When I called to ask why and what happened I was met with rudeness, confusion and a half apology. We were promised they would remedy the problem the next morning, which they also failed at! We waited til noon and contacted another funeral home who picked our mother up from the medical examiner and had her in their custody while Bennie Smith Funeral home were still promising to go get her. The owner should've reached out to apologize at the very least, but he didn't. After requesting a refund, all we received was a sad face and a "sorry" from the woman who handed us the refund check. This whole ordeal was further traumatizing and extremely disrespectful. Please avoid! Death of a loved one is already traumatic, this business added more stress to our heartbreak.
