I scheduled an appointment because I was very concerned about the possibility of dementia and was feeling scared and overwhelmed. From the moment Dr. Zardouz walked into the room, he made me feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. He took his time listening to all of my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. What impressed me most was how incredibly thorough he was. He performed a detailed neurological examination, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and answered every single one of my questions with patience and compassion. Instead of dismissing my concerns, he took them seriously and made sure I understood the next steps in my evaluation. Dr. Zardouz is not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but he also has an outstanding bedside manner--something that is becoming harder and harder to find. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail gave me confidence and peace of mind during a very stressful time. Dementia and Alzeihmers runs in my family and my father has dementia and progressing rapidly. If you are looking for a neurologist who truly listens, cares about his patients, and provides exceptional medical care, I highly recommend Dr. Bijan Zardous located in Santa Ana, Ca. He is an outstanding specialist, and I feel fortunate to have found him. By the way front office staff is just as exceptional. Thank you to the entire Medical office! I am editing my review because Dr. Zardouz referred me to an ophthalmologist because I am type 2 diabetic newly diagnosed and thanks to him referring me to an ophthalmologist I found out I have narrow angle which causes glaucoma and or blindness. Ophthalmologist told me not to worry because we have caught it on time and a simple procedure might be able to stop the progression. Again thank you Dr. Zardouz you have been a blessing in my life.

The scheduled telehealth calls are not reliable: e.g. a 9:45 a.m. appt is usually provided anytime during the day. This makes it impossible to plan a day around these calls. I have no experience with other pain specialists so have nothing to compare. I am at a loss regarding continuing with this business or cutting ties. Be very careful using this business. The upfront appointments go well but lacking in ongoing communication.

As a result, I have no cartilage between my leg and foot and severe arthritis. I have lived with pain the entire time. Whenever I asked a practitioner for something for the pain, they either suggested ibuprofen or said they don't prescribe opioids. Hmm, I wonder if that's a liability thing? Rosemary engaged in dialogue with me about my pain. Describe what your pain is like--dull, throbbing, shooting? When did I feel it? What brought it on? What made it worse, etc. After these conversations she explained her diagnosis and therapeutic plan. She started me on a milder pain medication regimen and, when I didn't get relief, either increased dosage or changed medication. What I appreciate, among many aspects of her practice, is her belief that no one should live in pain. Her level of care and respect are exemplary. I wish all primary care practitioners shared her beliefs.

Dr. Todd Peters (now retired) and his assistant Kaylee were excellent for low back consultations, X-rays, and PT prescriptions--always available and thorough. Dr. Melikian, a spine specialist, saw me for neck/shoulder pain. Despite bringing neck X-rays/MRIs, he quickly identified shoulders as the primary issue (limited rotation vs. decent neck mobility) and referred me to Dr. Shore. He never rushed me, always ensured I had no more questions, and his assistant Joanna was phenomenal--one of the best I've encountered. She performed quick but detailed tests (grip strength, rotation, tender points) and genuinely cared, helping shift focus to my shoulder effectively. Dr. Vivek Babaria (pain management) treated chronic neck tightness and cervical radiculopathy. In 2023, he did facet joint injections; in 2025, an epidural steroid injection (C5-C7 herniations) that finally helped with issues where neck pain was keeping me from sleeping. His newer assistant Hank in late 2025 was equally impressive, starting with conservative treatment when I brought an MRI showing mild shoulder tendinosis/bursitis, prescribing PT and baclofen, then noting clear posture/pain improvement at month follow-up. They did not overtreat and go straight to another injection which was nice. From imaging reviews to injections and conservative care, everyone at DISC stands out for attentiveness and expertise.
