is someone who is cares - who is looking out for my best interest not just a way to make an extra buck. With a dentist like this - I feel like I am home and even if i moved to another part of the country Dr. Sinkin is one of the reasons I would come into NYC to go to my dentist.... read more

I went in to my dentist's office for a routine filling. Afterwards, my molar was sensitive and I experienced pain when chewing. I went back in for two adjustments and the tooth just got worse. I am a total hypocondriac, so I was pretty upset. I asked my friends for a new dentist recommendation - got Dr. Sinkin's name - and Thank God. His receptionist, Barbara, spoke to me on the phone for over ten minutes and gave me advice. Dr. Sinkin fit me in for an appointment and he immediately located the problem - a spot on my tooth where all the enamel had been worn away by constant drilling. I was terrified (I don't have dental insurance) and frustrated, so I started to cry in the chair like a big baby. Dr. Sinkin stayed with me in the room, comforted me, and told me everything was going to be fine. He's seen me several times to check on the tooth, and when I call to follow up he always gets on the phone to talk to me directly. Everyone on staff here is helpful and sweet. I have been Dr. Sinkin's patient for over 10 years. Before finding him, I had an extensive amount of dental work completed by various dentists. I truly believe that Dr. Sinkin saved my teeth. Over the years, Dr. Sinkin has treated cavities, root canals and necessary extractions. None of the teeth he ever treated needed to be cared for again (no do-overs). Amazingly, since seeing him, I don't seem to need as much dental care as before. I feel that those facts alone prove what a talented and honest dentist he is. Dr. Sinkin is a perfectionist. Best Dentist EVER! The entire office staff is fantastic. I was having major work done on my two front teeth over a year ago and the dentist I was using just didn't have the experience so I went to see Dr. Sinkin and he performed a miracle on the two most visible teeth in my mouth. There is no way you could tell that they are not my natural teeth. He worked so hard because he knew how important it was to me. The hygienists in his office are also amazing... they were so kind to me throughout my many visits with that procedure and are always super friendly, following up on the small talk we'd engaged in during my previous visit. I was just there today and got a nice little session of acupuncture while I was having my regular cleaning done because my jaw has been killing me recently. It felt markedly improved when I left. Awesome dentist! Clean office. The most thorough cleaning I ever got. I was going to a different dentist all my life who had outdated equipment. A coworker referred me to Dr. Sinkin and in one visit, they scrapped off cement that was still on my teeth from years ago when I had braces that my old dentist never mentioned. They also gave me a prescription and special toothbrush to clean my back left tooth that was always hard for me to reach and was softening. When I had asked my old dentist about the back tooth, he told me most people can't get back there! He is a true perfectionist who puts the long-term health of your teeth before everything else. His staff is wonderful and personable.
