It was busy on the street prior to doors opening but we got through security quickly. I wish that they had streamlined the lobby area more because we had to wait for every group to be led to their seats. This caused a major backup in the small lobby and it was difficult to get around. Once we got to our seats we were able to clearly see the stage and enjoy the view. The seats were vintage and comfy enough. The gold accents everywhere were beautifully classic. Getting down to the bathrooms was a bit challenging with all of the stairs, and the women's restroom had openings on both sides so it was difficult to tell who was next in line. There was a small medical emergency during the show and the staff handled the entire situation swiftly, calmly, and safely. I was very impressed with this theater and can't wait to come back to see another show!

He created a consistent sonic spatial field across all the songs. I had scheduled an album release show for two days after we finished tweaking the last mixes, so there was a real crunch for the mastering. Chris came in here and worked swiftly to make sure my EP sounded sharp and consistent, and he delivered it next day, as promised. Lucky for him and all our guests, I found Miriam Weber Brown, who graciously agreed to the last-minute gig, and proceeded to knock us out. Ms. Weber Brown, who can be found at www.columbusharpist.com, made our night. Her repertoire is extensive, and many of her selections are sampled on her website, so potential clients can get a preview of her talent. In addition, she was more than happy to add several favorite tunes to her extensive collection, so that my parents could have everything they wanted. Her range includes classical, show tunes, pop, rock, jazz, big band, and so much more, and her magical fingers make each song sound as if the original artists composed it for her harp. The harp itself is gold, and drew a stream of party guests to her corner of the room, where she happily answered questions as she played. I had explained in advance that her role would be to provide background music during the entire event, and she was so easy to work with on this. Miriam is charming and graceful, and she is not a diva. Even before she played for us, she was quick to respond to my constant stream of messages. Miriam has performed at public and private events throughout the Columbus area, to rave reviews from brides, restaurateurs, and more. In addition to playing as a soloist, she also works closely with a flutist to offer an additional option. Her rates are competitive and when a restaurant glitch added an extra hour to our event, she discreetly came to me and offered to play on...a most welcome encore for only a small additional fee, and worth every penny. I can't imagine how her fingers felt after four hours of playing with only two short breaks, but the smile never left her face. To answer the obvious, she is wildly talented, and over a month later, our guests are still raving about what she added to our evening. Miriam loves what she's doing and that joy flows out in her music. Brava!

My family definitely felt the need to listen to some great music and on 02/18/2023, we went to the Ohio Theatre to listen to the Columbus Symphony play Schubert's Symphony Number 4. It was our first time listening to these masterfully talented musicians. I have listened to many different symphonies and I can tell you that the Columbus Symphony Orchestra is a first class organization, and you can see it in everything they do! Firstly, they obviously develop young musical talent very well. Before the symphony started, they had a harpist play from their Young Musician's Showcase near the concessions area. She is incredibly talented, and it was truly a pleasure to listen to her before everything started. Secondly, they played masterfully, and even though we were seated well away from orchestra level, we were able to enjoy it. One guy seated in front of us was so moved by the performance, he was actually in tears. I also loved getting a thank you card for attending mailed to my home. I have attended symphonies in many cities across the country, and I have never received that. That is very classy. I plan to come to Columbus again as I am not a local, and if I do, I will be attending another performance by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. If you are visiting Columbus, or live in the city, you need to attend one of their productions. It is simply an amazing experience! It would be a great mistake to miss out on such

What a great experience…read more.. This is a really nice set up for seeing small plays or musicals. We have never been to the Riffe Center before so it was a nice trip downtown. The studios are small so it makes for a very intimate experience which makes a musical even better. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We are excited to see something there again

Such a great theater and plenty of leg room…read more I had no Idea this place was here! My partner grabbed us tickets to see Tom Popa and when he told me it was the Riffe Center, I had to look it up. Parking was easy and used the Riffe Center Parking Garage at 78 South Front Street. It's a smaller garage so we lucked out but my back up was going to be the Ohio Statehouse Underground Parking Garage. Check in was easy and plenty of staff and ushers on hand. Seats were comfortable and nice legged room. I was completely impressed. Located downtown Columbus, the (Jo Ann) Davidson Theatre is part of The Riffe Center Theatre Complex. It is on the third floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts (named after Vernal G. Riffe, Jr.) at 77 S. High Street.

The merch line blocked a lot of the lobby as well and it was less organized. For the second event I attended, the merch line was against the wall and went into the theater room. It was so much quicker and efficient. The staff is always so nice when taking you to your seat, etc. I don't think there's ever a bad seat here!
