I have to say I can't recall how I found them, but the reviews are consistently amazing and I can echo the same feedback. The dentist isn't always the most fun or exciting place to be. Dr. Gedz' offices are both very clean, comfortable, easy to visit offices by Grand Central and Rockefeller Center. The practice is always very flexible with booking appointments and have friendly receptionists and dental hygienists. I have never had a bad experience with anyone here and it is nice to know they create an excellent patient experience. As an added bonus they are almost exactly always on time, which isn't always something I can say about a doctor's office! :)

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so unbelievably frustrating that I feel obligated…read moreto warn others. My appointment with Dr. Anna Radziwon at Rockefeller Cosmetic Dentistry was scheduled for six months in advance. I arranged my schedule and even flew into town specifically for it--only to arrive and find out that she simply did not show up. The excuse given was that they couldn't reach my cell phone. What makes it completely unacceptable is that no other effort was made to contact me. I had an alternate phone number on file that was never used. I received no email, no voicemail on my backup number, and not even a basic courtesy letter. It's hard to believe that a professional office would rely on a single method of communication and then just give up. What's even worse is the complete lack of accountability afterward. After Dr. Radziwon had known for six months that I was travelling to NYC specifically for this appointment, Dr. Radziwon still made zero effort to reach out--no apology, no explanation, no attempt to reschedule or make things right. That level of disregard for a patient's time, money, and effort is beyond unprofessional. The cost of treatment here is extremely high, which might be understandable if it were matched by quality care and professionalism--but it absolutely is not. The service I experienced was disorganized, careless, and frankly unacceptable. The price versus the level of service is completely mismatched. For what patients are expected to pay, the bare minimum should be reliability and communication, and Dr. Radziwon and the office failed on both counts. This was a complete waste of time, money, and effort, and one of the worst experiences I've had with any healthcare provider. I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Anna Radziwon and Rockefeller Cosmetic Dentistry to look elsewhere.

So I powered through the cold and found the little 3 room office. Dr. Towbin has been in this office since 1969 (see photos for his mugshot), that's some time! He's a very straightforward guy and helped determine that my issue was with my sinuses not my teeth. I'm not a regular patient but I thought his staff was solid and he was knowledgable and generally interested in his patients. Seems like a solid pick for a dentist.

Then I went to sf to a very high rated dentist (All Smiles) and they said I had none. Also they misquoted me on how much the cleaning would cost (ended up being more) and they add a cc surcharge without telling you (pro tip: you can avoid this by asking to pay via Zelle) The good: they helped (mostly) get rid of my open lock jaw! (tmj) I suffered a while for it so it was such a relief when it was mostly gone (only 1 relapse since and it's been almost a year). Also, their stuff is very high quality. Like their mouth guard cases and their free toothbrush goodie bags. They're also very flexible on rebooking. Had to do that many times because of my hectic schedule and that was my bad. Extremely disappointing and misleading billing experience. I was told that they did, and I was explicitly assured that if there were any reason my insurance would not cover the services, the office would let me know before I came in. Their website also indicates that they accept MetLife PPO. I also specifically asked about the cost of the services beforehand. During my appointment, the dental hygienist was supposed to inform me about an additional $395 charge but "forgot." I was only informed about this charge when I went to check out. At that point, I was pressured to pay the $395 and was repeatedly assured that my dental insurance would cover 80-100% of the costs. I have now found out that the claim was submitted as out-of-network, despite my having specifically confirmed my insurance status with the office beforehand, and my insurance ultimately covered none of the $395. What is most frustrating is that I made a point of calling ahead specifically to avoid exactly this situation. Had I been told that the provider was out-of-network or that I could potentially be responsible for hundreds of dollars, I would not have proceeded with the treatment. Patients deserve accurate information about both insurance network status and out-of-pocket costs before treatment, not a surprise $395 charge at checkout followed by assurances that insurance will cover it when that turns out not to be the case. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and will be telling my friends, family, and anyone I know looking for a dentist not to use this practice. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker protection as well as the Better Business Bureau over these fraudulent and misleading practices.
