I arrived around 8am for an 8:20 appointment and was taken back around 8:15! Dr. Cotant suggested that for my follow up I meet with the NP, Heather Gulish (she apparently does a lot of work with women in their clinic) and I look forward to meeting her.

There is no way I could get away without it because of the tubes grinding inside me, I looked like George Burns walking at the end of Oh God II. It took at least a year and half for me to recover inside and outside from the stone basketing and stents. Stay away from anything with acid in the liquid you drink or you will be sorry.

I had to make an appointment and wait two or more hours in a waiting room with over 100 people in it just to drop off a urine sample, when I can do this via my PCP at HFHS in less than five minutes. I do not blame my urologist. I blame the profit driven corporate structure controlled by the Ascension system, which has a terrible record of malpractice lawsuits, no doubt not because the doctors are bad, but because their office staff are so terrible, and especially rude on the phone, even to a physcian. I am changing to a urologist from the Beaumont system. But don't blame the doctor!

I did not know the cause but it was truly horrific, shocking and unmerciful troublesome. If left untreated fatality was a certainty. He has to be more than a doctor, maybe, he's a creative person aligned with the Arts. Notwithstanding, during the early outpatient consultation, Dr. Jay B. Review for Dr. Farrah F. Ahmad, MD…read more I had an appointment with Dr. Farrah F. Ahmad at 11:45 AM on 7/22. During the visit, the doctor was respectful and helpful. She refilled my medication and ordered full blood work. However, my experience with the office staff was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On 7/22, I was told the office was out of blood test kits and instructed to return the next day for a walk-in. When I returned at 11:00 AM on 7/23, the outer door was open, but the second glass door was locked. I saw someone inside playing loud music and talking on the phone. When I knocked, a staff member came to the door and said no one was in the office, so I couldn't complete my blood work--despite being told to come back. She said they would fax the lab order to Corewell Hospital so I could get the blood work done there. After waiting seven days, Corewell still had not received any order. I even checked my chart and confirmed nothing had been sent. When I called Dr. Ahmad's office, the staff insisted it was sent, but I knew they were lying. I could even hear them laughing in the background while speaking with me, which was very disrespectful and unprofessional. When I met Dr. Ahmad on 7/22, I had already raised concerns about the staff's rude behavior and showed her evidence. She apologized and assured me that it would be addressed--but unfortunately, nothing has changed. I feel mentally exhausted and disrespected by this ongoing pattern of carelessness, dishonesty, and poor service. The staff continues to behave irresponsibly, and I've now made the decision to change my primary care provider. I do not recommend this practice. * Staff is consistently rude, dishonest, and unprofessional * Long wait times even with scheduled appointments (sometimes up to 3 hours) * Often, you don't even see the doctor--only a physician assistant * If you question anything, the staff responds rudely and dismissively This feels more like a business than a place for genuine patient care. Signed in and no one was around so I had a seat. The screen they had running said Welcome, SIgn in and someone will be with you shortly. Well I watched 2 people go in and still nothing was happening with me. Soon more people showed including new people that were handed paperwork to fill out, still I sat. Then after 25 minutes and no more patience for being ignored again, I walked to the window and there sat the lady, I asked what the fee was for canceling an appt and she said nothing. Asked my name, I picked up the sign in sheet and showed her. Then said I was our of there. I wasn't waiting any longer to be recognized as a new patient and wait for paper work. She looked a little stunned. If there was a zero for this rating I would be giving that. I called the main office and made a complaint and was told, so sorry this happened, this will be dealth with and they would get me in with another doctor as soon as this afternoon in another location - NO THANK YOU I told the lady. I would NOT be returning to any Comprehensive Urology offices again. I will never know if they have a doctor that could help me or not, but if the staff is this bad, I'm not sure if the doctor would be any good, since she should have someone at the front desk that knows how to handle a front desk.

When I called the office for a follow-up, I let the staff know that I wanted to see a different doctor. The staff member's first comment, "Was she rude to you?" before I could mention anything lol. My advice, avoid Corewell Hell at all costs for urology. Go to U of M. This is where I wound up going for my second kidney stone surgery after Corewell Hell put a stint in me for a month and could not schedule a removal for 2 months, which was 100% ridiculous. Even though, I had a kidney stone and it was super painful, it was a top notch experience at U of M, and I was treated with care and respect.
