Just completed a mortgage refinancing using Amerimac. The things I look for in a mortgage broker…read moreare low interest rates, straight talk, and no surprises at signing. Amerimac provided all three. The loan offered by Amerimac was among the lowest I could find on the Internet. Compared to the "streamlined" refinance offered by the servicer of my old loan, mine has a 0.5% lower rate and $5,000 lower closing costs. The now arduous documentation process went smoothly, and the terms, rate, and conditions of the loan at signing were exactly as promised. This is a family-owned and operated business; you are able to work with and talk directly to the same person for the entire loan process. My loan was handled by Ray J, the son of the founder. I like lots of information and Ray was accommodating, answering in detail all questions I asked and sending copies of HUD-1, appraisal, and many other documents at appropriate times during the process. I will definitely use Amerimac for any future mortgage loans and would particularly recommend them to home buyers and owners with excellent credit looking for low rates and a trouble-free refinance.

We were looking for our first home, so we were coming from a place of minimal experience with mortgages and the processes around them. From the very beginning, Shannon was friendly and full of information, filling us in on different things to do at different steps of the process. He provided information about important topics like property taxes, homeowner's insurance, the escrow and closing process, and more. He was also very transparent about how we would be working together, and what would be good for me to read up on for my own growth and understanding of the process. We very much felt like we were on a team. Each of the things that we needed from Shannon were delivered in a timely manner, with clear and direct communication, like a pre-approval letter, appraisal coordination, and a good rate on our mortgage. When we finally went into escrow for a home, we ended up with a small window of two weeks to close. Shannon let me know that if we all hustled, we could make it work. Everyone on his team was on top of things throughout that period, reaching out whenever they needed something, and handling the rest cleanly. We were able to close on time, which was a huge relief! From there, Shannon offered to keep an eye out for opportunities for refinances down the road, and we intend to continue staying in touch with him and his team. We will definitely be recommending him to others!

We planned on using him a 3rd time when we relocated to a new house and he suggested that we look into obtaining a loan from the builder of our new home to see if they had any incentives. We ended up sharing the numbers and details of the other loan with Shannon and he told us that we would be crazy not to take the other offer. This meant that he was going to lose out on our business and it just goes to show that Shannon is a man of integrity!!! Hard to find people that do the right thing no matter the cost nowadays! Go with Shannon and Life Source if you are looking for someone you can trust!

Matt is my go-to guy for any home loan. Before I met him, I used to shop around and have multiple…read morebrokers compete just to make sure I was getting the best rate. With Matt, I don't have to play that game anymore. I can call him knowing I'm getting one of the most competitive rates available. He's not trying to pad the rate or make extra money by adding unnecessary spread--he's straightforward and transparent. I've also learned that when you're buying a home, getting the loan closed is priority #1. A slightly lower rate doesn't matter if the deal falls apart. Matt understands that and knows how to get deals across the finish line. On our most recent purchase, we ran into a major appraisal issue late in escrow that required switching to a different loan product. I honestly thought the deal was dead. Matt somehow found us a new lender, secured an even better rate, and got everything closed within an incredibly short timeframe. It felt like he pulled a rabbit out of a hat. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my financing. Beyond being excellent at what he does, he's just a genuinely great guy to work with. He makes what is usually a stressful process enjoyable, and I recommend him without hesitation.
