I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Dr. Gluzman was so awful that I feel it's important to warn others. I came in seeking help for chronic, debilitating pain caused by a genetic disorder, hoping for compassion and solutions. Instead, I was met with condescension, judgment, and zero empathy. After asking about my medical history, the doctor made an unnecessary and insulting comment implying that, because I have a history of depression, I'm "high risk for opiates." I wasn't in his office asking for opiates -- I was asking for help managing my pain. He jumped to that conclusion within the first 2 minutes of our appointment and judged me incorrectly. Then, he read in my chart that I have used marijuana before to try to help with the pain, which I had a prescription for and is legal in this state now, and he actually said, "Well if you manage your pain with marijuana, why are you here?" That comment perfectly captures the dismissive, superior attitude I experienced. I explained that marijuana doesn't help my pain, but he wasn't interested, he had already made his judgement. Instead of empathy, I was labeled and judged, case closed. Encounters like this are exactly why so many people avoid seeing doctors. I left feeling humiliated, invalidated, and completely unheard. If you're looking for a doctor who listens, cares, and treats patients like human beings -- keep looking because it is NOT Dr. Gluzman. read more

I saw Dr. Gluzman for my back pain as a self pay patient as I didn't have health insurance. The initial consultation, follow up visits and even injections are reasonable and affordable. He ordered an MRI and X-rays at my first visit and his staff hooked me up with a facility that is also reasonable in price for my imaging, they even helped expedite my appointment and got it all scheduled for me. When I went back for my follow to discussed my results the doctor took his time and was straight out forward and explained in detail what was going on and even looked at my imaging with me and pointed out my problem, we discussed that an epidural would help make my pain better but not fix my spine problem. I also saw him for my shoulder pain, he did a diagnostic ultrasound and said he could do an injection if not better with rest and aggravating factors. Overall both the doctor and staff are attentive, patient, caring and professional. Dr. Guzman is compassionate, thorough, and a very clear communicator. He uses hand gestures and physical demonstrations to help you understand what he is saying. Two days before seeing Dr. Guzman I had extreme pain in my left shoulder and mobility restriction so bad I could not lift a cup of water or turn my steering wheel to the right with my left hand. Dr Guzman pointed 2 points on my shoulder that were the source of my pain. I treated these points with an EMS device which eliminated almost all the pain and restored most of my mobility by the next day. He explained that cause of my pain was that the ball of my shoulder was not setting properly in Its socket. He then demonstrated proper posture positions to help align my shoulder and prescribed physical therapy as the least invasive way to help increase mobility and balance the strength in my shoulder area to help stabilize and keep the shoulder in place. Staff is friendly and the wait time is reasonable especially when you consider how much time he spends with you. My son saw him for back and neck issues and my wife saw for a shoulder issue. Both were happy. I would highly recommend Dr. Guzman for any pain issues. read more

I have overall mixed reception from my experience, but I lean towards a slightly positive. I got referred to here to get a nerve conduction study and EMG. The first visit ended up not being the study and more of a getting information from me even though I already filled out a patient form online. The doctor ended up doing some of those typical hand tests to check for certain nerve diseases.But did not do the nerve study until a second appointment later that week.It was annoying to go into an appointment expecting something, but apparently having to get rescheduled for another time unexpectedly. When I actually.Got the nerve conduction study on the second visit, things went relatively well.There was an unfortunate accident where the computers weren't starting up, but the doctor was very apologetic and thankfully I had a Pretty flexible work schedule so I can wait while he fixed the the nerve study program.Thankfully, once the.Nerve testing actually got started. Things went pretty smoothly. The doctor went through the study and within like 10 to 15 minutes, I was all done.The doctor was even kind enough to go over the nerve report with me.Giving me a copy and sending the report copy to the referring Dr. That said I did knock off A point post Visit.The nerve study he did did show very minor Median nerve delay or carpal tunnel on right hand. However, the study showed normal for my left hand, which was weird considering that hand was hurting more at the time.I visited another neurologist and he told me that this study ended up not being completely comprehensive.So when I got a second nerve study at another place, I found out Doctor Gluzman actually misdiagnosed the nerve delay on my left hand, which is actually definitely a bit more than my right hand. In addition, the EMG was missing some important points related to my personal injury, which meant checking the muscles on the brachial plexus area. Thankfully, those areas ended up not really having an issue, but it's just weird that the nerve Delay on the left side was completely misdiagnosed through Doctor Gluzman's test.I guess that's just what happens when he's not a pure neurologist specialist and more of a pain management doctor. That said, the test itself did go relatively well and was still informative for future doctors visits, so I was overall mildly satisfied with my visit to Doctor Gluzman. Just keep in mind if you get referred here for NCS, there's a chance you might have to have a second appointment to get the actual study. read more

This doctor or secretary charged me for a visit that the doctor refused to examine me, I went there and because Newport Orthopedic did the last epidural, he refused to see and he said, " I won't charge you for the visit" of course he can't charge because he did not examined me. This is fraud and I already called the insurance company to let them know. I won't ever come here even if he agreed to see me!! I called Allie the secretary and she said, she will need to ask him!
