How is it possible that the first time I heard of P3 Magic Theater was 5 days ago? I guess I may never be able to answer that, but I have already remedied my lack of knowledge of the local magic scene. I went to p3magictheater.com and checked out their event list. On Tuesdays they invite magic talent from all over the country for a show. You can buy $5 tickets on line (and they are only $5 no service fees or tax). The other option is you can arrive early and wait in line on High Street and take your chance that you will get a seat. This option is completely free. Doors open at 7pm, after the ticketed guests, it is first come, first serve for the first 50 patrons. The theater is a very intimate setting. The show does start at 7:30pm promptly. After you are checked in, you enter into the theater. There is a small bar set up to your left. ALL drinks and snacks are complimentary. Let me say that again, all drinks are free. So again, how did I not know or hear about this place before?? The show we attended was headlined by a magician straight out of Franklinton, Erik Tait, even though they invite top magicians from all over the country. I'm going to be honest, I went into this show truly skeptical. I mean how is it possible I have never heard of this place if it is that good of a place in Columbus. Well folks, I was blown away!!! Erik Tait and Dan Harlan (magician and host) blew my mind, multiple times!!! I loved every minute of the show. I can't wait to go back and see other magicians. I'm certain your experience will depend on the quality of the show / magician, but we were totally lucky to see two amazing acts!!!! Check them both out when you get a chance.

We returned tonight and ticket prices had increased to $20 (still a great deal) but the experience has CHANGED! No more alcohol or free drinks at all, no more close up magic as you walk in, and the show itself was VERY different. It started with 2 burlesque performances (NOT ADVERTISED), and got immediately political which seemed to shock everyone because we all expected a magic show and our group and others included parents and adult children so a bit of an awkward vibe. Next they introduced a small musical act which was great, but again, not expected. Finally they did bring up a magician who did a great job, however we were disappointed because we expected it to be a full magic show. I hope in the future the description will be clearer when purchasing tickets so customers know what they're getting into.

My nephew is obsessed with Batman, and although the price initially seemed a little steep ($150 for 30 mins) it was more than worth it. We had the party at a Glow Putt place in Gahanna and asked our entertainer in advance if he would play putt putt with him, and he happily agreed. Batman arrived on time, about 10 mins before the birthday boy, and waited for his arrival. When my nephew came in and laid his eyes on Batman he was ECSTATIC. (It actually brought a tear to my eye seeing how excited he was and how real it was for him.) My nephew and Batman set out to putt putt, and Batman made him feel like he was the only kid in the building. He gave him his undivided attention as they chatted, joked around, and golfed like they were the best of friends. It melted all of our hearts seeing them having such a wonderful time together and how in tune Batman was with him. This experience was just so much more than we could have ever hoped for, and it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend AFE- and especially who plays Batman. He was such a nice, professional guy, and we absolutely loved him.

It was easy to set up and pay for by phone. We received a confirming telephone call from the "performer" a few hours before the scheduled appearance. An hour before I called the restaurant to let them know. "Elvis" was right on time, led a happy birthday sing-along, spoke with everyone and presented party beads and balloons to the "birthday girl." We were very satisfied with how easily it was handled, that it was delivered as advertised and on time. Thank you, "Elvis!"

His fees are more than reasonable and each kid attending got to learn a trick and get a prop and the twins got their own magic kit (which he produced himself!) I would not hesitate to hire him for any party or group - if he's free, we will probably book him for a school assembly next year!
