For my 1100th review, I am going to write about my amazing experience at Level One Bar+ Arcade!…read more I promised my brother a surprise during our trip to Columbus, OH if he passed his insurance agents license. He passed, so I took him to Level One Bar+ Arcade. I did it to have some brother bonding time. Its been years since either one of us had stepped into an arcade and really spent hours playing in one. Some of our fondest memories together occurred while playing video games and in video arcades. Thus, it was wonderful to relive those moments together and create new memories at another video arcade. Really cool place, ambience definitely is a cool classical arcade that just happens to have a bar inside. Tons of games here! You can find all the classics, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, etc. Talk about memories... i remember playing Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat at arcades when I was in grade school. I got go relive memories when I played X-Men the Arcade Game, a game I beat at an arcade when I was in middle school. The only disappointment was with Rampage. I jumped for joy when I saw it! I loved playing as either George, Ralph, or Lizzie as gigantic monsters devouring the worlds population and destroying cities when i was younger! Alas! It was not operable! My years away from playing video games showed my rusty skills. I used to be a beast in games, i did alright but man have my skills deteriorated since college. Again, we played for hours, and had a great time together. We did not spend a lot of money, all non-pinball games are free. We also did play some pinball games like The Walking Dead, and You Only Live Twice. Level One Bar+ Arcade made our last night in Columbus, a wonderful night. I definitely recommend coming here!

One of my favorite places ever. Good games and great drinks. My favorite is the princess peachread more

I love this studio almost as much as I love the people there!…read more We've been having Pam dance with us at my work for onsight fitness classes for awhile. I loved her amazing attitude and her dance classes so much I had to have more! I started coming here to the studio about a month ago. First off - if you are thinking about trying the studio out, you can - unlimited classes - for a week FOR FREE. Rates are incredibly reasonable and they even have hip hop for kids! So, even though Pam lured me to the studio i've gotten totally hooked on all the other instructors classes! There are so many types to choose from and they are all amazing! I especially 'love' Core RX on Sunday morning. I mean, I totally want to die the whole time, praying for it to be over but once it is....it feels so good! I love the community feeling and support from everyone - and I think my butt is starting to look pretty good! What more can you ask for, right?!

So I've been going to Columbus fit life for about 3 weeks now and I'm LOVING it! Everyone was so…read morewelcoming our first visit when we took a Zumba class by Ashley. The next class we took was barbell sculpt, a total body workout that had me SO sore the next day! Rhythm's musique class is kind of like hip hop, super high energy and will get you sweating! They are also adding boxing classes this month! They have great options for memberships and class packages. Every so often they have specials to save you money as well. I believe right now you buy 6 month membership and get 2 months free.

When you think of "things to do on a Friday or Saturday Night" you don't hear a lot of people…read moresaying "Lets go to a board gaming club!" At least that is what I thought back in 2009 when I first discovered this place. Now - at the time I was a novice to board gaming. Sure I played Monopoly or Battleship, but this was something more. Its not just a place for people to play games, is a community. The first time I walked into this place, I was nervous. Not sure what to expect or how many people would be there. I was very pleased and reassured. Not only was I greeted at the Door by a board member for the club, I was given the tour and immediately asked to join in the fun. I didn't know then... but this opened my world to a whole new form on entertainment. Being a gamer , as in board gaming, was something new to me. So I didn't know where to start or learn games. Here they have people who are more then happy to teach a game to you. They will let you play the game at your learning pace -despite being able to breeze through the game on memory of playing. There is food trucks that come to the meetings and it varies each time. There are snacks available for purchase to munch on through out the day. Lets talk about the games they have... with well over 750+ games in their library they have everything from kids games , to card games, to euro and war games. This is a place for all gamers. They even have a Designer's group where people create and play test games. Its great to be involved in such a community of gaming, and as years have past the gaming community has just grown. Your first visit is totally free, and if you return again and again its only $5.00 a visit. You can chose to join, and become a full member with CABS. Honestly the prices have changed several times over the years. I do know that the 2015 rate will be $80 for returning members and $49.00 for new members (not having been apart of CABS in the last 3 years) The Membership includes: Access to the ever growing Library (currently 750+ games) Free admittance to Buckeye Game Fest. (locally ran by CABS) 4 day gaming event Ability to 'check out' games from the library An All General Meeting in December (with holiday potluck) After Turkey Day - 36+ hour gaming event Discounts at local gaming stores 41+ meetings in a year (Friday/Saturday alternating usually) CABS has become a place where I love going. I have made several friends and been involved with chances to meet people creating games, publishing games, and playing games.

Though I usually just make friends and meet with them and talk about design, there is the occasion where I wish I could stay longer and join in on a new game I hadn't seen yet (which is a lot of them!). I definitely recommend you check this place out. First visit is free!

The schedule is easy to find on MindBody as well as posted in the studio. Studio fees are reasonable. The studio is clean and well lit and has all of the equipment you need for each class. There are 2 class spaces - a small yoga-ish studio off of the main room and a larger concrete floor studio in back with a small platform/stage and a roll up door for ventilation/extra light. Both have plenty of mirrors, light, and fans if needed. Alicia and her staff are super friendly and welcoming. There is always someone at the desk greeting students and getting you situated. Another cool note is that Alicia sponsors or partners with non-Columbus-based instructors who don't have studio space for extra offerings or events.
