They gave me a steroid shot, put me on some meds and sent me on my way. When things became worse, I went to visit a second Dermatologist, who then recommended I see an Allergist. Blood tests were always normal, no allergies ever came up and it got to a point where the doctors would just tell me, "I don't know what it is. Take these meds and hopefully it'll go away on its own." After seeing 5 doctors multiple times over the course of 7 to 8 months, my mom recommended I fly back home to Michigan (I live in Texas) to see her Primary Care Provider. After hesitation and thinking to myself, "Why would I spend money to fly all the way home to see someone who will probably run the same tests?," I made the appointment and booked my flight. ONE VISIT, ONE APPOINTMENT, and I received an emailed report and phone call of the exact issue, the causes and the treatment. Nurse Practitioner Tamika Morrow was very thorough, professional and was sure to follow-up throughout my 3 month treatment plan that was given to me. Upon completing the treatment, my hives were completely gone. I hate that it took 8 months of wasted money dealing with incompetent doctors who only did surface level requirements but I'm grateful that Synergy Health & Wellness was able to get me back to good health. Great service. Great staff. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone and will be flying back to Michigan annually for my regular health checkins. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Originally, my prescription was for 1 1/2 pills, which meant I had to split a pill each day. At my last routine physical, I mentioned to Dr. Kastl that I had been taking 2 pills instead because it wasn't always convenient to cut them, and the difference in dosage was minimal. She agreed and officially changed my prescription to 2 pills. Six months later, when I requested a refill, I was told I had to schedule a medication check before it would be approved. I scheduled and attended the appointment, which lasted about five minutes and involved no meaningful discussion or changes to my treatment. The following week, I received a $150 bill for that brief visit. I contacted Dr. Kastl multiple times to express my concern and pointed out that, based on my understanding of Michigan law and federal guidelines, the medication I take does not require a mandatory six-month follow-up. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or showing any empathy, my messages were dismissed by simply stating "it's our policy". In this situation, patient care took a back seat to billing. After being a loyal patient for years, I was extremely disappointed by how this was handled. I will not be returning to this practice and would encourage others to carefully consider their options when choosing a primary care provider.

He is no longer the skilled doctor. He is a money-hungry doctor, who sees his patients as secondary to his financial gain. Additionally, there are better doctors out there with more skills and more advanced surgical procedures, because they are focused on the important part which is the patient and results. He is continually trying to push his laser services and ancillary services that fix his botched surgeries. I truly believe this is a strategy for him to make more. He makes grandiose claims about laser results that are false. Also, he is associated with Huron Valley hospital, which is a terrible hospital and leaves you with serious injuries. Check out their reviews for validation. He will tell you what you want to hear but he speaks untruths. BEWARE!

Wing informed no one was taking new patients, 7 weeks didn't sound that bad. Luckily for me I didn't have anything urgent that required immediate attention. My previous doctors office was a complete shitshow. The staff were rude, barely competent and hated their jobs. The first thing I noticed about Troy Internal Medicine was how friendly everyone was. From the person I spoke to on the phone, the front desk receptionist, the nurse and most importantly the doctor, everyone was kind and, patient and treated me with respect. I saw Dr. Rocco now on two occasions and she is a pleasure. She does not rush you, she listens to you, gets to know you and makes you feel comfortable. I immediately knew she would become my PCP and had to look new further. I really enjoy that they offer most services right in office so I don't need to go elsewhere for things like blood work.

The app doesn't work. They "don't process refill requests from pharmacies". You can't request refills online because of the broken app and the front desk doesn't care about patients, the receptionists are rude, dismissive and accusatory. I had a physical in March. I assumed that my doctor just refilled all my meds then but she didn't. I needed one today so I called to get that handled because Troy Internal Medicine wasn't responding to the pharmacy. After a 20 minute wait a receptionist finally answered and was completely disinterested in anything I had to say. She was rude and dismissive, for no reason. She also didn't pay attention to what I was saying and got the name of the medication wrong. ( I found this out hours later ) A couple of hours go by and I call the pharmacy, Troy Internal Medicine called in every medication OTHER THAN THE ONE I NEED. I called the doctor's office back ( another long wait ), got a different receptionist and she informed me that the medication I needed came up on something called MAPS as being filled in March. I told her that it was last filled in January, read it from my bottle and she all but accused me of drug seeking. I was totally confused because the medication I needed isn't even a controlled substance in any sort of MAPS sense and I've been taking it for decades. she assured me that she would discuss it with my doctor. I call the pharmacy, they confirm that I didn't have it filled in March and ask the doctors office to call them, I call the doctors office and after another 20 minute wait I ask them to call the pharmacy. I wait another hour and call the pharmacy, of course they never received a call from Troy IM. This time the pharmacist answered and he said "they are confusing the medications, they think you are asking for drug A, which was refilled in March, ( and I've taken 2 of ) not drug B which was last refilled in January and isn't a MAPS drug so they flagged you as drug seeking for the wrong medication. FLAGGED ME AS DRUG SEEEKING???? what??? All because ONE receptionist didn't want to bother listening to what I was saying. She shouldn't be working with people and she definitely shouldn't be working with patients at a doctor's office. Bottom line: avoid this doctor's office. the ratings are in the toilet for a reason.
